It isn’t as bad as it sounds. Well, I suppose that’s for you to decide.
I (5,173M) was required by the Council to mentor a child (13F), because I am the only other living person with the ability that child recently had the nerve to manifest. I knew that because of their specific capabilities, I shouldn't have been able to use my ability on them, but I believed at the time that their abilities were not working properly. So during our first session I used my ability to hurt them. Also, I was right, because it worked. But now the whole Council is mad at me for proving my point, even though the child has no lasting damage.

Easy. Tell him you know what happened during his first ever council assignment and offer no context. That always got him to shut up before. And if that doesn't work, I suppose we could send a councillor down there to make sure he is actually training you...
