2 Years of Otsuyu!

First picture vs the latest one

I never would've guessed - when I first created her - that she'd turn out to become my new main OC but here we are. Two years in and she's still haunting my mind like nobody else 😂✨

Some yapping and reminiscing below cut

Tbh. I always envied the people who could get so obsessed with just one character and pour so much love onto them that other people start to like the OC so much too. I always jumped from one character to the next for many years - in fact I am planning at least 2 big stories with a big ass cast for years now. 👁👄👁 might gonna write a book or make a webcomic out of one.

But back to Otsuyu. When I made her I just wanted a blank character to play around with in the Haikyuu-Setting and she kinda built herself influenced by that. Afterwards I started to make a few AUs with her, still tied to the Haikyuu-Cast and explored her more.

Well then - last year - there was the time when someone I used to care about told me they felt neglected because I stopped making exclusive OC-ship-things with them, and they couldn't get a grip on Otsuyu, despite liking her. So I slowed down with her, but still kept her in mind - but it also let to stop writing on my big fics focusing on her because I didn't want to hurt that former friend...

Until they ghosted me and I participated in Artfight for the first time and Otsuyu got so much love that I felt relieved tbh. The "friendship" ended after I confronted them about that behaviour and from then on I could focus on what brings me joy without remorse.

And that is: OTSUYU

I started to interact with people from the same fandoms I was in from then on - kinda got out of that exlusivity shell - and I am happy that Otsuyu and I got love ;w; especially from the Lookism- and Haikyuu OC fandom 😭
