You loved how free your life was. Sure sneaking past the First Order checkpoints aren’t ideal to freedom but the exhilaration of almost getting caught fuels you on. It reminds you of the time you and Ben would sneak out of your huts at night to have fun and be teenagers. Many nights spent by the flowing river as you used the force to chuck a multitude of stones at Ben or after you both crafted your own lightsabers, choreographing your own fight scenes, dancing around each other's glowing blades. But those moments were short-lived.
You wish you could say you were surprised when Ben snapped but that boy had so much pent up anger, it was bound to explode one way or another. You were lucky enough to escape with a few burns and a broken arm. Unfortunately, the majority of your peers weren’t as lucky. You had limped away from the scene, clutching your arm with tears burning in your eyes as you followed Ben with only anger set on your mind. Before you could get very far, Master Skywalker stopped you. And that was when you parted from the damaged temple.
Traveling on your own was an adjustment. Fighting for your life just to live another day, it only furthered your ideal as a Grey Jedi. Even as a kid, you had issues seeing only a good side and a bad side and to this day, you refuse to believe there is only good or only bad. But now you’re free, free from the constant preaching of goodness and the blindness of the evil. You were finally at peace.
But peace can only last so long. You should’ve known when you felt the shift in the force, that it was time to pack up and trek on, but you were stubborn. Which made your current position much more irritating. They came into your home at night, you fought the best you could with sleep clouding your mind but there were too many of them and you were just too tired. After years of successfully avoiding the First Order and Kylo Ren, your past caught up to you and it was time to hear the music.
So there you laid, strapped to a First Order interrogation bed. You thought you’d be angrier when the time came but you just laid there, eyes closed, calm, waiting for the little shit to arrive so you could spit in his face. You could feel him in the area, following his footsteps in your mind until it stopped, in front of your door.
You called out to him, with your mind, smirking, “How does it feel to finally successfully kill a master, Ben?”
The door whooshed open to show the angry face of your old friend. “Get out of my mind,” He childishly yelled, pointing a threatening finger at you.
“You’d think after so many years, you would finally grow up,” You challenged him with a raised eyebrow.
“Shut up!” He glared, “When were you this,” He struggled to find his words.
“Infuriating?” You picked the word from his mind and he tried to push you out, to which you only laughed. “I was always stronger in the force than you, Ben.”
“It’s Kylo,” Kylo narrowed his eyes at you angrily. “And yet here I am more powerful than you could ever be.”
You rolled your eyes, “I’m not calling you that childish name.”
“Then Supreme Leader,” He crossed his arms, “Which is why I searched for you. Join me.”
You choked on air and threw your head back laughing hysterically. This only enraged him even more, “Why are you laughing?! Join me, be my enforcer, my right hand. We can rule this galaxy together.”
“I-I’m sorry,” You laughed, raising your hand to your chest to control your breathing. You had released yourself from the restraints not too long ago. “But you want me to join you on the ‘Dark Side’” You made air quotes as you said “Dark Side” sarcastically. “This is priceless, but the answer is no.” You crossed your arms.
“Then you best get comfortable,” Kylo turned to leave but you weren’t content with his last word.
You raised your arm and yank it to the side, slamming Kylo’s body against the walls and pinned him there. “You may have more power, but I’m still stronger, Ben.” You spat out as Kylo struggled against your force. “I was living a peaceful, free life and you, yet again, ruined it”
The door to the right of you swiftly opened and you reached out your right hand, ready to attack whoever entered. A pale man entered, head down looking at the datapad resting on his arm.
“I don’t understan- oh?“ He started speaking before looking up, surprised but also smug to see Ren’s position. “As delighted I am to see someone best him, could you please release the Supreme Leader.”
You smiled at the General, taking note of his uniform, before turning to Kylo, “Ooh, I like this one,” You nodded your head to the man, before forcing Kylo to the ground and releasing him. You turned back to the General with a flirty smile, “Got a name, General?”
“Hux,” The man, you now know as General Hux, responded, amused with the interaction he’s witnessing. Behind you, Kylo stood up and brushed the dust off of his clothes, before charging to subdue you.
“General Hux,” You tested the name, tapping your chin, “Don’t tell me your first name is General.” You casually sent Kylo flying away from you as you teased the General.
“Armitage,” He sent a fleeting look to Kylo as he flew and slumped on the floor, groaning.
Your smile widened, “Nice to meet you, General Armitage Hux.” You lent your hand out for a handshake, which Hux accepted, eyes locked together. To the side of you both, Kylo braced himself against the wall before readying himself for another go at you. You rolled your eyes, excused yourself, and turned to Kylo with a glare, “Will you behave?! I’m trying to have a pleasant conversation with General Hux.” You turned back to Hux with a mysterious glint in your eyes, “You’d think he’d give up after so many failures, I’m sorry you had to deal with him for so long.”
Kylo’s face flushed red from anger at your jab. “General, you’re dismissed,” He sent a glare to you, "I’ll deal with the prisoner.”
Hux sent Kylo a side look before nodding, turning to leave.
“Don’t be a stranger, General,” You tell him, shamelessly admiring his back profile, “I got a feeling I’ll be here for a while.” Hux turned briefly, catching you checking him out, only for you to send him a wink and Kylo to glare at the man to leave immediately. You watched him leave until the door closed. “Nice man,” You turn to Kylo with a grin.
“Are you done?” Kylo deadpanned, unamused with your behavior.
“Never,” You teased, pinching his cheek. He retaliated by smacking your hand and gripping your wrist hard.
“This isn’t a fucking game,” He sneered through gritted teeth as he roughly released your wrist, to which you rubbed gingerly and glared at him.
“Relax, Ben. If I wanted to hurt you, I would’ve done more than just toss you around the room. You’re too serious.” You hopped back onto the bed and looked at your old best friend, waiting for his next move.
After a beat of nothing, you rolled your eyes, leaning back onto your hands you placed behind you. “Honestly, now I see your appeal to the ‘Dark Side’” You shifted your weight to one hand to air quote “Dark Side”. “If all the men looked like that,” You whistled, eyes focused on the door the General left through. “Too bad, I don’t believe in the Dark Side. Doesn’t mean I can’t admire,” You smirked looking at Kylo as you swung your legs.
Kylo grimaced at your comments, “Do you ever shut up?” You smirked and opened your mouth to respond but he cut you off by raising his hand, “Never mind, don’t answer that.” He moved towards the door, opening it and looking at you, “Maybe some quiet will do you some good. Think about my offer.”
He steps out of the room and before the door closes, you shout after him, “Please tell the General, he’s free to visit anytime!”
Kylo flipped you off as he stormed down the hall. You giggle to yourself, pleased with everything that unfolded. Maybe your break at peace wouldn’t be so bad, especially after meeting that red-headed General you’re already fond of.

You close the door, thanking Dick for helping you throw Jason’s surprise party. All of Jason’s family came by to celebrate his birthday and even though Jason almost shot Tim at the start from startling him, it was a success. Dick was the last to leave, worrying about cleaning up the party but you told him you could take care of it. The minute the door closes, Jason’s arms are around you, nuzzling his nose into your neck.
“Is there a reason why I didn’t get a birthday present from you at the party?” His voice was low.
“Well.. yes,” You blushed lightly, “But not what you’re thinking about.” You turn around in his arms to look at his pouty face, "Not yet at least.”
You lead Jason to the couch and give him a nervous look. “Just, uh, give me a minute.”
Jason looked confused as you hooked up your computer to the TV. You found what you were looking for and clicked on it. It was then where you returned to the couch and placed yourself on Jason’s lap. He wrapped his arms around you and snuggled into your neck.
Grabbing the remote, you looked at Jason, “Happy birthday, Baby.” And pressed play.
The video starts with you in front of a camera with your guitar. “Hey Jay, right now you’re at the store grabbing me something and going on basically a wild goose hunt since Gotham doesn’t sell what I asked. But I’ll apologize later when you get back home.” You wink at the camera. “But when you see this it’ll be your birthday! So happy birthday Baby! I wrote this a while back but decided to hold off releasing it until after your birthday. Throughout this year, I’ve been randomly filming moments we had, I’m surprised you never asked but you went along with it and now you’ll finally know why.”
You adjusted your guitar on your lap and spoke, “This one’s for you, I love you."

It changed to the two of you in bed laughing as Jason buried his face into your neck and blowing. You squirm away from him with a bright smile on your face before pulling his face towards yours for a kiss.

The video cuts to you making him pancakes in the morning before you leave for work. It zooms in on the note you placed next to the plate, reading ‘Good Morning my love, I’ll be at work by the time you wake up. You hobbled vicariously to the couch, hoping to not spill the wine you were carrying. Getting comfortable and making sure your leg is properly elevated, you open your current book and start reading. The video cuts to a later time, as seen by the darkness in the window next to you and your book soon was read through. Throughout the video, your face gets more worried and you check your phone more frequently than the start of the video. It’s the first time in a while where you weren’t out there with Jason patrolling Gotham but since you got in a bit of a scuffle last week with some of Joker’s goons, you were out of commission with a broken leg. The video cuts one last time to you almost asleep on the couch. Jason crawls through the window and takes off his mask. You jump at the sound but your startled eyes light up at the sight of your boyfriend and you open your arms wide at the boy. Jason gives you a tired smile and strips off his jacket and utilities before joining you on the couch. Careful of your leg, he laid with his head on your chest and your arms circle around him. One hand moves up to play with his hair and you see a dopey smile form on Jasons’ tired face as he falls asleep laying on you.

Your leg is fully healed and you’re on the roof of your apartment in your (V/N) outfit with Jason next to you in his Red Hood outfit. His mask is off, allowing his face to be seen with only a domino mask covering his identity. The sun is about to set behind you as you laugh swinging his arms with yours. You pull him closer to your body and started to dance. He gives you a look before giving in to your antics. The two of you are goofily dancing before it turns to Jason just holding you and swaying with the sun almost gone behind you both, casting a silhouette. You break from his grasp, giving him a sweet kiss and flipping backward off of the building. Jason is laughing to himself as he grabs his mask, placing it on and following you on patrol.

You giggle as the bubbles from your bath tickles your skin. Your cat looks curiously at the bubbles from the rim of the bathtub and swats at some. You hear the front door open and close and Jason calls out to you.
“In the bath!” You yell in response and you hear heavy footsteps. By the time Jason appears in the bathroom door, he’s already shirtless.
“Mind if I join?” You respond by moving forward in the bath creating space behind you for Jason. Doing this made some bathwater spill over the rim and your cat yowled in surprise before running off.
“Crazy cat,” You mutter to yourself as Jason climbs into the tub behind you.
“He may be crazy but you love him,” Jason tugs you into his lab once he settled.
“Seems as if I have a type.” You smile back at him as his face shifts into betrayal.
“You take that back!”
“Nope,” You grab some bubbles and try and place it on his face, creating a beard. You giggle at how goofy he looks until he goes and nuzzles his face into your neck, tickling you. Screaming, you squirm in his hold as he starts blowing raspberries onto your neck. Once Jason stopped and you calmed down, you sink deeper into the bathwater and Jason places a kiss on your head. You tilt your head up slightly to look at your lover and he leans down to kiss you. It’s messy but it’s perfect at the moment. Jason tapped your nose lightly when the two of you pulled away from the kiss.

You open the door to your new home and let your cat free from his kennel. He runs around the living room for a bit before losing interest and grooming himself instead. You laugh at your cats' reaction to the new house and jump when arms wrap around your waist. You turn your head to look at Jason and smile, kissing his lips sweetly.

Jason is snuggled into your back, leaving kisses on your shoulder as you try and film. His hair tickling your neck as you giggle, trying to release yourself from his grip. Once he releases you, you flip him over so you're straddling his waist and the camera is poised on him. He pouts at you behind the camera and he looks sinfully adorable with messy hair from you pulling it earlier and dark bruises marking his chest from your kisses. You lean down into the frame and kiss his cheek. During then he catches you off guard and flips you over, taking the camera from your hand. You reach out to grab the camera but he dodges it and the shoulder of Jason’s shirt you're wearing falls exposing your shoulder. You scrunch your nose at him and make a goofy face at the camera, sticking your tongue out. It ends with you mouthing "I love you” to Jason before you covered the lens with your hand.

For a month in the summer, you went home to visit your family. Sadly Jason couldn’t come with, he had duties in Gotham as Red Hood. During that month, you two must have facetimed at least once a day and you missed him so much, especially Larry, your cat. You couldn’t bring Larry along since your brother is allergic and the majority of your facetimes, much to Jason’s dismay, was you talking to Larry. Now the month was over and you were finally coming home. Immediately getting off the plane, you saw Jason. Looking like he just rolled out of bed, in one of your oversized yellow jumpers, he never looked better. Your smile grew and you dropped your luggage, running to the love of your life. He didn’t notice you until you were in the air jumping onto him. Luckily, Jason is used to this and he caught you with only a few stumbles. You litter his face with kisses and held on to him for dear life.
“I missed you, I missed you, I missed you,” You repeat between each kiss before pulling away and looking straight into his eyes. “I missed you, Jay-bird.”
“Sure seemed like you missed the cat more than me,” Jason muttered before squeezing your ass and kissing you hard. You smiled into the kiss and laughed at his comment. You may have missed your cat but you missed Jason even more.

“Soooo,” You drawl out peaking nervously at Jason. He had tears in his eyes and gaped at you. “Aw you big baby,” You cup his face and kissed his nose.
Jason looked at you with love in his eyes before trying to respond, “I- oh god. That was beautiful, (Y/N).”
You blush and hide in his chest, “Was it really?”
“Yeah, it was. Just, uh, hold on for a second.” He picks you up from his lap and races towards your shared room. After a minute of fidgeting your thumbs, he returns and kneels in front of you. “This is not how I planned this going but after watching that there is no one else I’d ever want to marry. (Y/N) (L/N), I am so in love with you, will you marry me?” He opens the velvet box he had hidden behind his back to reveal a beautiful ring.
“Oh my god, holy shit,” You gasp, covering your mouth. “Yes, a thousand times yes, Jay.” He slides the ring onto your left ring finger and picks you up from the couch, kissing you. You break the kiss to look him in the eyes, “Now, for your other gift.” Somehow, still in his arms, you removed your shirt to reveal his favorite deep red lacy bra you own and he groaned loudly.
“Now that’s what I’m talking about,” Jason smirks before carrying you to your bed.

“Bye May! We’ll be back late,” Peter shouts from his room.
“We?” May asks, popping her head through his door.
“Oh yeah,” Peter said dumbly, “Is it okay if (Y/N) sleeps over after?”
“They’re always welcome here,” May walked into Peter’s room and planted a kiss on his cheek, “Be careful out there, both of you.”
You sheepishly stuck your gloved hand through the window to wave at May after she outed your hiding spot on the fire escape.
“We will see ya!” Peter hopped to where you were at on the fire escape. He pulled his mask over his face before holding his hand out for you to take. Peter pulled your hand and brought you closer to him, “Ready?” He barely whispered, he was that close.
You wrapped your arms around his neck with a smile. “As ready as I’ll ever be. Let’s get out there and kick ass.”
The two of you swung around the city for a bit until Peter’s arm fell asleep holding you and you had to stop. Sitting off the side of a building, you both swung your legs in comfortable silence. You opened your mouth to start talking when an ear piercing scream rang from an alleyway not too far from where you were currently at. Jumping into action, Peter looked at you hesitantly. He just got the feeling back in his arm but he didn’t trust it that much. You waved him off, flicking open your folded bow.
“Go ahead, I’ll catch up.” You nock a grappling hook arrow and shot it in the direction of the scream. Peter took a running start before swinging away. When you got to the scene, you focused on getting the woman out of harm’s way as Peter fought the mugger. After finding the intoxicated woman’s friends, who were babbling thanks to you for saving their friend, you found your way back to the alleyway. You saw the mugger all webbed up and knocked out before you saw Peter chilling upside down on a string of web.
“Easy peasy?” You asked.
“Lemon squeeze-y,” He replied. A beat passed and he tensed.
“Hey!” Someone shouted behind you. The click of a gun was all you could hear before your eyes widened in fear. Thankfully for Peter’s fast reflexes, the gun was pulled out of his hands and a web was shot to cover his mouth. The partner of the mugger struggled to rip the web before tripping over his feet and knocking himself out on the edge of a dumpster.
You let out the breath you were holding after watching the scene unfold. Pressing a hand against your fast-beating heart, you turned to Peter, “My hero.”
You saw Peter visibly gulp as you stepped closer to his upside-down figure. You reach to grab the hem of his mask and his breath hitches. The mask was pulled down to show only his lips. You took another step closer before pressing a kiss to Peter’s exposed lips. When you pulled back, Peter’s body tried following yours the best it could while being upside down, chasing your lips.
“That was nice.” Peter’s voice cracked a little at the end, full of emotion.
“Just nice?” You question, “I guess I just have to kiss you again to make it great.”
“Please do,” was Peter’s reply. This time you tried to cup his face the best you could in the position. You smiled happily into the kiss, and Peter hummed contently. That was until Peter let out a loud yelp and your lips were met with air.
You looked down to see Peter laying on the ground in a heap.
“I slipped,” Peter softly spoke and that broke the dam of giggles you were holding in. You were laughing so hard, you had to lean against the wall and that didn’t amuse Peter as he got up from the ground. Brushing off the dirt and taking his mask completely off. They were in the dark shadows of an alleyway, no one would see his face.
Your laughing subsided into giggles until you looked at Peter’s kicked puppy look and burst out into more laughter. Having enough of you laughing at him, Peter pulled you into his embrace and kissed you again. His plan was successful as your laughs were once again giggles.
Peering through your eyelashes up to Peter, “You fell.” You laughed again and Peter groaned.
“Just be quiet,” Peter squeezed your hips, “and enjoy the moment. Please?”
“What are you going to do? Kiss me to shut me up?” You challenged him.
“Maybe,” Peter said slyly and captured your lips once more. You smiled once more into the kiss, content with staying in the dirty alleyway forever.
