          there’s a lot of things about their    ------   relationship?? that hermione wouldn’t have been able to guess and her wrinkled nose says that for her as she attempts to smile.          “don’t worry, the world isn’t going to end,”          she assures, heading down the hall with purpose.          “eventually, everyone without their head up their arse’ll realize there’s no reason to project their anger onto innocent people. you included, you know.”

He shutters violently at the thought. “If bad boy means ‘sycophantic momma’s boy’ to you then I worry James. And please? Peter? Look at me I’m an Adonis, men and women alike throw themselves at my feet. I don’t need to settle for Peter.”

            james wrinkles his nose, thinking of their mousey friend.            “c’mon, james. peter isn’t that bad   ------”            and then he stops himself.            “you could at least get moony, i give you that, although i think he’s more concerned with studying than with boys. or girls. i mean we have to force him to have fun.”

“I have no fucking clue, I would have volunteered but everyone’s made it clear they hate me so I left it to Poe and Finn to figure out. It’s definitely not Hux, we had an disagreement in the library for like an hour on tuesday.”

            “drama queen. no one hates you, we just don’t enjoy the whole ‘and the entire party’s dead’ mentality you take into it. no one wants the TPK, kylo. no one. ‘cept for you, of course. and good. i hope you hit him. he needs a slap after some of the shit he pulled with finn.”

◤(un)popular opinion; i’m not really a fan of muses who pull the ‘i’m not afraid of you, lol’ card with dangerous or powerful muses when they are being threatening ( or even if they appear humble or cute but are full of power ). if it wasn’t for being called god modding, i’m 700% sure these more powerful muses would have, could have, should have killed another muse if they persistently irritate them. especially if the offending character is a run of the mill human. unless your muse has dealt with similar monsters/menacing personalities/dangerous situations - try not to antagonize deadly muses to the point of obvious rage knowing the writer can’t really write them killing your muse even though that is completely in their nature to do so.

          bottom lip slips between front teeth, gaze still focused on the floor as she curls her fingers around hermione’s hand.            ❛ oh, please, ❜            she mumbles, eyes finally flickering up to catch hers.            ❛ it’s nothing. really. ❜              

            “it totally is,”           hermione argues softly and she takes the hand in hers and leads her away from the next group of students.            “i’m head-bloody-girl, you know? you’re excused. you have a detention. with me, to be served immediately. in the kitchens were we can get some chips.”

                     he  was  holding  back  an  urge  to  shove  her  away  from  him  with  his  very  own  hands,  don’t  get  him  wrong  about  that.  he  would’ve  done  it  by  now  if  it  weren’t  for  the  fact  that  he  had  morals  and  would  never  touch  a  girl  in  that  way  despite  the  matter  of  her  blood  purity.  he’d  feel  her  breath  on  his  neck,  making  hairs  erect  and  body  shudder  with  slight  disgust.   ❝ get  any  closer,  granger  and  i’ll  be  forced  to  breath  in  your  toxic  air.  perhaps  you’d  prefer  to  get  on  my  back?  would  definitely  make  it  easier  for  you.  ❞  

                     it’s  drilled  in.  from  birth,  he  were  told  anyone  without  pureblood  were  lesser  than  him.  they  weren’t  worthy  of  his  time  nor  his  effort.  yet  he  were  worst  about  purity  around  his  fellow  housemates  then  when  he  were  alone.  they  aren’t  his  own  thoughts,  it  were  like  he  had  been  brainwashed.  with  a  quick  glance  into  the  classroom  and  seeing  that  it  were  abandoned,  he stepped  into  it  with  the  end  of  his  wand  lit  up  and  left  her  behind.  he  didn’t  care  about  her  or  whether  she  folllowed  him,  all  he  cared  about  were  what  he  was  hoping  to  find.

            she looks up, taking a step back from him and staring at the back of his head in a moment of anger. she can feel it then, the same cold fury that had sent her punching malfoy in the middle of their third year.             “you know. i’d take the insults more seriously if any of you were BETTER than me. or how do your supremacy loving peers explain away my being top of the class?”            she knew the attitude rested mostly with the slytherins but that didn’t mean she’d not experienced from their society as a whole. she’d just hoped, as a child, that racism wouldn’t follow her from her small town existence where the faces had all been white and plain, and children had insisted her dad didn’t look like her.

            “guess what zabini. in the muggle world they go on about the same sorts of things, except i can’t even see what your lot are on about.”            and it’s frustrating but she can’t fix it, so instead she still follows, giving him more space despite herself. she can’t wait until the day when it’s just mudbloods and the few hold outs, alone and unable to stop the tide of blood impurity.

             he’s got her there, but the first part? she doesn’t buy it, sure the slytherins do seem to have a better drive for self preservation than some gryffindors but they ALL lack it occasionally. hermione stays close, attempting to glance over his shoulder in curiosity.

              “i figured no one would try and find trouble with me around,”             she mumbles at him, her voice dipping. really, she’d been surprised when he’d not told her to shove off.       are we there yet, are we there yet?    asks her inner monologue and she bites back a laugh.

i asked him once while we both got high why it was that i could write novels about him until the words got tired of being anagrams of his name - but at the same time he would never reciprocate. he blew a smoke ring and broke it with his finger. “dunno,” he said. we would fuck again later.

i found him once sitting on my floor staring at a picture from when i was young. “god,” he said, “i really fucked you up.”
