why we all think Kip's dad is the real MVP...
I put together the other night which words sum up how all the reactions have been to a super-supportive parental figure like him...
He is the only parental figure shown whose love does not have to be EARNED.
Kip is loved unconditionally, unlike
Scott (a faith and church gave him his opportunity and he better be grateful not gay),
Shane (he needs to perform at peak not only on the ice but also as role model for racial representation) and
Ilya (gets humiliated and called slurs by father and brother at every chance and carries a country’s expectations on his shoulders).
And this might have just broken my already aching heart for all of us who are not loved unconditionally.
