My solution will be easy. Don't commission russian artists, period. There are so many to choose from, for example, here.

Why do you need russians? Really, though. There are so many artists who need the money from countries that are not currently genociding people.

and please be sure to point it out to other social media users. this is the minimum you can do to avoid unnecessary trauma to the victims of russian aggression. the victims should not see the tolerance of the culture of the state that kills and tortures them every day, that destroys entire cities and creates environmental disasters killing hundreds of people!

earlier I wrote about why it is important to realize the level of guilt of the russians and not tolerate everything russian, in order to show the whole world and the russians themselves that their culture of terrorism and dancing on bones will not be tolerated in a civilized society!

On Soviet "egalitarianism" - should also remind that "freeing women from kitchen slavery" did not at all change social attitudes towards what work only women should do. Women still had to be the housekeepers of their husbands and children - they just had to do it after they return from work, which now can very much be backbreaking labor that can ruin a grown young man' health, and will ruin theirs just the same.

When the Iron Curtain fell and Jews could escape, so many Jews left the USSR that the population of Israel temporarily doubled. (Granted, most of those people moved to other countries from Israel.) Imagine trying to find housing for that many people.

That's how bad it was.

The fact that nowhere is safe in Ukraine. Schools, universities, playgrounds, hospitals, malls, stores, homes. Everything is a target for russia. Imagine being at home with people you love. Cooking, laughing, talking, making plans. You feel safe in those moments, don't you? Well you're not, as long as russia is your neighbour. Imagine sleeping in your bed. Going for a run in the morning. Coming from work. Going to a café. Sitting on a bench in park. You think you're safe? You're not, you're a target.
