Hollyberry Cookie: I’ve heard of a place where cookie souls dwell, waiting to be reborn. Perhaps we can find some answers there.

Hollyberry Cookie: … WHAT?
Anyway I freaking love the Dragon Cookies… that update was PEAK
I think it is apparent by now that Hollyberry Cookie is Cookie Odysseus. (Spoilers for Crispia, Beast-Yeast, and Timeline of Fate)
So, story time! Last year in May, when they did the Eternal Sugar Cookie update, I saw all those memes using “Love in Paradise” where Hollyberry Cookie was Odysseus and Eternal Sugar Cookie was Calypso. That ended up with me going down a rabbit hole where I listened to the entirety of Epic the Musical on repeat. And after a while, I kept thinking “Wow, a lot of the songs in Epic the Musical fit Hollyberry Cookie really well, actually, that’s weird…” And then it occurred to me.
The Grandberry Market and Hollyberry Palace episodes of Crispia are a significantly less violent version of Odysseus’ return to Ithaca. Mostly the whole “competition to see who can rule” part of it. I’ll do a quick recap/summary of it.
So the story starts out with Pitaya Dragon getting impatient waiting for Hollyberry Cookie, and Jungleberry Cookie promising to find a warrior that can fight them, and later on holding the “Princess Contest”. Princess Cookie herself is just coming back from her escapades in the Tropical Soda islands when, lo and behold, she and Knight cookie get attacked from a Cookievorous, only to be rescued by a Hollyberry Cookie in disguise.
Princess Cookie goes through the competition with a bunch of other competitors, including Raspberry Cookie, until a cookie literally called “Shady Noble” rage-baits a drunk Pitaya Dragon (I assume they were drunk they had A LOT of juice.) into a rampage, where Hollyberry Cookie essentially takes her disguise off and reveals that not only is she back, but she really is the only one worthy enough to wield the Shield Of Passion.
A similar thing happens in Ithaca in the Odyssey. Telemachus, Odysseus’ son, had left to find his father. His title as heir to the throne is being challenged by a very loud and rude threat; Penelope’s suitors, who had decided to kill Telemachus for daring to find his father.
Odysseus returns in disguise, and helps out his son. After meeting disguised Odysseus herself, unaware that was her husband, Penelope decides then to make a challenge where whichever suitor is able to restring Odysseus’ bow (that was previously owned by Heracles, fun fact), will take the throne. Odysseus strings his bow and with his son’s help kills all the suitors while Athena does him a solid and also one of the first Deus Ex Machina’s in literature by appeasing the angry Ithacans whose family he just killed.
In the Red Dragon Story, Pitaya’s response to seeing the Dragon’s Valley was that “It’s been ssso long.” And it’s been confirmed that it had been waiting for Hollyberry Cookie to return, even though she left “eons ago” according to Jungleberry Cookie. So we could argue that Pitaya Dragon might have waited about 18-20 years for Hollyberry to fight them again.
In the Odyssey, Telemachus was an infant when Odysseus was made to embark on the Trojan War (fuck Agamemnon), and only returned 20 years later, where a determined and loyal Penelope waited for him even though everyone else believed he died.
So in both cases, we have:
- A Hero who had left for a decade or two and returned to their kingdom in disguise: Hollyberry/Odysseus
- A young relative and heir to a kingdom’s throne who was an infant when the hero left and is an adult who is similar to the hero when they return: Princess Cookie/Telemachus
- An imminent threat to the throne that needs to be dealt with by the hero for the safety of their family: Pitaya/the suitors.
- A faithful partner/ally from a warrior culture who has been waiting with determination for a decade or two while wholly believing that not only does no one else compare to the hero, but that the hero is still alive: Also Pitaya/Penelope
- A contest that is being held involving a specific legendary weapon that ONLY the hero could use in order to actually sustain the throne/the heir’s claim to it: Hollyberry’s Shield/Odysseus’ bow.
The other princesses also fit the role of the suitors in the capacity that they are fighting for the throne, and Jungleberry cookie also serves as part of Penelope’s character as she is the one who held the Princess contest.
At this point I still need to finish the “Golden Dragon’s Domain” but I’ve already seen the spoilers/screenshots that are showing that Hollyberry Cookie is going to travel to the underworld with the need for answers and the goal of properly reuniting with Pitaya Dragon Cookie. (I’ll reblog with my reaction properly to the chapter but still).
And here is where I pose a theory of mine. Not only is Hollyberry Cookie Odysseus… but she’s going through the Odyssey in reverse. Because so far we have (in Epic the Musical terms)
- The Ithaca Saga - Hollyberry’s return to her kingdom.
- The Calypso Part of the Wisdom Saga- Hollyberry’s confrontation with Eternal Sugar Cookie
And now we’re getting
- The Underworld Saga - Hollyberry going down to the underworld herself to get some answers.
I have a feeling that when we get to Lotus Dragon, we’re going to be seeing them pull some serious Circe shit before Hollyberry Cookie helps them and convinces them to help her save Pitaya Dragon. They’d have every reason to do so.
It’s probable from their perspective that Hollyberry cookie would be showing up out of fucking nowhere, with a clear connection to a different dragon (either through her armor or her making a lantern wish to save Pitaya like a goofball). That alone would be questionable if not concerning to Lotus Dragon, but on top of that she has a baby flower dragon beside her. It wouldn’t surprise me if their first course of action was to trick Hollyberry Cookie or something along those lines to separate her from Snapdragon and raise them for themselves. Cunning and Magic are both things Lotus Dragon and Circe have in common, after all.
All this to say that if I had a nickel for every time a gatcha game from Korea decided to make Odysseus a sapphic badass I’d have two nickels, but it’s AMAZING that it’s happened twice.

Pitaya Dragon is the White Lily Cookie/Silent Salt Cookie of the Dragons.
Seriously, there is so much that it has in common with those two that makes me think that mayyyybe Pitaya Dragon is going to be playing a larger part in Act 2. (And totally not me coping because our poor dragon got damseled to hell at the moment and they’re my favorite character in the whole series).
The largest part that they have in common with White Lily and Silent Salt is their love for cookies. They’ve always loved cookies, ever since they were baked. Longan Dragon summoned the other dragons to discuss them and even though Longan called them “scurrying little vermin”, Pitaya Dragon’s response was one of immediate joy and gushing about how the cookies were making paintings of it. They immediately wanted cookies to fight them and by now it’s been established that fighting is its love language.
The constant way they interfere in cookies’ lives also shows this. At one point I think it’s been stated that Pitaya Dragon would even disguise themself as a cookie to sneak into the Mala tribe just to have some of their food. Or just… the way that its face is seemingly plastered everywhere in the Hollyberry kingdom which uhh… Pitaya Dragon could have put a stop to that at any point. They just choose not to.
Solidarity in general seems to be a big theme with Pitaya Dragon anyway, not necessarily in the “We’re all in this together!” kind of way, moreso in an “We’re all on level ground” kind of way. In Ovenbreak when it came to the other dragon tribes, they didn’t really seem to think of it in a loyalty kind of aspect. It cared more about, well, something along the lines of “honor” than whether or not the other dragons were kin, “I’m not going to ssstand with cowardss regardless of who’s on whose ssside!”
Going a bit deeper, freedom is also a very important theme with Pitaya Dragon. Not just with the fact that their biggest fear is losing said freedom, but the lengths that they would go to achieve it. “If Lotus chooses to live in Lotus Paradise, why can’t I choose a place of my own!?” -They’ve never actually felt “free” around Longan, which is why it always chooses to fight and prove that they’re strong. If they’re strong, they can be free.
It also explains the way that they themself decided to go about parenting Snapdragon. Rather than berating or telling them to be better, be a stronger dragon or anything else that they may have felt with it’s previous tribe, they encourage Snapdragon to make their own choices, to explore and play with cookie and come up with “bold ideas”. That desire of freedom is another thing they have in common with White Lily Cookie and Silent Salt Cookie.
I honestly think that, besides the stories, that Pitaya also made the deal with White Lily Cookie that they did because they were able to see in her eyes what they felt: that need to grow and that sense of determination to risk everything to get the freedom that she wanted for cookiekind. That kind of attitude was always what earned someone respect from them.
Getting specifically into similarities with Pitaya Dragon Cookie and White Lily Cookie, the most apparent one is that they share the same color pallete of red, white, and green. Though green is the most dominant color in White Lily and red is Pitaya’s most dominant color. The fact that their “Chaos Dragon” form emphasizes green far more heavily is also very interesting I must say. Especially with White Lily going from mostly green and then Dark Enchantress going mostly red, and now we have Pitaya being mostly red with the “Chaos Dragon” being mostly green… it’s very interesting indeed.
They both are also related to Dark Enchantress cookie. Not just story-wise but also design wise. I’m not sure how pre-planned the “White Lily was Dark Enchantress the whole time” plot was but they are still connected by the fact that they have red eyes and wield a staff for their primary weapon.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie’s concept art initially had it to where they were going to straight up be a Cookie of Darkness.
As an extra note, both Dark Enchantress Cookie and Pitaya Dragon Cookie have a connection to the time of Twilight specifically. Dark Enchantress with her whole anniversary live stream and Pitaya Dragon……
There is also, in the real world, something fascinating about the Dragonfruit plant that is strangely applicable to White Lily Cookie in general. Like its relative the Orchid Cactus, the bloom of a Dragonfruit flower only blooms during the night and wilts when the sun rises, which gives it quite a few nicknames. The “Cinderella Plant”, the “Queen Of the Night” (which it shares with the Orchid Cactus) and also, strangely enough, “Moonflower” (not to be confused with actual Moonflowers) which is interesting since White Lily is the “Moonflower Fairy” (since she canonically wears that costume at least once in the story).
Finally, a large similarity that I can see between Pitaya Dragon and White Lily Cookie is that they are both prime examples for why Wisdom and Intelligence are separate stats in RPGs. They’re both incredibly smart (Pitaya immediately picked up what Lychee was saying about Longan’s mind control, and has a tendency to hold its cards close to their chest.) However, neither of them are particularly wise or think their actions through.
In fact their solution to problem solving is exactly the same. “Hey, you probably shouldn’t do this thing-“ “I’m going to do it anyway BOOM/BLOOM!” … most of it boils down to the fact that both characters are impulsive as shit and throw caution to the wind. And as Pitaya’s affection jelly states in Ovenbreak “Curiosity often leads to Calamity”
Pitaya Dragon and Silent Salt Cookie had never met (though that could change), but they also have a lot in common specifically. Right off the bat they are both designed to look like knights with their armor and sword look, but deeper than that there are other things.
They both have a code, for example, and stick to said code fairly rigidly. Pitaya’s code is mostly along the lines of “never give up!” They’ll keep getting up over and over again until they physically can’t fight anymore, and they will engage with other beings, ANY beings that fight in a similar manner. To quote Hollyberry Cookie, “If you fall, pick yourself back up again.” Silent Salt Cookie’s code is (or was) “Embrace the Downtrodden, Remember the tormented.” But later on that code did shift to mostly just punishing wrongdoers.
Both of them also have something else in common that isn’t talked about nearly enough with Pitaya Dragon in particular, but that is that they had a group of cookies that they cherished, they left to do something, and when they returned that group was gone/dead. Pitaya says it as the Stock Tribe “disappearing” but Flat Tofu says specifically that Pitaya did not intervene in the tribe’s last moments. Both of those statements combined imply that in the Stock Tribe’s last moments Pitaya Dragon was just absent, which… Mirrors a lot with what happened with Silent Salt and the Knights of Kala Namak.
Pitaya Dragon, White Lily Cookie, and Silent Salt all have another major theme in common: Betrayal. Specifically they all in some capacity seemingly betrayed their respective groups, whether that was intentional or not. White Lily betrayed hers with well… everything involving Dark Enchantress. It was untintentional and not her fault, she could not really control being re-baked, but that is still how it was perceived. Silent Salt betrayed his group by sealing them all, and himself, in the Silver Tree. An understandable act of retribution, but a betrayal nonetheless.
How did Pitaya Dragon betray the other dragons, you might ask? Well… initially I would have said them teaching White Lily Cookie Dragontounge would have been the betrayal, but this last chapter showed that Ananas taught the whole Mango tribe an entire song in it so it isn’t that. There is a specific moment that would qualify for sure though… at least in Longan Dragon’s eyes.
The moment I’m talking about is when Pitaya Dragon was about to make a deal with Hollyberry Cookie in its throne. With the White Lily situation, it would have been easy for Longan to write it off as a foolish, impulsive decision like the ones that Pitaya Dragon is prone to do. But when they were making their promise to Hollyberry Cookie? That was much more thought out.
In the Dragon City when they were all at the Tavern, there was a moment where Pitaya Dragon was lost in thought, especially about that meeting dealing with the False Red Dragon that Dark Enchantress said. And as they told Hollyberry Cookie later, it was never their intention to deceive Hollyberry Cookie by hiding that she may need to crush her Soul Jam. In fact, it seems as though it was going to tell her in private at the tavern, but they got interrupted before they could.
At any point between the Tavern scene and the False Dragon’s attack, Pitaya Dragon could have crushed Hollyberry Cookie’s Soul Jam when she was asleep. But they didn’t, because among other things, it likes when things are fair and they wanted to make sure that it gave Hollyberry Cookie a choice. They value freedom and agency, after all.
What Pitaya Dragon does instead though is let Hollyberry Cookie know what was up, and then offered, without prompting, to use their powers to help fight against Dark Enchantress Cookie, before immediately expanding on that to them using their powers to protect the cookie world, to make a promise in Dragontongue to do so-
“When I regain my ssstrengh, I will protect the Cookie World you hold ssso dear from Dark Enchantress Cookie. I promise you, in Dragontongue which I am unable to disssobey, that if you ussse your Sssoul Jam to help me now… I will ressscue your friends and ussse all of my ssstrengh in the war against Dark Enchantress Cookie. In exchange for the power of your Sssoul Jam, I will protect the Cookie World with my dragon powersss.”
Longan Dragon is an (allegedly) all-knowing dragon. They would have seen this play out. And they are very much like a Sith in the way that they deal in absolutes. In Ovenbreak, when Pitaya Dragon and Ananas Dragon proclaimed in cookie language that they would work with and live alongside cookiekind, Longan Dragon proclaimed that they were no longer dragons to them and that they would kill them both right alongside cookies, viewing their actions in that moment as a betrayal.
That moment with Hollyberry Cookie, even though no dragontongue was actually spoken, would absolutely be considered a betrayal to Longan Dragon. Because Pitaya Dragon genuinely thought over this decision and decided that if Hollyberry Cookie was genuinely willing to risk everything that she was to help protect the ones she loved , they would offer to do the same.
They would possibly be willing to fight the other dragons, with a lifelong oath they could not break, if it meant protecting the Cookie world that Hollyberry Cookie held dear. Pitaya Dragon, in that moment, decided that a worthy trade for keeping its powers would essentially be to serve cookiekind. To Longan Dragon, that would be blasphemy of the highest kind, if not straight up treason. It would cut the same kind of wound that White Lily and Silent Salt Cookies’ respective betrayals did. And them being the leader of the Dragons means Pitaya may end up pitted against the other three dragons as well.
If not that, then the “Chaos Dragon” opening the Ultimate Oven and accidentally sicking the corrupted guardians of nature on them would definitely count as a betrayal, albeit one that they literally had no say over because it’s being mind controlled. Though with guilt being a massive theme with White Lily Cookie and Silent Salt Cookie, I could also see Devsis using that angle with Pitaya Dragon as well.
The Ultimate Oven, as well as their involvement with the creation of the Dough Cookies, is the last talking point that I have with what Pitaya Dragon has in common with White Lily and Silent Salt Cookie. That last thing mainly being the fact that Pitaya officially has the strongest connection to the witches/baking magic out of all the dragons, the same way that White Lily Cookie and Silent Salt Coomie have the strongest connection to witches/baking magic in their respective groups.
All of this is to say that I’m really looking forward to the future updates, and I hope that we actually get to see more in depth into Pitaya Dragon’s character in the future. They’re certainly one with a lot of potential, especially in Kingdom, and even though Longan Dragon says that “simplicity is a double-edged sword” in regards to Pitaya Dragon Cookie, I feel like they are genuinely as complex as White Lily Cookie and Silent Salt Cookie.

Ok adding onto my initial “I think Lychee is going to have to face off against Dread Trident Sea Fairy.” Idea I’ve had, there’s something else that just dawned on me. Sea Fairy Cookie’s Corrupted Costume in Ovenbreak is fully called “Dread Trident of the Abyss”
… Lychee’s legendary costume they got last year is called “Enchanting Abyssal Gem.”
If both of their legendary costumes have the name Abyss in them I wonder if that was possible foreshadowing on Devsis’ part?

Going a bit deeper, freedom is also a very important theme with Pitaya Dragon. Not just with the fact that their biggest fear is losing said freedom, but the lengths that they would go to achieve it. “If Lotus chooses to live in Lotus Paradise, why can’t I choose a place of my own!?” -They’ve never actually felt “free” around Longan, which is why it always chooses to fight and prove that they’re strong. If they’re strong, they can be free.
It also explains the way that they themself decided to go about parenting Snapdragon. Rather than berating or telling them to be better, be a stronger dragon or anything else that they may have felt with it’s previous tribe, they encourage Snapdragon to make their own choices, to explore and play with cookie and come up with “bold ideas”. That desire of freedom is another thing they have in common with White Lily Cookie and Silent Salt Cookie.
I honestly think that, besides the stories, that Pitaya also made the deal with White Lily Cookie that they did because they were able to see in her eyes what they felt: that need to grow and that sense of determination to risk everything to get the freedom that she wanted for cookiekind. That kind of attitude was always what earned someone respect from them.
Getting specifically into similarities with Pitaya Dragon Cookie and White Lily Cookie, the most apparent one is that they share the same color pallete of red, white, and green. Though green is the most dominant color in White Lily and red is Pitaya’s most dominant color. The fact that their “Chaos Dragon” form emphasizes green far more heavily is also very interesting I must say. Especially with White Lily going from mostly green and then Dark Enchantress going mostly red, and now we have Pitaya being mostly red with the “Chaos Dragon” being mostly green… it’s very interesting indeed.
They both are also related to Dark Enchantress cookie. Not just story-wise but also design wise. I’m not sure how pre-planned the “White Lily was Dark Enchantress the whole time” plot was but they are still connected by the fact that they have red eyes and wield a staff for their primary weapon.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie’s concept art initially had it to where they were going to straight up be a Cookie of Darkness.
As an extra note, both Dark Enchantress Cookie and Pitaya Dragon Cookie have a connection to the time of Twilight specifically. Dark Enchantress with her whole anniversary live stream and Pitaya Dragon……
There is also, in the real world, something fascinating about the Dragonfruit plant that is strangely applicable to White Lily Cookie in general. Like its relative the Orchid Cactus, the bloom of a Dragonfruit flower only blooms during the night and wilts when the sun rises, which gives it quite a few nicknames. The “Cinderella Plant”, the “Queen Of the Night” (which it shares with the Orchid Cactus) and also, strangely enough, “Moonflower” (not to be confused with actual Moonflowers) which is interesting since White Lily is the “Moonflower Fairy” (since she canonically wears that costume at least once in the story).
Finally, a large similarity that I can see between Pitaya Dragon and White Lily Cookie is that they are both prime examples for why Wisdom and Intelligence are separate stats in RPGs. They’re both incredibly smart (Pitaya immediately picked up what Lychee was saying about Longan’s mind control, and has a tendency to hold its cards close to their chest.) However, neither of them are particularly wise or think their actions through.
In fact their solution to problem solving is exactly the same. “Hey, you probably shouldn’t do this thing-“ “I’m going to do it anyway BOOM/BLOOM!” … most of it boils down to the fact that both characters are impulsive as shit and throw caution to the wind. And as Pitaya’s affection jelly states in Ovenbreak “Curiosity often leads to Calamity”
Pitaya Dragon and Silent Salt Cookie had never met (though that could change), but they also have a lot in common specifically. Right off the bat they are both designed to look like knights with their armor and sword look, but deeper than that there are other things.
They both have a code, for example, and stick to said code fairly rigidly. Pitaya’s code is mostly along the lines of “never give up!” They’ll keep getting up over and over again until they physically can’t fight anymore, and they will engage with other beings, ANY beings that fight in a similar manner. To quote Hollyberry Cookie, “If you fall, pick yourself back up again.” Silent Salt Cookie’s code is (or was) “Embrace the Downtrodden, Remember the tormented.” But later on that code did shift to mostly just punishing wrongdoers.
Both of them also have something else in common that isn’t talked about nearly enough with Pitaya Dragon in particular, but that is that they had a group of cookies that they cherished, they left to do something, and when they returned that group was gone/dead. Pitaya says it as the Stock Tribe “disappearing” but Flat Tofu says specifically that Pitaya did not intervene in the tribe’s last moments. Both of those statements combined imply that in the Stock Tribe’s last moments Pitaya Dragon was just absent, which… Mirrors a lot with what happened with Silent Salt and the Knights of Kala Namak.
Pitaya Dragon, White Lily Cookie, and Silent Salt all have another major theme in common: Betrayal. Specifically they all in some capacity seemingly betrayed their respective groups, whether that was intentional or not. White Lily betrayed hers with well… everything involving Dark Enchantress. It was untintentional and not her fault, she could not really control being re-baked, but that is still how it was perceived. Silent Salt betrayed his group by sealing them all, and himself, in the Silver Tree. An understandable act of retribution, but a betrayal nonetheless.
How did Pitaya Dragon betray the other dragons, you might ask? Well… initially I would have said them teaching White Lily Cookie Dragontounge would have been the betrayal, but this last chapter showed that Ananas taught the whole Mango tribe an entire song in it so it isn’t that. There is a specific moment that would qualify for sure though… at least in Longan Dragon’s eyes.
The moment I’m talking about is when Pitaya Dragon was about to make a deal with Hollyberry Cookie in its throne. With the White Lily situation, it would have been easy for Longan to write it off as a foolish, impulsive decision like the ones that Pitaya Dragon is prone to do. But when they were making their promise to Hollyberry Cookie? That was much more thought out.
In the Dragon City when they were all at the Tavern, there was a moment where Pitaya Dragon was lost in thought, especially about that meeting dealing with the False Red Dragon that Dark Enchantress said. And as they told Hollyberry Cookie later, it was never their intention to deceive Hollyberry Cookie by hiding that she may need to crush her Soul Jam. In fact, it seems as though it was going to tell her in private at the tavern, but they got interrupted before they could.
At any point between the Tavern scene and the False Dragon’s attack, Pitaya Dragon could have crushed Hollyberry Cookie’s Soul Jam when she was asleep. But they didn’t, because among other things, it likes when things are fair and they wanted to make sure that it gave Hollyberry Cookie a choice. They value freedom and agency, after all.
What Pitaya Dragon does instead though is let Hollyberry Cookie know what was up, and then offered, without prompting, to use their powers to help fight against Dark Enchantress Cookie, before immediately expanding on that to them using their powers to protect the cookie world, to make a promise in Dragontongue to do so-
“When I regain my ssstrengh, I will protect the Cookie World you hold ssso dear from Dark Enchantress Cookie. I promise you, in Dragontongue which I am unable to disssobey, that if you ussse your Sssoul Jam to help me now… I will ressscue your friends and ussse all of my ssstrengh in the war against Dark Enchantress Cookie. In exchange for the power of your Sssoul Jam, I will protect the Cookie World with my dragon powersss.”
Longan Dragon is an (allegedly) all-knowing dragon. They would have seen this play out. And they are very much like a Sith in the way that they deal in absolutes. In Ovenbreak, when Pitaya Dragon and Ananas Dragon proclaimed in cookie language that they would work with and live alongside cookiekind, Longan Dragon proclaimed that they were no longer dragons to them and that they would kill them both right alongside cookies, viewing their actions in that moment as a betrayal.
That moment with Hollyberry Cookie, even though no dragontongue was actually spoken, would absolutely be considered a betrayal to Longan Dragon. Because Pitaya Dragon genuinely thought over this decision and decided that if Hollyberry Cookie was genuinely willing to risk everything that she was to help protect the ones she loved , they would offer to do the same.
They would possibly be willing to fight the other dragons, with a lifelong oath they could not break, if it meant protecting the Cookie world that Hollyberry Cookie held dear. Pitaya Dragon, in that moment, decided that a worthy trade for keeping its powers would essentially be to serve cookiekind. To Longan Dragon, that would be blasphemy of the highest kind, if not straight up treason. It would cut the same kind of wound that White Lily and Silent Salt Cookies’ respective betrayals did. And them being the leader of the Dragons means Pitaya may end up pitted against the other three dragons as well.
If not that, then the “Chaos Dragon” opening the Ultimate Oven and accidentally sicking the corrupted guardians of nature on them would definitely count as a betrayal, albeit one that they literally had no say over because it’s being mind controlled. Though with guilt being a massive theme with White Lily Cookie and Silent Salt Cookie, I could also see Devsis using that angle with Pitaya Dragon as well.
The Ultimate Oven, as well as their involvement with the creation of the Dough Cookies, is the last talking point that I have with what Pitaya Dragon has in common with White Lily and Silent Salt Cookie. That last thing mainly being the fact that Pitaya officially has the strongest connection to the witches/baking magic out of all the dragons, the same way that White Lily Cookie and Silent Salt Coomie have the strongest connection to witches/baking magic in their respective groups.
All of this is to say that I’m really looking forward to the future updates, and I hope that we actually get to see more in depth into Pitaya Dragon’s character in the future. They’re certainly one with a lot of potential, especially in Kingdom, and even though Longan Dragon says that “simplicity is a double-edged sword” in regards to Pitaya Dragon Cookie, I feel like they are genuinely as complex as White Lily Cookie and Silent Salt Cookie.

Seriously, there is so much that it has in common with those two that makes me think that mayyyybe Pitaya Dragon is going to be playing a larger part in Act 2. (And totally not me coping because our poor dragon got damseled to hell at the moment and they’re my favorite character in the whole series).
The largest part that they have in common with White Lily and Silent Salt is their love for cookies. They’ve always loved cookies, ever since they were baked. Longan Dragon summoned the other dragons to discuss them and even though Longan called them “scurrying little vermin”, Pitaya Dragon’s response was one of immediate joy and gushing about how the cookies were making paintings of it. They immediately wanted cookies to fight them and by now it’s been established that fighting is its love language.
The constant way they interfere in cookies’ lives also shows this. At one point I think it’s been stated that Pitaya Dragon would even disguise themself as a cookie to sneak into the Mala tribe just to have some of their food. Or just… the way that its face is seemingly plastered everywhere in the Hollyberry kingdom which uhh… Pitaya Dragon could have put a stop to that at any point. They just choose not to.
Solidarity in general seems to be a big theme with Pitaya Dragon anyway, not necessarily in the “We’re all in this together!” kind of way, moreso in an “We’re all on level ground” kind of way. In Ovenbreak when it came to the other dragon tribes, they didn’t really seem to think of it in a loyalty kind of aspect. Would they be annoyed? Would they be asking if Pitaya lost all of its pride by tolerating all of this?
