You know one thing that does boggle me that showed up in Samus’s design with Other M, was her Zero Suit having built in high heels….like it makes no sense when compared to her actual Power Suit which has more sensibly designed footwear for combat. This design is from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

I will give some credit to this particular iteration of the Zero Suit in that the heels look like they might actually serve a function in terms of potentially boosting Samus’s jump height or possibly letting her land safely from great falls.

But they still are high Heels…I know they seem to want Samus to be all ‘sexy’ outside the power suit but you know, she looks good just wearing the Zero Suit she doesn’t need impractical heels to ‘bolster’ that appeal given she is a Bounty Hunter and this is her work wear not her social wear.

I mean I’ll still fully admit that I like how Samus looks outside her Power Suit in this iteration but I will still sigh when I see things that really just come off as adding ‘sexy’ since even if the hell do serve a boost or safe fall function that could of been built into a more normal style footwear that matches up with her Power Suit. (Also interesting that they did the TnA pose for her in the Zero Suit but at least did it in a manner where it doesn’t look super painful and actually looks like she’s about to shoot some mofo.)

Though god help them if they ever decide Samus needs Heels, or Boob Chest armor in her Power Suit. You will not ruin the Iconic design of Samus’s Power Suit!

Which the footwear while it has a heel looks more like a practical boot as opposed to fashion footwear. Though from doodles you can see they were contemplating high heels already!

Edit: According to @herrdoktorat The translated writing for the Zero Suit concept was actually stating that the heels can’t be too high. So I guess they weren’t contemplating it at this time.

Please spread this far and wide. We should not sit back and allow people like this to run wild in the cosplay community. Especially those who consider themselves professional. If you can send support to MyOppa(Designer of the runway Red Riding Hood dress, Taropun(Milk Party artist), and anyone else she steals from. A true professional would take their time to brainstorm their own designs and OC, and in the case of the dress one would actually take a look at the site before assuming they can make a replica without any kind of permission from the original artist. So, please, if you care about cosplay, share this. This needs to end.
