2024 Art Summary

I think this is the least amount of art I’ve ever done in a year, I struggled to even find a piece for each month.

I struggled a lot with burn out and art block this year. It drove me crazy, I wanted to draw but nothing, somedays I’d open my canvas and the blank white canvas would stare back at me, i’d get nothing done.

My senior thesis took so much out of me and I struggled to recover from it. I had trouble picking art back up, the flow of it was gone. It’s hard to pick art back up after dropping it, everything I made felt like a burst of inspiration and then gone. When I was younger I had so much time and now it feels like I am running out of time the older I get. I’m not but it feels like I am.

I think you can tell by the cosplay stuff I post more on my other socials, I spent more focus on it to help my mind calm down with the lack of production. I can only ignore art for so long before feeling guilty I haven’t done more, but hanging out with friends is always fun.

I don’t know i’m just rambling, it’s not much but it’s still something. I don’t know how to feel about my work this year, maybe proud maybe not.
