Fairy gardens were scattered all around Hollowcrest, small areas of greenery that were meant to make the Fae there feel comfortable. Whenever Marie felt a little homesick and missed her father, she would visit one around the corner from her apartment. There was something about the overgrown plants, mushrooms and bugs that soothed her soul. It was a perfect alternative to traveling home. With her eyes closed, she relaxed back against the bench, though footsteps startled her, alerting her to someone else’s presence. “Excuse me!” She snapped her eyes open, “Can’t you walk a little quieter? This is meant to be a place of relaxation, thanks.”
