here are my chet danburry hcs:

so “chet” is actually a nickname he received growing up. his full name is chester danburry.

i’ve already shared this in an old post but i hc that he and knox were roommates at welton before chet flunked.

the boys were close friends growing up and would often hangout at fancy dinner parties that their parents hosted.

knox and chet used to joke about creating a law firm together to piss their dads off.

has gotten a lot of concussions from playing football. suffers from short term memory loss and severe migraines.

needs glasses but refuses to wear them because he doesn’t want to look like a nerd. also, he’s an undiagnosed dyslexic.

chet’s father often tells him that he wishes that he could be more like the “overstreet boy” and has frequently compared him to knox.

Honestly I just feel like he’s a complex and misunderstood character.

I don’t think Cameron ratted on the society because he wanted to protect himself but rather because he thought it was the only way to protect his friends. I mean, that’s my own interpretation of things, but this is genuinely how I see it.

In the grand scheme of things, he was a scared child, just like the other boys. I’m sure he was also deeply affected by Neil’s death and that was what drove him to do what he did, as he could’ve thought it was his only way to prevent losing any more of the people he cared about.

Additionally, I believe that Cam’s hesitation to resurrect DPS is because he was too scared to risk veering off the track his parents set him on. Like Neil, he was trapped in a cage all of his life, but wasn’t as willful or brave enough to escape from it without a little push from his friends.

Richard Cameron has only ever thought about making his parents proud and exceeding their expectations, so by doing something that could potentially get him expelled, he feels like he’s risking his own value in the eyes of his family.

Keep in mind, some things that I said here are purely based on my own headcanons.

After a serious fight with his dad, Neil ran away from home to stay with Charlie.

It didn’t take long for Mr. and Mrs. Perry to find out where their son was because Charlie’s dad ended up calling them the morning after Neil’s sudden disappearance.

Charlie and his mom were the first ones at the door when the Perrys came to retrieve their son that afternoon. It looked as if they were barricading the entrance, trying to keep them from getting to Neil.

Mrs. Dalton tried to persuade Neil’s parents to let him stay at her home for a few nights, at least until he was ready to reconcile with them. Unfortunately, her husband wasn’t too keen on that idea, nor was Mr. Perry.

Am I the only one who notices that when Todd enters Headmaster Nolan’s office after everything happens his eyes immediately land on his mom and he mouths the word “mommy”?????

I understand that they have a complex relationship but I can’t help but see Todd as a mama’s boy, ya know? Does anyone else think this?

It sickens me to think that Todd had to live the rest of his life without Neil, whilst Pitts had to live the rest of his life without Meeks.

Todd is the type of person who rereads his texts over and over again before sending them to make sure that there’s no grammatical errors.

If he ever sends a message with a typo to somebody, that’ll trigger a massive anxiety attack.

dps headcanons: Charlie Dalton edition 😈

Charlie's fashion sense changes every three months. i'm talking about how his style is grunge in December, y2k in march, and old money in July. he's VERY influenced by fashion trends too. he also likes to experiment with more traditionally feminine styles (cause I hc him as genderfluid)

similarly, his music taste is also very versatile (he listens to everything and anything) BUT he always comes back to his favs in the end (queen, bowie, abba, Jamiroquai imo)

he loves the nickname char cause it's farther away from Charles (which is what his evil parents call him). so all the poets use that for him.

Charlie LOVES eye liner and funky eyeshadow (he likes to match eyeshadow colours to his top colours). the poets like to joke around that he's worn every colour in the spectrum of colour at least once

his spice tolerance is abnormally high. he likes to do those spicy pepper challenges on tiktok for shits and giggles and HOOVERS that shit down every time

before he and knox got together he always thought he'd stay single and just be a fun unmarried uncle for neil and Todd's kids, until he saw knox playing with one of his little cousins at a Christmas party and decided he wanted a marriage and kids with him instead🥹

he is a summer camp WARRIOR. he'd be shipped away every summer for 6 weeks as a kid and young teen (till he was 14 or 15). he loved it cause it meant he didn't have to spend the summer in stuffy family gatherings with his parents. it was even funner when he could convince meeks or knox to get shipped off with him (neil was never allowed cause mr perry's a prick who hates fun)

He is slightly addicted to monster. he argues this is fine because knox is addicted to coffee (Charlie doesn't get the concept of caffeine milligrams and says that 'as long as the millilitres of iced coffee consumed by knox are less than his of monster, surely it's fine.)

His first kiss was Ginny Danbury, then it was Neil. he kissed both of them as a dare (neil was more of a 'hey bro, let's try kissing', ginny was for shits and giggles at a party during a game of truth or dare (ginny had come out to Charlie as a lesbian here before though)

Charlie likes to use nicknames a LOT. he calls his friends 'sweetheart' sarcastically all the time (especially Cameron as it pisses him off BAD) but swaps to 'baby' or 'babe' with knox.
