The Meadow is a playable art installation that mixes virtual reality, set design and costume design in an immersive, physical, tactile experience. Using techniques from theater and installation art to help bridge the transition from the real to the virtual in a graceful way, the piece uses ‘experiential’ digital gameplay, environmental narrative, sound design and gaze control to create an encounter between the player and the inhabitants of a colorful and mysterious forest clearing. The piece is site-specific, and invites its audience of players to cross a a sequence of thresholds before sitting on the ground amid a designed tactile environment, donning an Oculus VR headset, and crossing the final gateway into the world of wonder and fright that lies beyond…

Card art of my Inquisitor Opal Cadash- What a cutie.  I’m so happy I did my first play though as a dwarf.

So I went and started a whole new play-though with the intent of seeing the Cullen Romance - mainly so I can go read tarysande DAI fics without spoiling myself. 

But since I rolled up an elf I found myself in a bit of a dilemma, I had not expected Solas to be so interesting.  Poor Wren Lavellan- she pretty much spends all her free time doing this. 

I did finally settle on Cullen- Next time Solas... NEXT TIME.

Probably shouldn't sass the dread wolf like that Cadash.

Playing as a dwarf in Dragon age Inquisition is interesting- so much of it involves magic and the fade- something that most dwarfs can't relate to.

It also doesn't help that the few times the Inquisitor does interact with the fade, it is kind of a shit hole.

I did a drawing of tarysande 's Inquisitor,  Rose Trevelyan!  

Tarysande is one of my favorite writers-her Her  Grace Shepard mass effect series is so well written- and now I'm excited to read about Rose as well.

(I hope I got the hair right !)

As soon as I found out my Inquisitor was a Cadash, how could I not draw her with some pigeons! 

Scary to think what Sera would do with a flock of 'em at her command though.

I just don't believe that Vivienne would allow skyhold pajamas to exist. She's a mage. She can set things on fire with her mind.

I don't think Aveline would be all that happy about a new Sword & Shields- I'm half convinced the reason the books didn't sell well, is that she has all of the kirkwall copies dumped in the harbor.

(I bet Donnic is totally into them though)

During winter break I got the chance to play some Dragon Age Inquisition, and do some fun drawing for once. Prepare for a dump of fan art before grad school takes over my life again. 

I like to think that my Inquisitor would be just as into Swords & Shields as much as Cassandra.

Elizabeth got me a dalek ornament! It was too big for my tiny tree, so I put him down in the front and busted out my Doctor and Rose action figures to keep him company. But now it looks like a super weird nativity scene. Whoops.

I've been such a huge fan of tarysande's work, and couldn't help but draw the last scene from her newest chapter.  Her poor Grace Shepard has been put through the ringer, so it was lovely to read a sweet scene like this in the midst of some tough (incredibly well written) times. 

Also, I just really like drawing Shepard's fish tank.
