Asa Emory || THE COLLECTION (2012)
Arkin about to experience unimaginable horrors
I have this weird fascination as to why Asa carries this amount of keys on him. Like I obviously know those keys all have their respective locks and all, but just the way he acts with it is so interesting. I think it’s interesting that he carries that many keys and manages to stay silent, but also nobody talks about the fact that he has keys to the houses? In the first movie he already carries the keys to the locks, it might just be to make sure everything is locked but then later on it’s pointed out that the actual key to the front door is broken? Why keep it on his ring if it has no use?
I also noticed as The Collector when he has the keys he’s very on edge, there isn’t a moment where they aren’t either attached to his hip or he’s holding them in his grip. There is literally not a second you don’t see him holding them or at his hip as The Collector, even in the first movie you can see how panicked he is when he realizes they’re no longer at his side. He quite literally frantically searches at his hip and even pulls at his shirt to make sure they’re not just accidentally tucked in. I figured they’re important, hence why he’s constantly having them in his hands.
But then you see him at home as Asa, he’s not as protective of his items as Asa or in his home. He carelessly throws them on his table, he’s not tense and he’s not on guard. In the privacy of his own home, he’s relaxed and acts pretty normal. It’s only when he feels threatened does he tense up and is a lot more rigid. Not that any of this makes sense…I just think it’s neat to see the complete contrast between The Collector and Asa.
I want to Believe.
There is a house centipede (extremely leggy, extremely fast nightmare creatures that scare me, but they're good so I don't want to hurt him!) that will not stop jumping into my kitchen sink at night. This is a problem because he can't get back out again. Then he won't let me fish him out. And I'm kind of very afraid of him. So, like, twice a week I have to spend the morning getting very very scared while trying to catch a house centipede who is also very very scared, and it ruins both of our days.
idk if this is a problem anyone else has. it is a problem that I have had, and so I am posting the solution. there is a picture of the house centipede under the cut just FYI.
