people with adhd, psychosis, brain fog, schizophrenia or anything that affects memory, recall and perception of reality are so at risk of gaslighting. even when you’re pretty sure you did/didn’t do a thing, if someone suggests that it didn’t actually happen that way or you’re skewing the facts or you’re just misremembering of whatever, you start to question yourself and your own memories and that is very easy to take advantage of. and it’s so incredibly difficult to get anyone to believe you or take you seriously because not even you are 100% sure you’re recalling things correctly. it sucks so bad not being able to rely on your own memory and to have to worry about people using it against you (because they can and will)

prefacing this by saying i don’t care and if you argue with me in the comments i will delete it and block you

saying that people, and this includes trans people whether you like it or not, should not celebrate or be proud of their gender/masculinity/femininity is inherently problematic and transphobic.

“there’s no reason to celebrate masculinity. all masculinity is toxic masculinity under the patriarchy.” WRONG! not all masculinity is toxic under the patriarchy, and people who have been emasculated for one reason or another (trans men, gay men, asian men, disabled men, intersex men, and more) deserve to celebrate their masculinity. shaming men for being proud of their gender reinforces toxic masculinity among those who practice it, and forces men who have been emasculated deeper into self hatred.

“women only perform femininity for the patriarchy and to conform to gender stereotypes! this is proven by “divine femininity” being a terf dog whistle!” ALSO WRONG! taking pride in being a feminine woman shouldn’t be equivalent to toxic femininity either. women who have been stripped of their femininity (fat women, black women, trans women, women with pcos, female athletes, etc) deserve to celebrate their femininity without being accused of being terfs. it only strengthens terf arguements.
