Unless I told you they were there, you might not notice the scars on my chest. To strangers, I may appear as just another average guy. But today is National Transgender Day of Visibility, and it’s important for me to show myself and represent a community that undergoes so much discrimination. I am lucky to have had immense support throughout my journey- but not every transperson is, considering 41% of us attempt suicide. Without visibility there is no awareness, and without awareness there is no change. We need that statistic to change.

i’m super disappointed that i was scrolling trying to find a story about what happened, why, what she was going through, if there’s something somebody did/could do to like memorialize, etc. and i just got pics of her. like she is beautiful but damn.
