Reminder that the NYT is trash and complicit in the genocide of Palestinians
Velocitronian things in Transformers: Mercy (I'm excited to share them ahead of the final chapter releases for the fourth storyline)
Velocitronians introduce something like electric guitar music to Cybertron. Override is a player of the instrument called a "key-chord" but colloquially a "screecher". Velocitronians find it exciting and it motivates them to race, so it is favoured before racing events.
Velocitronian ice cream "Ice-En" and their delight in cold energon meets Cybertron, so now we have flavoured Ice-En made from all the strange fruits of Cybertron. Featured example: bananoid.
Velocitron has a flag which they like to put on folding fans to wave for fun (the flag is the Speed Planet Cyberkey from Transformers: Cybertron). The question arises if Cybertron has a flag. It turns out it used to (and should be used again to unite this world!).
Velocitronians don't just race, they also have games such as stamp-tag where you chase after each other and try to stamp each other with paint.
Velocitron has a mythical figure called "The Road Reaper" (I made this up) which is an entity that punishes those who don't respect the roads or its racers. A symbol of good sportsbotship and justice. The Road Reaper is described as either a black vehicle with no headlights or headlights with no body. In the Aligned Continuity, there is no name given to the factions that form on Velocitron under Override and Ransack. I have chosen names: The Riders (racers who followed Override) and the Reapers (racers who followed Ransack and put on black markings). Not every Velocitronian believes in the Road Reaper, but Ransack does. When that playful two-wheeler is pushed, he becomes just like that mythical figure, exacting justice by delivering death. So for a time he had embraced the name "The Reaper".
A moment from the last session. Wael (my friend's character) and Malithra. Running away from danger=)
so this knight came to my wizard's tower one day and asked me to cast a spell that would allow him to take his beloved princess' hand in marriage. pretty typical this kind of wish, and i had just the spell. a combo of "turn person into a royal" and "transform appearance to match romantic ideal", easy. he paid handsomely for it too, so how can i says no?
turns out his princess is a lesbian and nobody knew, so when i cast the spell it made him into a beautiful princess. she asked for a refund right away and begged me (cryin', held me at swordpoint) to turn her back, but i says to her, i says, "The die has already been cast, and your fate is now sealed!" which is my way of sayin' "no refunds".
turns out, bein' a princess weren't so bad for her and she was able to take her sweet and beloved princess' hand in marriage. seems like everything worked out.
but then, surprise of my life, they both show up to my tower and my spell was undone. some dark sorcerer shithead (some kinda sketchy royal adviser who wanted to usurp the throne, a million like 'im) had removed my enchantments and turned our princess back into a knight. but she didn't want to be a man no more and asked me to redo the spell. gladly i changed her back in exchange for fuckin' up this sorcerer shmuck, (could be a threat to my business, you see) gave 'er an enchanted sword an everything. to my shock, the other princess takes the sword and vows to get this guy for me.
now i got all this guy's magic shit and good graces for life with the queens of the land, plus the best advertisement money can't buy. "yes, i am in fact That wizard from the story of the princess knight!" classic.
anyway, all that to say, no i ain't changin' yous back. you'll be mommy's pretty little maid and you'll like it.
I gotta say I really like your approach to making a post apocalyptic sci fi world because it feels a lot homier than typical sci fi, post apocalyptic and not. I’ve neverrrrr liked the aesthetics or tropes of sci fi, the lack of nature and the need to stay in an enclosed space all the time just makes it very unappealing to me. But you’ve designed ITV to be a lot cozier and humble than i expected, I like that you say everything is pre industrial aside from certain things like ships. The fact that everyone needs to be a craftsperson oddly enough feels closer to nature? Idk if that makes sense, I think I just enjoy seeing humans do handmade crafts in sci fi cuz I don’t expect it. I guess you’ve just designed the world to be comfy by human senses, and succeeded so far
It would have to be comfy and cozy to live in, because otherwise they wouldn't be surviving at all. It's like the Enterprise, it has to be a comfortable ship to live in. Even in a situation where luxuries are scarce and resources have to be carefully managed, a basic level of comfort is necessary to not feel like everything is hopeless.
Especially since it's been 150 years. They've had time to adjust. This isn't 5 years after the Collapse where everyone's still trying to make their station liveable.
One thing I don't like about a lot of post-apocalypse stories, Fallout in particular, is that 200 years after the bombs dropped humanity is still digging through the rubble and living in ruins and shacks, salvaging old shit to get buy. They don't build anything themselves unless you're in the Brotherhood of Steel.
As I've built on the concept, I decided Into the Void had to be flourishing to an extent. Resource scarcity doesn't have to instantly mean everyone's killing each other for scraps, people are smart enough to know that will just doom them faster.
Sure, I'm a "teeaboo" but Gaza is rubble so who really won here? 🤣🤣🤣
All that whining about the importance of public broadcasting and protecting it from fascists and you laugh at genocide.
Can't write parody this succinct.
I think people are more important than your sci fi potterhead slop.
Sorry you're a bad person and nobody will miss you when you're dead. With any luck that'll be sooner than later.
WHAT KIND OF AD IS THIS???
Personally? I would never deny Hiromu Arakawa her right to a short bratty braided blond character in a kickass red coat
Invent a look this iconic and I think you should get to use it in every series.
If I'm elected as your president in 2028 I promise to bring back the Western Interior Seaway.
North America peaked with this design and every change since has been worse.
NONONONO NO. NO. DO YOU WANT ANY OF THIS FUCKING SHIT BACK?
Pretty babies come swim in w ater with big fish water is fine with big fish in come taste interior seaway with big fish
To be clear: This is Hbomberguy, a very well known content creator with a very large fanbase turning to the camera and saying "Kiwifarms is right" with regards to a disabled, traumatized trans woman he personally underpaid for her work in the past. He didn't actually quote anything she actually said, he quoted the regurgitated and vague idea of what Kiwifarms says she might have said.
gameoverse seems fun enough. but the cynical feminist in me can't help herself. all the male characters are like, cartoon blobs, which is contrasted strongly by the two major female characters in this pilot, both of whom are hour-glass shaped humanoid women who spend most of their screentime in swimsuits. and like that's not an outright dealbreaker but i *am* staring into the camera with my eyebrows raised.
idk i'm getting really tired of this "connecticut clark and malfina" type shit where male characters get to be Silly Abstract Little Guys but women have to be women shaped. it's this male-as-default thing that i hate where you don't need to add anything to a character design to imply male-ness but the woman better have wide hips and booba or else yknow like idk it's not outright Offensive but it is tiring
how it feels seeing a woman depicted in any media
do u think a scene girl and a y2k girl can fall in love
settling into something casual 💋💋
