“Yeah of course I’m heading over! I wasn’t lying on our last call y’know.”
“I’m serious! You’re about to get surgery!”
“Just give me a sec… here see! You see where I’m at now yeah? So just let me come over and help, you know I live hours away right?”
“Look I’m about half an hour away so you’re getting me regardless alright? I just have to stop for gas first.”
“I already took time off of work. I’ll even go ahead and shut my work phone off so stop the bullshit.”

“Just tell me why you don’t want me coming over!”
“What the hell do you mean by a stalker!”
At that point I’ve already gotten out of my car, almost dropping my phone in surprise at this reveal.
“…Look, even if we’re near identical it’s not like one person can stalk the both of us! Hell we can even fight the bastard or catch them in the act! It’s better than you being alone!”
I was pissed that someone was creeping on my family, and even more upset that they didn’t tell anyone!
“Okay, okay. I filled up the tank and I’m on my way over, I’m stopping by that place you love and grabbing us some food and then we’re going to talk about this alright?”
Damn it! Even a reconstructive surgery is still a surgery! This kind of stress isn’t good for them…
Getting back in my car I can’t help but sigh. I love my family but we need to talk to each other more, not telling someone something might get someone killed after all.
“…Yeah I’ll ask for extra sauce, see you soon.”
Worse case scenario I have them move in with me for a bit, they’ll need to rest after the operation anyways.
Now that I think about they have a van which would be pretty useful for moving stuff, my cars great but I know they’d want to bring too much for my car to handle.

I’m already at the restaurant.
Damn. I should’ve called ahead and ordered, it’s going to take forever for the food to be ready.
Thankfully the place looks… empty?

There’s some other guy heading over here.
He’s wearing a cute suit with a matching eyepatch and dyed hair.
That’s a really cute aesthetic, especially with the stitching scattered on his suit.
Then I see the look on his face, the strange way he’s moving.
“Oh, um, sorry” I stammer out. He’s… glaring? at me? I’m not actually sure what that expression means but he’s probably upset at me for staring.
“Hey, hey don’t get so close to me!” He’s making his way closer as I back up. The way he’s moving, his face contorts into something insane.
I keep moving back, there’s something wrong with him.
He’s blocking the way to my car and I don’t see anyone I can call out too.
He lunges out at me! Fingers grasping at my skin, barely missing a proper hold as I yank myself out of his reach.
“Don’t! Don’t get any closer!” This is terrifying, why the hell is this psycho coming after me!
And he looks. Oh on every good thing in the world…
He looks ecstatic at my fear.
I sprint away trying to get to my car before he manages to grab me again.
I slam my phone into his face trying to make him let go!
He smiles. He fucking smiles!
Somehow I managed to loosen his grip enough to run but I have no clue where I am and there no where I can go!
I look back for a moment at this psycho.
Nope! Nope! Nope!
No looking back not allowed nope.
Now what the hell can I do!
Weapons? None! Why would I have any!
My phone? In my hand but I can’t call the police with him chasing after me!
I try but the moment I look down he’s practically on me!
He’s so damn fast!
He throws something at me and it misses by inches!
Heading down another street I look at the dilapidated buildings trying to see something that could help.
Shit!
If I try to call someone he’s going to catch me!
But there’s nothing else I can do but run!
Putting my phone away I sprint faster than I have in years.
I don’t know the area well enough to hide and I haven’t see a single person since that guy started chasing me!
How the hell haven’t I found anyone yet!
Shit.
This is how I die.
I’m cornered and not even at an actual dead end!
He was. He was herding me.
I didn’t notice that until I reach the end of this street. The chase playing over in my mind on loop.
How he’d throw things, causing me to change direction.
How he would run on one side causing me to run on the other and taking whatever path was on that side.
The two turns I could take are blocked off! How the hell does that even happen!

I’m dead.
His hands are on my neck and I barely have enough energy to even try and push him off.
I can hear my heartbeat drowning out everything else.
My blood desperately trying to get to my head.
