Note: im going to keep on switching pov between Phoenix and oliver.
Itâs six in the morning and its Saturday so the classe starts at nine. We use this free period to practice for the next quidditch tournament. Ever since Professor McGonagall introduced me to Harry and ask him to be on the team, I was thrilled. The boy is a natural, and when I hear that his father was one of the best seeker in Hogwarts I couldnât be more happier. It gives me hope that Gryffindor will win the cup this year. Though, im still a bit scared that those Slytherins will beat us again. Because I know that Phoenix, the captain of the Slytherinâs team will literally do anything to win.
âWhatâs wrong with you Ollie? youâve been starring at that window for like decadesâ said one of my teammate Fred.
Iâm not even surprised anymore. They had done this since their first year in Hogwarts which lead me to the conclusion that the twins could popped out of thin air and disappear like they were never there.
âSince when youâre here?â I ask him calmly.
âDecades agoâ said Fred in a âduhâ tone. I just rolled my eyes at him and get ready for the practice.
I put on my robes and head downstairs, to the common room and wait for the others to come. When everybodyâs present. We quickly head to the broom closet to get our brooms and walk to the field.
âPlanning on doing something this morning?â a VERY familiar voice ask me.
When we arrived at the field I was greeted by a swarm of green and my mood immediately drops.
âWe already told professor McGonagall that we will use the quidditch pitch for practice this morning Blackâ I said facing her without showing any emotion.
âAnd we already told professor Snape, he gave me this letter for you to give to McGonagallâ she handed me a letter from Snape, like always. I donât even have to read it anymore because I already know what it meant.
âNoâ I said unfazed. âIts our chance to practise, your team have had enough practiseâ I told her with a straight face.
âThere is never enough practiseâ She said with a piercing stormy eyes. âWe are nearing the tournament, and we need to practiseâ
âSo do we!â at that time I really couldnât hold my anger anymore. She has stepped out of the line.
âThen practise somewhere elseâ the girl brushed it off like it was nothing.
âNo. You really are a pain in the arse arenât you?! Do you not understand that other people also need to practise for the tournament?! Youâre so fucking selfish and cold harted, I think your father would be really proud of youâ I said glaring at her.
For a second there I thought I saw something flashed in her eyes, but it dissappear in a flash.
âYou know nothing about my dad!â She said with a wand raised to my throat.
âWhoaâ I hear someone said behind me. It was George, his eyes are locked to herâs, hands up as he approached slowly.
âPut that down, Black. You donât want to do this, I know you dontâ He said carefully.
To my surprise, it worked. Phee lower down her wand (gosh, its weird to call her by her old nickname I gave her all those year ago), but her eyes are still burning with hatred.
I wonder what went wrong between us.
We were friends for sometime, we would talk about quidditch, about how much she wanted to be in the quidditch team, she would ask me advices to get in the team ( I was the first one of us to be in the quidditch team) I would show her the quidditch gear and her eyes would sparkle. but then she left me. She gave me the cold shoulder, we didnât talked for months.
Then the next thing I know sheâs sitting on a broom stick in the field during tournament.
'She did itâ was the first thought that came up to my mind. I gave her a smile when I saw her, her eyes didnât sparkle, and I was given a curt nod in return.
âlets go guys. come on Ollie, we can practise tonightâ said Fred.
âNo, this is not okay. This behaviour have to stop. This is unfair!â
âIf I were you, Ollie, Iâd listen to the red headâ The dark haired girl said, folding her hands on her chest with a challenging look on her face.
âYou know what? Fuck this, Fuck youâ I spat.
I give Fred a death glare and head back to the castle, Iâm pretty sure my face looks like tomato right now because I was that angry and that embarresed. Ollie?! Just wait and see Fred.
I stomp my feet like an angry child on the way to my room. And when Iâm finally there, I lay on my bed and close my eyes, trying to blow off some steam. After I cooled down a bit, I quickly think of a revenge plan for Fred.
I reach under my bed to get something special for Fred for embarrassing me in front of the quidditch team, in front of her.
Iâm pretty sure that the twins are already in the Great Hall for breakfast, they were never late when it came to food.
After I get what I needed, I quickly run to the Great Hall, my eyes search for two read heads and when I finally able to spot them, I took a seat next to Fred, he give me a small nod before continuing to munch on his breakfast.
I tried to make a conversation so that I didnât look suspicious, and when Fred is not looking, I pour a little something into Fredâs pumpkin juice, and wait for the reaction.
âUmm Fred?â Ask Angelina one of my teammate, eyes focused on his hair as I trying to hold smile.
âYes?â Asked Fred without suspecting a thing.
âYour hair, its not ginger like the usual⌠its green? and Oh my God, it bloody stinksâ said Angelina, covering her nose.
âWhat?â ask Fred, face scrunched in confusion.
Then his nose twitch and he make a gaging sound. âWhat the-â he screamed, hands trying to get whatever it is in his hair. Thatâs when all attention in the Great Hall focused on Fred. Then the Great Hall erupt in laughter. Honestly, I feel really bad for doing what I did.
âdidâyou â do â that?â ask George in between laughter.
I just nod my head, uncertain of the reaction George is going to give me.
âOh, thatâs brilliant Ollie⌠is that the potion I gave you for christmas?â
âBrilliant! now I donât have to test my potion. Because its obviously workingâ he said, wiping a tear from his eyes before drawing his wand and mutter a counter spell, and Fredâs hair turn into his normal red.
The laughter died down because professor Dumledore tell us to eat peacefully. While eating, I couldnât stop myself from stealing a glance to the Slytherinâs table. I found Pheeâs gaze, its not her challenging gaze, thatâs weird.
I raised my eyebrows at her, and that made her stop looking at me. But her not looking at me doesnât make me avert my eyes from her.
Iâm glad I didnât avert my gaze because if I did, I wouldnât have caught her looking at me from the corner of her eyes.
She saw I was looking, and her pale skin turns scarlet, she turns her attention to her friend and I turn my attention back to my food.
âSomeoneâs happyâ quip George, eyes locked on his drink.
âWho?â I asked, dropping my fork to my plate
âYouâ he smirked, eyes glistening woth mischief.
âMe?â I asked, flabbergasted.
âYou were smiling like an idiotâ he said as if he pointed out the obvious.
âI was notâ said, getting weirdly deffensive.
George gives me a look and continue eating his meals while the others are just staring at me with a confused face.
