Betrayed

Hillary is surrounded by shadows. Make no mistake to reach the upper echelons of power one has to leave corpses in ones wake. There is no reaching the top otherwise.  To think that Trump is going to somehow break the darkness is nonsense.  He is equally dark. He has given a seal of approval to the white fringe in the USA and around the world.  In many ways Hillary's rule would have been more benign a more open and inclusive society, At the same time, Trump is fueled by masses that are looking beyond the surface,  still questioning 9 11,  the fed reserve, the bailouts, mysterious deaths such as Breitbart's. He could be held to brake through some portion of the establishment.  Most likely he has been given the mantel to appease the white fringe. The ones who even with all their racism and religiosity have been willing to call out the conspiracy.  Now it is their turn to be energized and hopeful while the agenda continues unchanged.

The right to vote

Aquí en la colonia no votamos por el prez, es cierto, pero tenemos mucha gente allá y grupos de apoyo y otros mecanismos de lucha. Imagina como afecta esto a Ecuador a Panamá cuya moneda es el dólar. A Bangladesh y otros países de South East Asia que viven cosiendo ropa para nosotros. La presidencia americana afecta al mundo entero de una forma u otra. Todos estamos a la merced de Bobby Joe y Susie Lynn y sus 9 generaciones de racismo y endogamia.

Brief reminder of history

To give him a chance is to normalize bigotry. His policies have to be opposed, challenged at every turn. Don't sit passively and hope for the best. Totalitarianism doesn't happen overnight it is a relentless push towards darkness while you and I think: "it's impossible they wouldn't ... (fill in the blank: incarcerate/deport the undocumented, turn blind eye to police brutality, make speaking spanish punishable, do away with LGBT rights, take our passport, etc...) " Remember 5 years ago Syria was a secular - multicultural society, 15 yrs ago Venezuela had all the goods and services western society offers. In the Balkans, Croats, Serbs, Kosovars and many other lived side by side before they descended into chaos, doing unspeakable things to each other. In Germany, Jews had wealth, were highly regarded members of society. Some were in such disbelief that they forgo multiple opportunities to leave the country. In Spain during the 2nd Republic many had modern lives, sexual and creative freedoms. Franquismo took it all away after the cruelest most sadistic acts had been perpetrated on both sides. I could go on Pinochet, Jim Crow followed Reconstruction. WWII saw millions die, Japanese death camps, the atomic bomb... Humans are capable of inimaginable cruelty. Humans have great darkness and selfishness in their hearts. Light, love, enlightenment, empathy require certain conditions. We must find ways to protect, love each other, the planet and it's species. Resistance in the face of opression is a moral imperative. The planet can't wait.

Re-lived

I believe in year 2000, people took to the streets also. The pundits said Gore was uninspiring, elitist, didn't bring then President Bill Clinton to the stump. Progressives voting for Nader the spoiler were to blame. All in all a very similar script. Bush the town fool, the draft dodger, the DUI, cocaine snorting anti-intellectual became president without having the popular vote. A motley crew of deplorables took the country by storm: Ashcroft, Chaney, the hispanic that wrote about how torture is not torture and Condy the black classical pianist that didn't think Osama Bin Laden was important enough. People were in disbelief, "down with the electoral college" they said. The electors are not bound they could make Gore president. They would be saving the Nation. It has all been said before. The comedians thought they would have a 4year field day. Comedy Central even made a show "That's my Bush!" They would mock him for the whole term. Conveniently, 9/11 came and wiped away the smirk off our faces, any hope for resistance gone. Unity was mandatory a moral imperative. Everyone piped down and accepted frisking at the airport and the subway. War in the Middle east began and it is yet to end --- it's been 16years. As I write about the past, am I also predicting the future? What will shut us up this time? What will give this unwanted president legitimacy? #election2000 #gorebush #legitimatetrump #electoralcollege

Ok. I’m up now. Tell me this was all a nightmare. Please give me a time machine or send me to a parallel Universe the one that broke away before Florida was called for Trump. Hillary is president!! STOP and REWIND. As long as I am making a new timeline I should make it right. Let’s go further back, but where… To a time before Hillary chooses Kaine over Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders? Or when the DNC rigged the primary against Bernie? Maybe, When Ted Cruz took over the Republicans, or the Tea Party, or Michelle Bachmann or further back when McCain chose Sarah Palin? Actually, let’s go back to before the Invasion of Iraq. When hundreds of thousands were about to be killed for something they didn’t do while Americans remained silent and blindly sent their young uneducated males to murder “ragheads”? Or Before SCOTUS decided the elections in 2000? Before William Jefferson Clinton signed DOMA into law? Or repealed Glass-Steagall? Maybe Clarence Thomas doesn’t make it to SCOTUS and America gets a clear message that sexual harassment will not be tolerated. Or even further to an election in which Geraldine Ferraro could have been the first woman vice president and consequently the AIDS crisis is diligently dealt with. Less gay men die and we move into LGBT rights in the 80s not 30 years later. Or maybe we could go back and stop Vietnam and Jim Crow.

I see now this is the only logical outcome. The result of our complacency, isolation, and lack of love and solidarity with those who push boundaries who ask for a more open inclusive society.

Let’s hope that Trump becomes the catalyst that makes us unite for a more progressive egalitarian world.

Could've, would've, should've

Had Barack Obama waited 8 years he would now be running for president. Winning by a landslide without breaking a sweat and taking both houses. He would've been more experienced, better at negotiations and compromise after having been Hillary's VP. In short, a stellar President without the growing pains we endured. He didn't wait. Hillary will have to start her presidency much older and he will have to find something amazing to do at the prime of his life. Obama the first Hegemon?

So today I read about anarchy. Here goes: suppose you dont believe in gravity and decide to walk off a cliff, regardless of your belief you will fall and in all likelihood die. Gravity is a reality in this dimension. It is a most basic fact, a natural law. Now, if every single person in the world or say in the US simply stopped believing in the authority of the state, in the power of government, would it still exist? Is government real if no one submits to its authority?

Anger

I have raw, undistilled anger. I’m seldom affected by these mass shooting events.  I know they are a manipulation of the System to keep us scared and divided.  I know that our outrage, vigils, rants are spurts of energy release that help maintain the status quo.  So, I usually do not allow the mass to dictate my feeling.  Not this time.  

I feel sick by the carnage.  I feel sick by the coverage.  But, mostly I feel sick by the slew of christian facebookers who want to disavow themselves from this. This is what our homophobic society breeds.  Yahweh, Allah they are the same.  You call him God the father.  The Bible and the Quran have the same origin this ONE vengeful, bloodthirsty alien being who insisted on holocaust of the innocent: Lamb, calf, and child.  How can any society rooted on the old testament “god” be nothing but judgmental, vengeful and ultimately  murderous.  

Please don’t fight and don’t flight.  READ your holy books.  Look at everything you need to disregard to continue vowing down to the God(s) of Moses.  

I’m not interested in acceptance.  I’m not even interested in peace.  I want a new world.  A new paradigm.  One where people rest their souls on love energy. Undiluted, unconditional beings creating, growing, evolving.

Men and Violence

More taboo than racism, religious intolerance, than regressive left and homophobic right is the topic of Men being, whether, Islamist, christian, white, black or Latino, the perpetrators of mass shootings.  This topic is simply not discussed.  What is it about men?  Excess testosterone in a relatively peaceful society seems to breed pent up anger, self-loathing.

Of course not all men.  But there seems to be some connection between maleness (high level testosterone) anger, violence, sexual violence, need for dominance, pack mentality, dogmatism...

The judeo-christian-muslim monotheistic patriarchal values just seem to further encourage this men/violence relation.  How possible is it that the #OrlandoShooter was turned on by the men he saw kissing? 

This topic requires discussion.  We are not hunter-gatherers, males from the other village are not coming to “steal” the women.  We are a globalized society, with masses rejecting war and conflict, with many men rejecting traditionally male attitudes.  So, I truly wonder what need do we have for “macho” men?

No hay Mesías. Colectivos libertarios comunitarios: Involucrarse en la comunidad. Crear comunicación entre comunidades aledañas y comercios cercanos. Hacer voluntariado. Salir de la zonas suburbanas o integrarlas a la urbe. Comprar (invadir?) arreglar estructura existentes en los centros. Usar y crear transporte colectivo. Comprar local todo lo que se pueda. Tomar en cuenta las necesidades afectivas del prójimo. Validar sus creencias y emociones aunque no sean las mismas tuyas. Paciencia y empatía. Quien pueda compre paneles solares y si produce más energía que la que necesita compártala con el vecino. El que tenga know-how tecnológico creé mega hot spots en su entorno. Quitemos las claves de nuestros wifis. Las redes son indispensables y no deben quedar en manos de Att, Claro etc. Con poca tierra se puede sembrar mucho. Cultivar también indispensable. Hacer las cosas en la casa mejor que comprarlas. Criar niños con pocas necesidades materiales y con mucha creatividad y empatía. Hacer pro bono, compartir expertise aunque sea 10%del tiempo. Consumir lo menos necesario: Comida ropa plástico gasolina. Acepta bitcoins. Guarda en bitcoins u otra crypto currency. La politica los politicos la partidocracia es tan importante como querramos que sea. El sistema creo la situacion actual, el sistema no la resolverá. La energía que le regalamos lo fortifica. Si algunos “ lideres” o agencias pueden ayudar en algo bienvenidos pero ante ellos hay que ir en grupos, con soluciones y proyectos específicos y estructurados. Empoderados nosotros facilitadores de cosas especificas ellos. Izquierda y derecha qué más da. Para vivir día a día necesitamos a quienes nos rodean piensen como piensen. Buscar puntos para coincidir y no enemistarse por lo etéreo, lo retórico, lo macro. Puerto Rico no es especial. No es la primera colonia no será la última, no somos los más marginados ni tenemos las peores condiciones en este mundo. EEUU no es excepcional no es el primer imperio ojalá sea el último pero quien sabe. No creo en trickle down economics y no creo en trickle down change. La Junta vendrá porque el Poder la quiere y hará nuestra vida más difícil para que nos vayamos. Cuanto más difícil depende de nosotros y la capacidad para generar cambios pequeños imperceptibles para el Poder. Vitales para nosotros.

Foresight

In the dark corridors of power it has been decided to make Puerto Rico a state. It could be 51 but most likely 52. Otherwise known as number 7. But first a great wave must crash upon us. As many run to the hills, away from the wave others will stay and endure marginalization in their own land. Cubanos are gone, Dominicans are leaving. A new white wave such as the one in the Cedula de Gracia days, the elite that ruled from afar will claim their possession as it did in Hawaii. Inevitable. This is why Mexicans and Chinese are investing heavily. The North American Union (NAU) is here and we are the Caribbean outpost to pull in others around us and balance the EU interests in the mini region.

Holocausto para los dioses,

Satanás lo pide y asi también los Orishas y Yahweh. Muerte de lo puro, muerte a fuego. Carne quemada para satisfacer su ira que es sinónimo de hambre. Qué me puede ofrecer un sabio, un profeta, un «santo» si para hallar su energía y poder necesita robárselo a los seres puros. Más aprenderé de la paloma, del venado, del cordero que de éstos que se hacen llamar maestros.

Yahweh Existe

Uno de tantos aspirante a máximo señor de la tierra, reclutando adeptos, comparándose con otros y exigiendo ser adorado en exclusividad, no porque fuera el único sino precisamente porque no lo era, requería convencer a una de tantas naciones.  Egipto le quedó grande, el faraón Akhenaten no pudo convencer con su monoteísmo.   Los hebreos sin embargo no tuvieron más remedio, era Yahveh o morir de hambre y sed en el desierto.  Hicieron su alianza, los ancianos fueron al monte cubierto de nubes pisaron sobre suelo transparente como de zafiros y allí vieron a dios y luego comieron y bebieron (Éxodo 24:9)  Desde esta enorme nave Yahveh envió mana a los Hebreos por 40 años y así les mantuvo leales. A cambio los enviaba a matar pueblos enteros que iban encontrando en el desierto, escaramuzas sin sentido muerte y holocausto para satisfacer su hambre, a la que se le llama ira.  En la época de Noé eran muchos los dioses que se arremolinaban sobre el sacrificio para embeber la carne quemada y así estar satisfechos.

Jesús no pide esto, es rebelde.  No pide holocausto, tiene otro sentir hacia los seres de este plano, se mezcla entre ellos aunque él es del linaje de las estrellas.  Hizo lo que pudo para transmitir la magia del amor, para demostrar que estando en la carne se puede ser divino, se puede trascender las leyes de la física.  Pocos lo entendieron quizás los iniciados Lázaro, María Magdalena y Tomás. Ciertamente no Pedro ni Pablo, los arquitectos del cristianismo occidental no pudieron deslindar a Jesús de lo Hebreo.  Yahveh el infantil, el vengativo, el sanguinario, el iracundo, el celoso y rencoroso padre de Jesús?  No tiene ningún sentido.  

El resultado es una Biblia incongruente, esquizofrénica, que se contradice porque quienes la compilaron no fueron capaces de, o no les convino, separar las distintas vertientes y creencias.

Cuidado

Coincido con el discurso de Podemos.  Identifican los males del Sistema en Euro-español con toda claridad.  Aún así no me fío.  Primero porque Pablo es de la casta -- un insider-outsider.  Su vertiginoso ascenso is too good to be true.  Diagnóstico:  controlled opposition.  Alguna vez el PSOE fue revolucionario también, y en aquella época sí se jugaban la vida.

Connecting Dots

A while back Melissa Harris-Perry on MSNBC had to apologize for an off the cuff remark she made about Mitt Romney's black grandchild. Couple of weeks after that she was singing praises to George Romney, Mitt's father, for his support for the Fair Housing Act when he was the head of HUD during the Nixon administration.  That same week the US Supreme Court heard arguments on a case that would significantly undermine the Fair Housing Act.  Today's conservatives stand far to the right of Nixon and G. Romney.   Romney apparently out before he started running for 2016.  I say Melissa knew what she was doing.  ‪
