Writing tips:
āYou feel the bulge in his pantsā - implies that you are feeling some guyās penis, may be sexy depending on context
āYou feel the bugle in his pantsā - implies that this guy has a military horn in his pants, invites confusing questions like why does he have that and how big are his pockets
Both options convey that he's horny

i do think there should be more stories and shows and stuff about guys falling in love with butch women actually, i think thatād be a good thing. and not āthis is as butch as twitter can handleā, i mean butch as can fucking be without apology, and making those boys weak in the knees about it. i think itās great actually to have f/m romances that exist to break gender norms, too. i think it sucks that the only mainstream het romances that exist are either about women who are already feminine or with women who are just a little too scarily masculine and have to be fixed into being girlier. thatās shit.
itās not like. taking away from queer people if you let āthe straightsā have some genderfuckery in their romance, too. thatās good, actually, the blurring of gender roles and performance and getting better understandings of your own sexuality is good for everyone. and itās really fucking weird if you think that mainstream āhetā romances shouldnāt feature women who are ātoo masculineā because thatās only allowed for queer people, somehow.
The solution to any love triangle is always either polyamory or aromanticism. Both if you're brave enough. I don't make the rules.

I feel like a lot of people get "All Art is Political" confused with "All Art is made with Political Intentions" which is not the same.
People are unfazed if you hate women but if you dislike dogs they assume you're a bad person
Tumblr users will read a post complaining about normalized misogyny and hyperfocus on your claim that it's ok to dislike dogs
the change from AD to CE feels really emblematic of how surface-level and meaningless the supposed secularization of the western world is
Common Era is definitely preferable over Anno Domini, if only because christ is no lord of mine, but itās only less christianocentric in that it doesnāt overtly make reference to christ in its title. the benchmark is still the same. youāre still measuring when the common era began using the (supposed) birth of christ, separating history into āthe period before jesusā and āthe period after jesusā. this conception of history is no less defined by christianity than it was before, except that now itās easier to ignore because youāve draped it in a āsecularā, āmodernā veneer and done nothing to actually unpack the ways in which western society intrinsically centers christianity.

When you get more objective about the way nature is & away from weird anthropomorphic carnivore slander it is a little funny when the baby sea turtles hatch and every other animal in like a ten mile radius goes "oh fuck yum one million mini sliders"
[ID: a screenshot of the original post's tags that read, "#real turtleheads know this is a play on sliders (turtle emoji) which are a type of terrestrial turtle. but it's also tiny hamburgers #which seems apt. #this has been another episode of Joke Explainer" /end ID]
Keeping these actually. Necessary footnote for this post
Watching a jaguar casually walk up to an adult sea turtle headed back to the water after laying her eggs and eat it like why am I in my sea turtle violence era and why are they like this. Adult sea turtles aren't especially easy to eat in the water they'll swim around with shark bites taken out of them like they're just chillin. And then on land they just kinda
Jaguar watching a sea turtle on the beach: oh fuck yum 100 pound slider
Also today I learned that since the jaguar scares off other smaller predators it's actually good for the sea turtle population if there are jaguars there. Cause less babies get eaten by Everything Else. I'm gonna be honest I didn't even consider that a jaguar could be on the beach
Every other animal in like a ten mile radius: I'm gonna be honest I didn't even consider that a jaguar could be on the beach

honestly "oracle that nobody believes" is such a solid trope. imagine trying to convince anybody in 2006 what the next two decades was gonna look like
