âłÂ Marley Elizabeth Rose was born to Millie & Charlie Rose.  When Marleyâs dad left them when she was little, it caused a lot of trust issues once she was older and made her wary of being in a relationship.  Marley had a decent childhood, she grew up having to go without a few things but she was fine with it.  She turned towards comic book heroes, baking and music as a way to cope with missing her father.  She also had gotten along with pretty much everyone on their block when she was growing up. She would end up making mud pies and started wearing clothes that her mother would make. About middle school Marley had found herself attracted to song writing along with being a singer on the radio and more of a lover of music. She still liked superheroes, but music was her number one love.  In Elementary school, Millie found out that her daughter had the gift of singing and wanted to help her.  Though, money was pretty tight in the Rose Household since her husband had left them and she needed money for lawyers and the divorce, one of their neighbors overheard Millie on the phone and decided to give them free singing lessons.
âł Millie was excited and knew that Marley would be happy as well. When she told Marley, Marley was happy, yet confused since she would often just sing for fun but she knew that she wanted to do this. So she happily accepted the lessons and whenever she wasnât singing, she was talking to her teacherâs son about the new comic book that he had gotten.
âłÂ That all changed when she hit middle school and high school. It was no secret that they were poor, Marley still made due without all the fancy clothing and gifts that her classmates that had given her. One thing she wanted was to belong somewhere and be a part of something. Marley tried making friends, but the kids wouldnât be her friend since they knew that Marley was the lunch ladyâs mother. That took a toll on Marley and Millie saw that whenever she saw her daughterâs nose buried in the latest book she had gotten from the goodwill or from a friend of the family. She saw how the kids treated her little girl and knew that she had to do something.Â
âłÂ Millie saw that there was an opening at McKinley high school for a lunch lady and had heard about the glee club there. She knew that Marley would enjoy it, but she didnât want to force her daughter into something. When Marley found out about the glee club, she was ecstatic because she had heard about somewhere that people, who felt they were different, belonged and felt special in the club. Throughout high school, she had a few relationships after she let her walls down, until she developed an eating disorder. She broke up with her boyfriend at time, so she can focus on her recovery and progress.
âłÂ She gotten into UCLA, despite wanting to go to New York, but she figured that itâd be better for her to broaden her horizons. After a year or two, she befriended one of her classmates, Jackie and ended up becoming her daughterâs godmother. After a tragic accident, Marley ended up having custody of her ten-year-old goddaughter, Cassie and stayed in LA. Even though she loved  song writing, it didnât exactly paid the bills so she signed up for acting classes and started to get small roles, then eventually she landed the role of Kara Danvers, aka Supergirl.
