( nct’s rising signs series✨) taeyong ~ pisces
There’s been a lot of debate about Taeyong’s ascendant sign as a lot of people speculated him being a Scorpio rising ! ( myself included) . However, a while ago during a vlive , Taeyong actually stated that he believes he was born around 11 pm ( while this may not be 100% percent confirmed, he did mention he asked his mother which we can only assume it is in fact his accurate birth time) .
If this is the case, that would make Taeyong a Pisces rising! Which I’ve seen a lot of people question since Taeyong is known for having a very strong and intimidating appearance. Pisces risings aren’t usually known for having such appearance as they tend to have a softer and more approachable look to them ( for example, Jaehyun who’s also a Pisces rising ).
Although, after taking a look at his birth chart with his rumored birth time, I saw that Pluto is actually squaring his Ascendant! Which makes a lot of sense, when Pluto is squaring one’s Ascendant , this can give the person a very magnetic and powerful appearance, making them appear very scorpionic. For exmaple, an intense and alluring gaze. ( which Taeyong is known for )
Another thing I wanted to note, if his birth time is indeed correct, it would also mean Saturn is in his 1st house. The 1st house is also known for affecting one’s appearance ( for example, moon in the 1st house can give one a round and youthful face ) . Saturn being in his 1st house can give make someone appear very intimidating and almost rigid in their manners. Not only that, Saturn in the 1st is also known for making someone have good facial structure (Saturn rules the bones granting people with amazing bone structure) and it can make someone have an almost downcast look to them. Giving them a natural frown or stern facial expression ( hence Taeyong’s iconic resting bitch face ) . This can give the impression that he is cold or upset when he’s indeed not.
Side note: Saturn in the 1st house also mentiones insecurity with one’s appearance when they are young ( Taeyong has mentioned how he struggled with self confidence and was even unsafisfied with his looks at a certain point ) but this placement also grants the person with a striking beauty as they grow older .
However, I also want to mention that while Taeyong indeed has a powerful aura, his Pisces rising can be seen a lot of the time in my opinion! It’s usually more noticeable in a relaxed setting when he’s off stage. I’ve noticed it a lot in interviews and when he’s simply talking to people, he gives off a much more warm and welcoming vibe. Let’s not forget his big round puppy dog eyes! Pisces risings are known for having large almost sad looking eyes, even appearing lost in a sense.
Pisces risings are also known for being very creative and artisitic. There’s actually a lot of Pisces risings in the Kpop industry! It’s a common placement for artists. Which isn’t suprising as this is a rising sign that has great potential to be talented in any artistic profession. You can see this in a lot of Taeyong’s lyrics and how he expresses himself through dancing . They are also very flexible and almost chameleon-like ? This can also explain why he can switch between his on and off stage persona so quickly and with such ease! They are very good at adapting to their surroundings and to those around them. Shyness is another trait among this rising sign, quite sensitive and can pick up on other people’s emotions very easily. ( we’ve seen how well he seems to comfort and reassure his members ) .
