witchy tip: put a incense in the middle of your spell, if you’re doing a spell with candles, I like to think of it as like the center and the smoke as the energetic focus for what I want the spell to do, it could be an incense stick or a incense charcoal with the herbs (or any incense resin) on top!

hi queen, im learning withcraft and i have question is it possible to cast a road opening spell + a love spell on someone that has never met you? like a spell for us to meet and for them to fall in love with me?

I hope it hasn't been too long since you've asked this question because I'm just now seeing it! First, I don't know your ethnicity but I only recommend road opener spells to those of certain ethnic backgrounds because of its origins. You can look up the origins of a road opener if you're unfamiliar with them.

To answer your question, I can't speak to what your ethics are but aside from it generally being seen as unethical. Maintaining a spell like that is ongoing because at some point it'll wear off and the person will stop "loving" you. That's another thing to keep in mind, the person won't actually love you, it'll just appear that they do because of the spell. You can't actually make someone fall in love with you that has no feelings for you.

So technically yes and no, you can create the illusion that someone loves you but it'll never be real if they felt nothing for you before the spell.

Hi am I am new to the witchy community and being a cancer moon native I find doing spiritual thing or affirmations to sooth my nervous system and help me regulate my emotions better. So I wanted to channel my inner witch 🧙‍♀️

I am also an avid believer of self love and spirituality (God as the centre) ,and I think I want to tie it all together. I don't have many resources right now and I want to keep my gentle witchcraft a secret . Where should I begin? Are there any books that can help me learn witchcraft?(I am a huge reader and my work is centred in cancer research so).

I'm just now seeing your question so I hope it hasn't been too long since you've asked it! You mentioned being a cancer moon so you may want to look into the book The Way of the Water Priestess by Anwynn Avalon, as you may find working with the water element comes easily to you. But dominant signs in your chart don't necessarily confine you to working with that element, as a matter of fact I don't connect as much with the dominant element in my chart when it comes to my practice.

You may also want to consider more inconspicuous forms of magick such as tea, coffee, & kitchen magick which are less likely to cause someone to question what you're doing. The books Herbal Tea Magic for the Modern Witch & Coffee Magic for the Modern Witch, both by Elsie Wild are good books for these subjects. And if you don't like either coffee or tea a glass of water is enough to hold your intentions. I don't have any book recommendations for kitchen magick, but it can be as simple as looking up the correspondences for a meal you're already preparing. At some point I'm going to start posting food correspondences on my kitchen blog, The Clumsy Witch Kitchen! I have a few up now for recipes I've shared.

One of the most comprehensive books on witchcraft I've ever come across is The Encyclopedia of Witchcraft by Judika Illes. I would try looking for it used, new copies typically run for $36.99 USD. But when it comes down to it you'll start to realize books can only teach you the basics, magick is something within you. You can read all the books and follow spells step by step but the most important component in witchcraft is your energy and intention.
