Presley raised a brow slightly, looking over at him. "What if your boss doesn't like it?" They questioned, before nodding their head a little bit. "Alright use me as your guinea pig. I am pretty hungry so it better be good." They honestly didn't mind helping especially if that means they got some free food.

"Well that's the point of you being my guinea pig right now... I'm not going to serve him anything he doesn't like." He says. "Plus, I'm confident enough that I can make something good enough for the..." He pauses for a moment. "Not-so-skilled taste pallet."

Jin offered Luka a smile and nodded, immediately reaching for a fork when the dish was marked safe from seafood involvement. “It smells really good,” he said. Jin took a moment to take in the dish for a moment before taking a bite from it. He chewed slowly and set his fork down while he thought about it, which, probably looked more dramatic than he intended it to be. “Hm, is it nutmeg?”

He watched Jin intently as he chewed on the first bite. His eyes linger on him as he tries to read him. "Actually, it's cinnamon," he mentions. "But very good for catching the hint of it." Luka says with a smirk. "What do you think? Think my boss will like it enough to feature on this month's menu?"

Angie tipped her head, a smirk on her face as she curled her fingers back and forth. "Absolutely. Give it here." She took the spoon and wafted the steam under her nose before popping it into her mouth. Silence hung in the air as Angie picked apart flavors. "It's good. Lemon?"

"Actually, it's a hint of lime zest." He tells her with a smile. "Good on you for noticing. Not many people would." He tells her. "There's also a hint of something else... Can you tell what it is?" He asks, eyes watching as she takes in the flavours.

"I am so stealing that cause it gave the dish more flavor. Maybe using sea or pink Himalayan salt to the water or a touch more salt. And maybe try making your own rigatoni, add some fun to it. Other than that it is amazing, Luka." She smiled taking a few more bites.

Luka was so proud of how his meal had turned out and when she complimented it, his smile grew bigger. "I appreciate your honesty. I'll definitely try making my own rigatoni. I just didn't have the proper ingredients today to do it."

"You are quite daring asking me to try a pasta dish I am willing to help, please do not hate me if my response is not what you wanted to hear." Isabella smiled as she savored the first bite of rigatoni which he made. It was actually really good and she only had one suggestion. Maybe two after letting the flavors blend together in her mouth. "Honesty only two changes. I need to know, what is the sauce base first?"

luka watches intently as the woman tastes his dish and he smiles proudly at her reaction. "two? alright.. what are they?" he questions. "the base is garlic and scallions."

Jin watched Luka for a moment before giving a nod. Yes, absolutely would try whatever free food was put in front of him, actually. Anything to get out of cooking for himself. “Hit me with it, big boy.” He said confidently. “Wait, there’s no seafood in it, right, because I might be allergic.” Jin was definitely not allergic to seafood, but he would not eat it – even for free.

a cheeky smile takes over luka's face and he quickly shakes his head at the mention of seafood. "nope, no seafood. it's rigatoni with white bolognese." he tells jin. "something i've been working on perfecting for a while now." his eyes linger on the food in front of them. "i'm curious if you can tell what hidden flavour i used."

"How detailed of a review do you need? As a personal chef I feel I need to be quite critical yet I do not want to damper your hopes." Isabella smirked back at Luka shocked he would ask for her advice.

"critical enough... i need to feed this to my boss and i know he's going to be critical. i want it to be featured on this months menu... so hit me with your hardest critique." he says as he picks up a spoonful of the rigatoni and waits for her to open her mouth for the forkful.

"i came up with this new recipe and i want you to give it a try and let me know what you think. i need to perfect it before i give it to my boss." he nods. Luka Moon grew up fast. With his parents working long hours between the fish market and farmers market, much of the responsibility for raising his younger brother fell onto him. By his early teens, Luka was already cooking meals, helping with schoolwork, and keeping the household together while his parents worked themselves to exhaustion. Cooking started as survival, but quickly became his passion. Using leftover ingredients and whatever produce his parents brought home, Luka taught himself how to experiment with flavours and create meals from almost nothing. Now working as a line chef, he’s known for thriving under pressure and constantly coming up with unique recipes. He dreams of opening a restaurant someday. Something inspired by the markets and meals that shaped his childhood. Luka is polite, hardworking, and deeply ambitious, the kind of person who rarely backs down from responsibility. But years of carrying so much at a young age made him emotionally guarded. He can be selfish when chasing his own goals, impulsive when emotions take over, and distant even with people he cares about. Beneath his calm exterior is someone terrified of failing the people he loves. Especially his younger brother, who has always been the center of his world. He plans to either go back to Korea to visit his younger brother or his goal is to have his family come live with him here in Turtle Bay, one day.
