The Ineffable Professionals Bang... Opening the Collaborative Chaos
Work is never just work, especially not around here
The Ineffable Professionals Bang is officially moving into its collaborative phase! Today on the IPB discord server we revealed the Artist/Writer Matches, and to celebrate we're also unveiling something very exciting: a brand new IPBang banner created by our wonderfully chaotic side-quest artists team, led by @anixfelix and powered by a great deal of creative mischief.
The banner was built across multiple styles and hands, with each piece reflecting a different interpretation of Good Omens characters and the many, many ways they might exist in professional worlds: lawyers, pilots, doctors, diplomats, architects... and probably a few occupations the IPB Roulette Wheel invented out of spite. š
Shout out to our brilliant side-quest artists for each contributing a character - can you work out whose is whose?
We're so grateful for the time, talent, and sheer enthusiasm that went into this. It really sets the tone for what this bang is all about: collaboration, creative chaos, and a lot of affection for these characters in wildly different professional shoes.
We've got over forty artists, over forty writers, and fifty-one fics heading toward September posting - We can't wait to see what everyone creates!

Heaven and Hell really liked the entire Job business, so they have decided to make more wagers over the millennia. This time, the competition is baking, with Aziraphale and Crowley representing the Up and the Down. Featuring judges Beelzebub, and Gabriel, and special guest, Nicole Byer!

Aziraphale was a university student on his last grueling year of pursuing a joint-honors Bachelors degree in Biology and Theology. His favorite day of the week was Sunday, because on Sunday, he could forget about the lab and leave behind the library to gather with his friends and play a competitive game of triviaā Quiz Bowl.
He liked Quiz Bowl because it was a brain game, it was engaging, and it promoted teamwork. But most of all, he liked Quiz Bowl because he was theĀ bestĀ at it.
Until Crowley, the arrogant bastard with a swagger in his saunter, started showing up.

Rec of the day : Survival is Insufficient Without Love (a series of post-apocalypse vignettes)
Hello !
Today we're talking about Survival is Insufficient Without Love (a series of post-apocalypse vignettes) by Bohoteacher.
This fic take place in a post apocalyptic world after a new disease decimated almost all of humanity. Crowley, now Crow, left the city before things went down and lived for years in the countryside, helping people when he could. He didn't think much aside from surviving for years, but an unexpected meeting might change that.
I always found post apocalypse stories really interesting. Something terrible happened that changed the way the world work forever (or at least a significant amount of time), and people just try to navigate this new reality as best as they can.
This fic follow his idea in a really gentle way. As I said, humanity got decimated and the people left had to find a new way of living. Crowley did just that and is living outside, traveling from place to place with his horse and helping people with his knowledge of plants. It's not a grandiose story about saving humanity or restoring the previous world, in some way, I would even say it is a slice of life story. We follow a few characters as they navigate life, it just happen to take place in a really unexpected context.
But as grim as post apocalyptic world might seems, I like how this fic is hopeful about the future and show the good in people.
I don't have much else to say or I'll be saying too much and can only encourage you to go read it to experience this story by yourself.

It seems rather astonishing to write these words... but we have reached the end.
What began, some months ago, as a tentative exchange of letters, ink on paper, words chosen with care, has unfolded into something more than we ever expected. You have been with us through every page: through missteps, misunderstandings, and moments of courage.
We are, both of us, profoundly aware that stories are not sustained by their writers alone. They are carried, gently & faithfully, by those who read them, who linger over a phrase, who return to reread a letter, who hold space for what is said on paper... and what is not.
If this story has meant something to you, please know that your presence and comments have meant a great deal to us.
And we are so grateful to you...
For reading. For commenting. For believing... in the letters, in gold ink, in sunlight and in true love.

And here are all the logistics:
1. The Ineffable Professionals Bang (IPB) is a collaborative event for Good Omens writers and artists. Writers have spun a roulette wheel to be allocated random professions as prompts for their fics. Artists will get to choose a fic or fics they would like to create art for. Writers and artists become Bang Partners!Ā
2. This is an AU or cannon, Aziraphale, Crowley, or rare pairs Bang. Fics can be any rating, with appropriate AO3 tags and CWs, art can be SFW or NSFW.Ā Minimum: one piece of art. No maximum.
3. This Bang will be run on the IPB Discord Server - you will need to join to participate, and be 18+.
4. Fics and Art will be posted in an Ao3 collection and gallery throughout September 2026.
