guys, here's from this picture:

hafiz's tent is a mysterious place where desires are fulfilled
finished my semester long project of illustrating scenes from Mikhail Bulgakov's "Heart of a Dog"
«SECRET»
Another small comic based on Kuzmin's diary (my long-time obsession!). This scene's made up, but I wanted to capture that feeling of peeking into someone's private life. He lived in his sister's place in the 1900s, so it was a very "everyone's in each other's business" kind of vibe. Still hoping to introduce more people to this historical figure! 🤧
Small illustrations for the cycle of poems "Alexandrian songs" (1906)
I wanted to convey rather the general mood of the cycle, so there are motifs from different poems here
Theatres at the beginning of the 20th century were a popular place for a secluded meeting (including for queer people). I really like the atmosphere: to be in plain sight and invisible to everyone at the same time.
Sketches that I forgot about, but they seem touching to me
Illustration for a section of Anna Akhmatova’s A Poem Without a Hero, depicting the real-life inspirations behind its characters: Olga Glebova-Sudeikina and Sergei Sudeikin.
Imperial Aunts: Lives of Queer Men in Saint Petersburg in the Belle Epoque
A relatively small article which explains how queer men in St. Petersburg of the early 20th century navigated the city, refusing to hide and being quite open. With a cameo from Mikhail Kuzmin, of course!
Bright Easter! 💖✨
I am charmed by you pre-canon au. 🥹💔
the friendly dynamic between young aldo and thomas is very touching
