Dr Diane Dobry
FULL SAIL UNIVERSITY is a place where dreams do come true. Mastering this very moment is what all of my Professors truly prepared me for and Im forever grateful for their love and commitment to guide me along this journey.
Final Mastery Journal: Final Project and Thesis.
For the past 12 months of course work. Planning, maintaining, adjusting, critical thinking, communication, giving/receiving feedback, and being creative played a major role leading up to Mastering Public Relations at Full Sail University. Week one consisted of the Four models of Public Relations, theoretical frameworks and developing my thesis for my final paper. Week two focused more on social media and branding in the media world. This was a important aspect because we live in what I like to call the “technology era” where everything is at the touch of a cell phone, computer, tablet you name it. So creating content for my site and links that direct my targeted audience to what I’m feeding them is important. Week three focus was on the real world in my opinion where we dealt with creating a powerful resume, career focus upon graduating and creating a Pecha Kucha presentation in reference to our capstone project. Now I find myself in the final week of class writing this here on everything I’ve learned and what I can say I learned overall from Dr. D and all of the amazing Full Sail professors is to be the best in all that you do. I am the difference that the world needs to Create, Motivate and Inspire. Dr. D you're such an amazing professor with your straight to the point feedback and love for my success. This was the one class where my focus was totally for my Capstone Project. Your patience and faith in my work is forever appreciated. Thank you for helping not only Master Public Relations but who Markell Foster is. This won’t be my final Journal so I won’t leave by saying bye but farewell for now!
Mastery Journal: OMR
CONTENT MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND
The moment you see your webpage full of life because of the creative content you put into it, is when you say “I DID IT”. Those were my exact words creating this for my Online Media Room. I learned that not everyone will like what you produce or even agree, it simply shows how far your engagement with them goes and how you plan to further implement work that’ll relate to everyone in a way. I loved the feedback from all of my classmates because it motivates and inspires me to go onward and upward with my work with not only Grad school but everyday life. I put out the content that can creatively move the world. I think I’ve mastered creating content thats visually appealing.
Managing My Time: OMR
If its one thing I learned is to be effective when it comes to time. Professor Lee message to me is that she always believes in me and that I must stay on top of my work because this is the final month and there is no room for errors. OMR classwork consist of the quality of media, my webpage and the amount of time I put into it. Which with a lot of effort the webpage layout was beautiful done to successfully create my OMR page in reference to my Capstone Project: AfroPunk Festival.
I learned that Type and Presentation are so important when it come to a Portfolio. Creating something that’s compelling and will engage your targeted Audience is highly effective. That means your content must speak informativelly and visually.
ONLINE MEDIA ROOM
Media has changed the way we work according to PR, Journalism, Radio, Television, you name it. A big pat of my Grad school journey is to create a webpage that will capture the hearts of millions through amazing content visually, vocally, politically and newsworthy that’ll some how keep people wanted to come back for more insight and news. This class term Learning how to create a Media Page/Online media Room was a big factor in meeting my goals. So how do you go about creating and implementing Online Media Room? Well Professor Lee taught us a load of best practices to follow to ensure our success when it come so OMR. Planning, developing and evaluating some of my classmates media pages was where figuring out the do’s and don’t of OMR. Taking constructive criticism was very well needed to give me the strategies I needed to successful make my webpage pop and even more so to build more with my Capstone project. I truly enjoy this class the most because its one of the final classes before wrapping up my capstone project and I feel like I’m successfully learning how to manage my time wisely and create content on my website that’ll reflect on my targeted audiences. Online Media Room is major and creating a portfolio that shows impressive content and work ethics will ensure my future in any business.
3 Goals/expectations
1.) Management skills with clients and employees to ensure the safety and success of my brand.
2.) To fully understanding the 5 W’s and How when it comes to Reputation Management Strategies.
3.) To make Foley proud of me through this course because this was a tough one.
3 MOST HELPFUL INFO IN RMS
1.) Knowing your companies Policy. Every bit of info in the book should be processed in the employees brain to ensure a positive outlook through media.
2.) Professor always tells me to proof read and make sure that steer away from grammatical errors. We wouldn’t want that to make my clients look bad.
3.) Every media outlook should have a message that can be delivered to through statements, Social media and website. This communication is totally important and was helpful to me in so many ways.
Reputation!!!!
REPUTATION
Reputation means everything in any company. The most important part of a brand is how the people views it that can be a good thing or a bad thing. In week one learning how to analyze great companies reputation through reviews, and the comments of what people think plays a major factor in the clients you will represent. Informations, Numbers, Facts, analytics and great service will make the reputation of a company flourish.
REPUTATION MANAGEMENT STRATEGY
Management at its best. This class was filled with ways to manage AfroPunk Festival from different avenues from communication crisis, monitoring and Policies with employees and the media. I would’ve never guessed that managing all of these things would be tough and very vital in maintaining the image of my client and protecting the brand, the customers and the employees.
