Upon Marcel touching her bare hand, Magdalena jumped and yanked away–her expression a riddled mixture of surprise and fright. But it had nothing to do with pain. Being in a high-emotional state, as Magdalena was currently, made her more susceptible to, literally, burning others around her. Quickly Magdalena rearranged her facial expression into something more guarded. “Could you not touch me?” she said with a snap. But then, she felt bad for snapping at someone who was only trying to help her. Magdalena decided to amend her words a little. “Sorry. I just…I think it’s better if you don’t touch me.”
Immediately, Marcel pulled back his hand, a confused and shocking expression masking his face. He didn’t realise the girl was so delicate with her emotions, let alone flinch away for a small touch. He knew he had to keep to her limits just then. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know- didn’t mean to- never mind.” He fumbled, shaking off the jolt. “Okay, if you’re alright and willing to listen, wear on your gloves. Position your arms correctly and give a nice, firm punch, like this;” He said, showing her the right way to do it.
