Andrew’s Valentine poem

Andrew did not directly hand the card to her like he did the ToxiSoda. Instead, he wrote his feelings in verse while Ashley was asleep (sleep somehow managed to evade him even while lying in bed with her; the festering thoughts were getting unmanageably aggressive and resistant to burial in his mind) and left it where she could stumble on it herself; then, he made sure to be out of sight for a smoke as she did. Writing those feelings down may be progress, but he hasn’t totally overcome his weakness. And while his gesture really touched her, she’ll still exploit that weakness.
