the proportions of the buildings in the “Leap of Faith” scene are all off, creating a stylised scene in a way that only animation can

using half-toning for everything out of the camera’s focus to replicate how comic were printed

lineart over the 3d models for better character expressions

the colour palette of the final battle changes with which character is in focus at that point
