like the sheer overwhelming pointlessness of alicent’s harrenhal detour for her character or the narrative. why did this rhaena plot even happen if it is acknowledged rhaenyra not only never was going to kill her but even let’s her move back in and she’s pissed at daemon but also like “i understand why he did it.” there’s nothing to say. there’s not an arc or a story. things just sort of happen. 80% of the episodes are complete hot air in a season that is only 8 episodes. the shortened episode order cannot account for like the complete incompetence at compelling storytelling on display. my main feeling is bafflement
