The strange thing about being a Marvel was that he wasn’t even sure that he qualified as a meta until he transformed into the form given to him by the Wizard Shazam. There were so many variables, but he had to take anything he could get, especially when this woman was kind enough to help him free of charge. “I know about Professor Xavier. Do you think his machine works for powered people who aren’t mutants?” he couldn’t help but ask, before handing her his photograph. “Keep it. While you’re looking for him.”
“Unless he has a power that can block Charles’ then you should be okay. He used it on non mutants before, so I have high hopes.” Part of Raven wanted to go with him, to see Charles and maybe see if they could find Erik, but they hadn’t left on the best of terms. “I will try my best with this though I promise. Do you have people to look after you, at least until this threat is over?”
He let out a breath of relief. Amon was the only person he cared for who he didn't already know was safe. This whole situation was... It was frightening. His face fell slightly when she asked if he had anyone to take care of him. "I've been taking care of myself for years, ma'am, you don't have to worry about me."

Freddy leaned forward a little to put his hand forward to stop the shutting of the elevator door. He was getting started on his Hanukkah shopping a little late, but he was glad to make someone else’s day a little better. He was no detective, but he could see she was on edge after all. “No problem.”
Harley ran towards the elevator, thankfully catching it before the doors shut. As soon as she was in her bags hit the floor and she leaned back against the wall. “Thanks, by the way.” She smiled towards the boy who’d held the door open for her. “Who knew the holiday’s were gonna be THIS stressful.”
He nodded with a tight smile. Something about the woman made him highly uncomfortable to be in close proximity to her. She made the hair on the back of his neck stand straight on end. "Last minute shopping?" He asked, watching the elevator doors close.

“I make the worst decisions, I just usually have the dumb luck to get out of them. And don’t make jokes about being kneecapped, because that’s how you get kneecapped.”
“Alright, alright,” He said, looking down with a smile. “I’ll stop. And thankfully for your strategy, I have pretty decent luck, all things considered.”

She reached over and flicked his forehead. “Don’t say stupid shit.” Selina huffed out a laugh, shaking her head. “You don’t want to be my apprentice.”
He cuckled a little at her. “I can make my own bad decisions, Selina. I was just hoping you could show me how to make them less bad. And, I’ll say stupid stuff like that if I want.”
“Okay so I need your help with something…” Cassie started before her sentence trailed off, she wasn’t committing to returning to a hero until the whole team voted on it but that didn’t change the fact she hadn’t been as committed to her training recently. “And I would prefer if you would agree to help with little to no questions asked.”
“That’s a very dangerous phrase, Cassie,” Freddy replied, worrying his lower lip. He didn’t know what Cassie could be getting into that would be dangerous, well more dangerous that normal superhero business, but that just set him on edge. “I want to know what I’m agreeing to.”
“All I’m trying to say is, this might be the first time ever that it’s cool to not have powers. It’s a serious situation, I know, but let me have this moment.”
Freddy leaned over the table to playfully flick Tim’s arm. “What was being Robin and arguably he most respected teen hero not cool enough for you?” He smiled, but made sure to keep his voice down.
Harley had slipped away from Joker’s place unnoticed. Walking past his henchman had been the easy part, it was the getting back to her place that took some time. The clothes Joker had picked out for her were less than incognito and she didn’t even know where they were really. In the end she’d settled for a plain white dress her from his closet, because of the length she got away with wearing it as as a dress && calling an uber when she had walked far enough from their recidence. Once home she slipped off the Joker themed propaganda she was wearing and settled for something more comfortable– a t-shirt and shorts. She made sure to spray on her tan and brushing her hair before again walking out the door– she needed to look NORMAL and reformed again.

“I can’t promise you anything, I usually just stick to Star City, but I know somebody who may be able to help you out. If I get nowhere in the next few days you should talk to Charles Xavier, he works at the school. I haven’t talked to him in years but still let him know that I sent you.” The last time they had talked involved a huge argument over the ban, and she refused to talk to him since, but she knew that if he was still able to use Cerebro, this boy could find his friend safe and sound.

“It’s true, I’m the head snoop, but you’re learning quickly. Just remember that Gotham City is a lot different than this place—getting kneecapped is getting off easy back home.”
“One of my legs already doesn’t work, might as well loose both,” Freddy said with a small laugh. He knew Gotham was dark place and that Dent had ruled over it with an iron fist. “Does that mean I’m your apprentice?”

Alex had spent most of his life on the East Coast even now when he traveled frequently his travels never took him to the West Coast which honestly surprised him. The contract hadn’t come in so he had no idea how long he’d be in town so a hotel it was. He rolled the suitcase behind him as he tried to follow the navigation on his phone. New York was much easier— grid systems were much better in his opinion. The GPS was getting him no where so he wandered off aimlessly for a couple minutes but finally decided to actually ask someone. He much preferred to find it alone but alas he was new in town. “Excuse me.” He muttered to the person closest to him. “Do you know where the closest hotel is?”
“There’s a real classy one down Gardner,” Freddy responded, pointing to a street up town. “Just up and right, can’t miss it. But there’s a hostel down the way I’m going if that’s more your speed.” He smiled at the older man slightly.

“In person?” Freddy asked. “Two years ago. But we’ve called and all that. Last heard from him maybe four months ago- he was in Egypt then, with his sister and her husband.” He shook his head. He knew Amon, and knew he wasn’t going to take a threat like this sitting down. Not when it was genocide. Not when it was them. He took the small photo out of his wallet and showed it to Raven. “That’s him. When he was Osiris. Didn’t like me taking pictures of him as just Amon...”

As soon as Raven heard it was a powered kid she instantly started to care. There wasn’t a lot that made the mutant give a damn, but kids like her in danger was something she wanted to stop. “You don’t need to worry about the money kid, this can be a one off. We’ll find him I’m sure… Do you have- are you powered?”
Freddy bit his lip. He knew how dangerous it was to tell someone you were powered these days- especially when he had such exploitable weaknesses. “yeah,” he said finally. “Yeah, i am.” Even if he didn’t use them anymore, even if he didn’t transform he felt the lightning in his veins. “I just want to make sure he’s safe,” he said, trying to steer the conversation back to what he really cared about.

“I won’t, I’ll play my cards well Selina. I know how to snoop,” he said in a teasing tone. “Not as well as you, granted.”
