Turians and Disability Culture: Part 2 Societal Expectations and Norms
So I spoke about how in the more general view Turian society has of disabled individuals here in my last post: Turians and Disability: Part 1
In this post, I want to go over some of my headcanons about disability in Turian culture in ways that don't pertain to the military but the average person. In addition, to lifelong military careers and veterans, those who are born with disabilities are generally also held in a certain regard. There's a certain societal and even family pride in those disabled from birth, as they're often seen as in the best translation from most turian languages to have "strong spirit." It's viewed that to conquer the limitations of one's own body, and to find understanding and peace within such limits is highly admirable and respected, be it mentally or physically. Turians believe in the strength of understanding and accepting one's own limitations and working peacefully with the body, rather than forcing the body to the brink of exhaustion.
Turian society is focused less on eradication of disability, and more on accommodation and support for the disabled, caregivers, and family units. Young disabled turians are often integrated into society, through specialized programs and early education alongside their able-bodied or neurotypical peers to encourage understanding of disability rather than fear. There is a lot of focus on what an individual can do, rather than what they lack. In addition, there is also the taught expectation that the strongest Turian is only as strong as their weakest counterpart to encourage companionship and camaraderie amongst those who're different from one another. Adults with disabilities often go into fields such as engineering, medical, or even teaching, and more than a few disabled Turians have been prominent in the arts. Because Turians are largely a family and group oriented species, the treatment of other species' of their disabled or those with differences can seem almost barbaric to Turian mindsets, and they often find the lack of accommodations and access to medical care deeply disturbing. They also generally find views about the survival of the fittest to be less advanced thinking and barbaric. (An example of this is in my opinion: When Garrus, Javik, Cortez, and Wrex, are discussing things with Joker near the bar in the Citadel DLC, Garrus is the only one who doesn't engage in the discussion whatsoever about how Joker needs to be a better shooter, nor does he say anything when Wrex and Javik discuss the weakest being left behind) Turians value civil freedoms and liberties too, as seen in the codex entries particularly in ME2-ME3, so there are not any particular limits on the freedoms a person with a disability might face, unless it's detrimental to their health, and those around them. Turians who've been in contact with humans or seen human behaviors around those with disabilities also find the infantalization quite bizarre, and generally it's considered standard politeness to not assume help is needed, and rather, will wait until asked for assistance, but more often than not be more happy to provide help. I might also do a 3rd part of this, though I'm not sure on what topic just yet!
Turians and Disability Culture Part One - Disability in Societal Structure
One of the best things about fanfiction and fanart, and just these personal worlds we have in our head is that we can create headcanons and personal thoughts for how we think the world functions which in my opinion is super neat. Mass Effect is very near and dear to my heart particularly for how inclusive it is, especially in terms of things like disability and tackling social issues. It's imperfect of course, but as a disabled person myself, what's perfect? I think it's simply more important that you try. Strangely enough, my Shepard is disabled and though I've been disabled my whole life, I've never been brave enough to make a disabled character that was like me until now! These are just some of my personal headcanons and you're of course, totally free to disagree with them. Now, onto the post! ------ Turians in general don't have a concept of disability in the same manner that humans do, and it at times, causes great confusion especially in their relationships with other races, particularly humans. It's stated in the codex entries: While turians are individuals with personal desires, their instinct is to equate the self with the group, and set aside personal desires for the good of all.
This would dramatically change how they'd both treat, and interact with the disabled amongst them. Unfortunately, human culture as we see it in the game seems to have progressed medically, but perhaps not socially. Given, that Joker is called slurs repeatedly, and automatically assumes when he speaks to Shepard in ME1 that he's seen as less competent due to to his Vrolik's Syndrome as a pilot, even though it has little impact on how well he does his job. (We really only see the lens of disability through Joker, the Mindoir Survivor, David Archer, and it's vaguely mentioned with military members with PTSD such as the cult leader etc.) Turians in general value strength and discipline, and it's clear in both their military structure and how they think of the greater whole, rather than just the individual. Given also, that Turians boast the best and most powerful military in the galaxy, I believe that becoming disabled in either training or in active duty is commonplace. As such, accommodations for disability in Turian society are seen as mandatory, and a right, as opposed to discretionary. Ramps and elevators in buildings, military outposts, and generally every building in Hierarchy space is required. Turian science also is one of the most advanced when it comes to accommodations for various disorders when it comes to mobility aids, relying on combinations of cybernetics, exosuits, and other training and uses. (In the original concept art for Saren, he also was disabled, using a biotic cane to walk) Rather than discharging disabled soldiers, Turians will simply accommodate them to ensure they are still able to serve the hierarchy in some way. Those disabled in action often later become advisors, serve in research and recon bases, and advise generals and captains on the best course of action. In fact, it is relatively uncommon for high ranking Turians in the Hierarchy military to not have some form of disability be it scars or cybernetics, and mobility aids, as such signs of disability are seen as markers of experience and a willingness to "die for the cause" as the Turian anthem proudly states. This also ties into why Garrus is so reluctant to fix his scars, as Chakwas states in ME3, as it's seen as a mark of his bravery. As such, disability isn't seen as something shameful or "less than" in Turian society, but simply a fact of life that must be strengthened or built around, rather than something hidden away. Most turians view disability as an inevitability, something that eventually occurs in some way for everyone. Next post I'll go over the social and emotional models of disability for Turian culture and how this works within their society.
Great blog to explore! Thanks for making the blog. I love to read them!!!
thanks a lot. We are proud of it! And welcome others to help it grow!
Léaina - Asari Term Explained, Mass Effect
Léaina - Trusted women who help asari through their heat. There are private Leaina and commercialized Leaina. They are guardians, protectors, psychiatrists, and spiritual advisors.
A term of respect given to those who help an Asari through the madness of heat. They are always considered a safe haven. An Asari who is in her heat will seek aid from a léaina if their homes do not have a safe place of its own they will go to a den.
Only the most trusted of Asari hold this title and so are given the same level of respect and honor as a Matriarch.
Sometimes a léaina is the chosen partner of another Asari. Someone who has helped them through before and so they have come to trust them; they are a "personal léaina". But the term is no less deserving of respect. It is considered terribly bad manners to insult these women in any form. Though outsiders often misunderstand the need for them among the Asari, and their solemn duty to a woman who seeks them out.
Before Elektra there was only one way of doing this job. The hard way.
Elektra as an empath showed that "Heat" could be dispersed throughout a crowd, reducing the original Cycle bearers suffering so much that not only did she not have to be sequestered, but that she could function in battle because of it. It was only after they looked at the statistics after the Reaper War they realized that something was happening in her unit. They thought that it was her fiance's doing. As it had never been heard of a human having the ability to help an Asari with their heat. If the heat is strong they add more acolytes or other léaina to help.
A side effect of this type of "help" is that depending on the strength of the oestrus cycle, or the lack of bodies to disperse it, it could trigger other heats and possibly a cascade.
An orgy almost happened once in training. It also can leave the léaina and their acolytes in a heightened sexual state that needs taken care of before it compromises and cascades. Because of this for the first time in history, Hetaira have begun to have an important role within any Den. It is also why the interactions of any engaged group is monitored after each encounter and assessed by a superior before someone is allowed to assist more in one day.
They convinced Elektra to begin teaching this new schooling to others as soon as possible. Using battle proven tactics, fine tuned by her huntress cadra in the middle of the war. Created by BerryShiara
Asari Oestrus Cycle - Mass Effect Term Explained
Oestrus (Natural) -Also called "Heat" - The Oestrus cycle begins upon reaching sexual maturity until reaching Matriarch stage, recurring every 2 years.
They "unfortunately" broadcast their receptive status for mating to anyone who has a nose sensitive enough to smell the pheromones. Symptoms vary from individual to individual, but it can include brighter color variations on the underside of their crest, swelling of reproductive organs, hot flashes, an intense need to mate, enhanced irritability, increased libido, mood swings, & increased desire to meld. After 2 weeks the cycle subsides into dormancy until the next cycle begins either naturally or induced by the Asari themselves. Intensity varies by individual and other factors. An Asari who isn't sexually active or even very interested in sex has been noted to have a much easier cycle.
Mates & highly susceptible people can go into a "sympathetic" or a "reciprocated" heat with the original cycle bearer, when they are especially enticed by the broadcast. “Sympathetic” is felt by any species. “Reciprocated” heat is felt only by other Asari.
Special Notes: Just because an Asari has reached Matriarch does not mean she is no longer able to reproduce, it simply means her cycle has ceased naturally. She may still induce to become pregnant.
Ardat-Yakshi do not have an Oestrus Cycle. Though for their safety, they may maintain a schedule of one. So that they might appear as other asari if it comes up.
Short Cycle Syndrome - Is very unstable. It is kinda terrifying in its intensity. Even with Léaina Elektra's new school of teaching, such a cycle requires a very large number of people to help disperse it effectively, or a few gifted individuals. Such a cycle can be triggered by all sorts of things, a list that is still growing. Including intense moments that get their blood hot or emotions high.
There are shots that could help stabilize SCS patients, but it has a possibility to make the one taking it sterile. (An unknown side effect of SCS management is that if the same ladies always help the same SCS patient, they become bonded to that person, and to each other, like a drug addiction, and need each others company - seeking them out for whatever reason - these affected ones are called a Desire. Each SCS patient has their own desire until they figure out that is happening. ((They haven't figured it out yet in the new story im working on, and it hasn't come up in any other stories yet)) ) Created by BerryShiara
CONTINUED
Intermittent Heat - Is the opposite of Short Cycle Syndrome. It is a prolonged period of time between each heat. Each cycle is different for each woman who has this. It has been recorded to be anywhere from three to ten years between cycles. Those with intermittent heat have less success when they “prepare” between cycles. It is not as easy for them to become pregnant, and oftentimes they fail to carry to term without constant supervision from medical staff.
Essentially nothing was known of the aquatic species dubbed “Leviathans” before Commander Shepard’s report to Task Force Aurora. No record of their species’ true name exists, no ruins are attributed to their civilization, and no influence on other races has been recorded. The task force can only conjecture based on the limited information provided by Shepard.

My brother my bosh’tet older then a minute brother he wanted me to type this up and I don’t blame him he hates writing about him self.-
Calix’Vakarian
Date of birth-September 19 2191 CE
Personality- Calix is at the core a soldier or well a sniper who enjoys being on the front lines he’s a bit of a bosh’tet sometimes. Very intelligent even more so when it comes to firearms. Humorous and a bit cocky but will pull himself together when on the battlefield. He has a no man left behind mindset and will do anything to make sure soldiers with him will make it out alive. Although if they don’t he takes it to heart and blames himself for there deaths which is really punishing for him. He also collects old things such as guns and books and technology keelah he even collects old music for a hobby and also spends time cleaning and maintaining firearms or calibrating or reading and listening to music.
Skills- Calix would be what the humans would call a gun nut he is very good with firearms especially with disabling enemy firearms he’s also pretty good at interrogations and guerrilla warfare as well as EVA combat in space.
Weapons- Calix would say variety is the spice of life but i think its an excuse for him having a lot of guns. He mainly uses his M-97 Viper and M-3 Predator although he will use older guns that use bullets instead of thermal clips. The older guns I’ve seen him use on operations are a M1 Grand he likes the ping noise it makes when he runs out of ammo and a 1911 which he calls the most reliable pistole he has even though its very very very and I can’t say this enough old pistol but he likes it so whatever.
Family- So as you know Calix and I are the son’s of Tali’Zorah and Garrus Vakarian. My brother and i are cousins to Urdnot Mordin and more Krogan cousins, Athena Shepard, and more. We are nephews to the Normandy crew My brothers favorite family member would definitely be Kasumi ( unrelated but my favorite family member would be uncle Kenneth Donnelly-Rael’Vakarian)
Military Occupation- My brother Calix serves as a Recon/Sniper for the Rannoch Fleet Marines although he is trying to join the Rannoch Commandos. Ability's- Calix's abilities are Sabotage, Tactical Cloak, and Trip Mines as well as stimulant packs.
Armor-Calix wears the standard Quarian armor but since he is a sniper its built lighter and he also wears a hood over his helmet fun fact about his helmet he doesn’t wear a quarian enviro suit helmet he wears a standard alliance rebreather helmet that he configured to fit on his head and connect to his suit after his suits helmet was damaged and couldn’t get a replacement and he says it fits better. His armor is white primarily but has blue as a secondary color with Quarian designs on the suit he also has the Vakarian clan markings on his helmet too.
Appearance- Calix and i would get told this a lot but if we are in are suits we look like Quarians but as soon as we take of are helmets we look like Turians so we have the same body type as a regular Quarian Male except we have plates and mandibles and more hair like fringe the only difference is that we can pat it down to fit it in the helmets and yes we don’t have that weird bowl thing surrounding the necks of Turians( I still need to figure out what that thing is called)

Alpha Relay
Mass relays are believed to be indestructible by galactic society, but no known attempts have been made to actually damage or destroy a relay because they are the only means of long distance space travel and thus are too vital to risk.
Dr. Amanda Kenson and her research team calculated that if a large enough mass impacts a relay with enough force, the relay should not be able to withstand it. The consequences of destroying a mass relay are immense: as a huge mass effect engine manipulating massive quantities of energy, a relay could produce an explosion of supernova proportions.
Following a botched rescue attempt for Dr. Kenson that turns into an attempt to delay the Reaper invasion, a large asteroid is purposely steered into the Bahak system’s Alpha Relay. The resulting impact tears apart the relay, causing an explosion which annihilates the Bahak system and kills more than 300,000 inhabitants.
Sýndesi - Asari Term Explained Mass Effect Fan Codex Entry
Sýndesi - connection The act of sharing ones energy through touch. Being social creatures the Asari are dependent upon taking time out of their lives just to commune with another living being. Their happiness & health depend on it. In a healthy family and community it is something that happens naturally. When a lack is found a shrewd Heteria prescribes Sýndesi therapy. It can help stabilize Asari of all ages who are going through a difficult time. For children it can be the difference between thriving and death. Being a necessity for all Asari, it is community and care. Not sex. Though between lovers it can be both, it is hardly ever sought that way. Special Note: While Sýndesi can be fulfilled privately between as few as two, it is better if the group is larger. Animals can play a big role in this need for isolated Asari, or in the case of Heteria, be an equalizing agent against the deficiencies their position requires.
There are places that are perfect for filling this need. See: Community Centers, Forgotten Huntress-Thessia-Dassus, Sapphire Thermae-Omega-Gozu District, The Dark Goddess-Thessia-Armali, Created by Berry Shiara
Is a alien hybrid oc specifically a turian/quarian hybrid eligible for submissson to the mass effect fan codex i just want to know since hybrids are a bit of a touchy subject

Hetaira - Asari Term Explained - Mass Effect Fan Codex
Hetaira - companion - Offers a listening ear, counsel and advice. Their services are sought for conversation, sexual release. deep connection, or physical relief. They are a complex mixture of social worker, counselor, massage therapist and sex worker.
Considered in their own right a healer of body and spirit. These women are not seekers of fortune, and their wages are paid not by your visit, but by the community at large. They are housed, and fed and stipend by their own community as a necessary workforce. There are never more Hetaira than needed for the community they assist.
While gifts are always welcomed as expressions of appreciation, it is considered bad form to gift credits…
As youths Asari are introduced to Hetaira by their mothers. The children can roam between Hetaira until they click with one in their adult years whom they will always return to. It is not acceptable to “roam” once you have chosen your Hetaira, but sometimes change is necessary due to lifes intrusions. The largest reason for changing your Hetaira is moving to a new location. Though some choose to remain with their first Hetaira, there is no stigma for finding a new one in your new home.
Being a Hetaira is a coveted position that requires many years of training and a rather long apprenticeship within the Hetaira guild. Each Hetaira having to go through rigorous study and training while working on their apprenticeship. Taking on the role of acolytes within the guildhalls, doing minor but necessary tasks as they learn.
The Consort Sha’ira on the citadel is a very well known Hetaira. To support herself in a land of aliens, she had to amend the way the Hetaira work. Having to take funds from guests rather than the community at large. These funds go into a community account that pays all the bills and paychecks of all the workers.
History - Before the guild, Hetaira was a family name who dedicated themselves to the well being of their community. It was them who set up the rules of their trade and eked out a standing among the populace. They were gifted a higher social standing as holy women and healers in gratitude. At one time all Hetaira were family, nowadays it is difficult to be taken into the guild, but not impossible. The easiest way is still through marriage.
Anyone can apply, but very few make it through the formative years to the rank of actual Hetaira. Hetaira Tattoos. Called Caracara Circles Their main tattoo isnt their bragging rings but the Seed of life that is tattooed over their heart. 7 disciplines. Listed in order of training with their years necessary for completion. Sacrifice 2 years of pure grunt work - cleaning and caretaking of their establishment Sexuality - 3 years - study not necessarily put into practice Healing Touch - 5 years Psychology 8 years of intense study Compassion 13 years of grunt work/meaningful interaction with clients of your superiors/ social working Sýndesi 21 (Connection) refinement in interpersonal skills / learning to freely share their energy for Sýndesi therapy. Melding Therapy 34 years trained to mediate meld trauma or neural imprint injuries. Repairing imprint trauma, helping people who experienced violent melds, re-establishing identity boundaries, dissolving unwanted or parasitic neural loops, resolving memory contamination and bonded consciousness, guiding shattered sense-of-self back into unity. The 8th circle is called Love. It encompasses all that a Hetaira does. It also symbolizes the gift they developed to share with others. It is the only part of their training they are allowed to choose. An elective that they are most passionate about. It comes in many forms, each as varied as the students who have progressed to earn it. It is the final circle earned upon graduation and presentation of the title Hetaira. Consecutive years. 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, = 65 years of training as a Hetaira Their complete Hetaira tattoo over their heart. A simplified version.

Sol Lacerti - Turian Fauna - Mass Effect Fan Codex
Size and Characteristics
The Sol Lacerti is a large lizard ranging in a variety of colors, including tan, orange, green and gray. Their skin is rough and durable.
It takes 8 to 9 years for full maturity, and they may live up to 30.
Males have a range of meaty spine scutes in varying shades of orange similar to the stegosaurus from earth. A male can be 8 to 9 feet in length and weight about 200 lbs when full grown
Females grow to 6 feet. They have a bony ridge but not the decorative meaty scutes their male counterparts have.
Sol Lacerti have good vision; they can see objects as far away as 985 feet (300 m), They can run briefly up to 13 mph (20 kph) but prefer to hunt by stealth — waiting for hours until prey cross their path.
Diet: Sol Lacerti are cannibalistic carnivores. They are such fierce hunters they can eat very large prey including unwary Turians. They can eat 80 percent of their body weight in one feeding.
Offspring: They are generally solitary outside of mating season. Males maintain and defend a territory and patrol up to 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) per day. Females can reproduce through both sexual and asexual reproduction. Laying anywhere from 20 to 30 eggs in a clutch with no parental care. When the young hatch they must first cut through the shell of their egg and then dig themselves out of the nest before they run away, climbing trees to escape their mother and bigger Sol Lacerti. When born, babies are on average 12 inches long.
While eggs come out male or female they found that temperature can change those parameters. Eggs that are kept at a steady 25°C come out male.
Random Facts: While both are edible, it is the males that are the most sought after for the better presentation. After hours of cooking those spines are easily pulled away.
Great care is taken to incubate the eggs at just the right temperature to ensure the maximum male birth rate. Creating a huge gap between male and female price tags. The excess males are headed towards the meat market, making females a protected commodity.
While it is not rare to find the Sol Lacerti in the wild, the vast majority of them are Females due to average temperature in their natural habitat.
At one time in history, the male population of the Sol Lacerti were heavily hunted, the larger the male the better, both for game and traditional medicine focusing on virility.
As a Meal A Traditional Sol Lacerti meal is served with raw or steamed reedy vegetables and and aged fruit sauce. (Kind of like eating ribs, the male spine meat would be the choicest cut of the animals.)

Pleasant Blue Funeral Home
What is it? A mortuary/funeral home that takes care of the dead and gives them burial ceremonies, whether it be simply to dispose of the bodies or to perform certain rituals from a certain culture. Will do it with no questions asked and at a relatively low price, so it's kind of know among criminals.
Headquarters location: Kima district, Omega.
Opened: 2187
Hours of operation: open all hours.
Owned by: Vitium T'Seeri, who also takes care of the grimier stuff.
Caters to: anyone, as long as you aren't alive.
Description: Pleasant Blue is located in an old clinic refurbished by Vitium. It's a medium-sized place, with two floors. The upper floor contains embalming tables, cremation chambers, and labs in case autopsies need to be performed. The lower floor hosts offices and a room to perform ceremonies.
Because of Omega's status as a crime hub, the mortuary has struck a deal with several crime syndicates, where the establishment is left alone by gangs as long as it takes care of their dead. However, in the case rival organizations end up occupying the space simultaneously, there's a strict "no fights and weapons" policy that is enforced by Vitium himself, who will probably throw the offenders out of the window with a biotic kick. The business is well respected, though, and it's mostly supported by criminals who need to get rid of evidence or clean up their bases.
Known employees:
Vitium T'Seeri - 607 - Asari - Owner and worker
Vitium is the owner and he mainly takes care of all the process, from burial/cremation to ceremonies (if traditions allow him to). He's a busy man who can always be found working, with a white apron and face mask on and probably looking at someone's insides. He doesn't like to be disturbed while he's focused and won't be the nicest person if you ever barge in unexpected (unless you've got a serious inquiry). He's dry, sarcastic, and strikes most people as a weird but brilliant person who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. You can read more about Vitium here! (Please note that Vitium goes by he/him only and presents very masculinely. If for some reason you won't respect that, don't use this. Thank you.)
Benji Knight - 24 - Human - Assistant
Benji is Vitium's assistant. She hasn't got much medical knowledge and instead takes care of more technical things: inventory, taxes, repairs and PR, and sometimes assisting Vitium in autopsies or more complicated procedures. She's there to help you if you need to make an appointment or have questions, and can be often found in the shared office she has with Vitium. She's mostly calm and doesn't talk much, but is generally a nice person. For purposes of physical descriptions, she's around 175cm tall, has dark brown skin and black eyes, and usually wears her hair in box braids tied up in a ponytail.
Mass Effect Fan Codex Entry Sapphire Thermae - Public Bathhouse - Omega
What is it? Public bath house with showers for washing, heated and cooled pools for soaking, private rooms for bathing and massages, large pool for general swimming & play, gym for working out, atrium and hanging gardens to meditate and general unwinding. Mud baths with clay collected from Asari, Human, & Salarian homeworlds. (Anything from the Krogan homeworld is not allowed as it is generally radiated and good for no one.) Several suites for resident Hetaira are on site, as well as the largest Den and collection of trained Léaina in all of Omega.
Clothing is optional in any space within the thermae. Wounds and open sores are not allowed in public pools. There is a specific place for the injured with such wounds to relax and unwind separate from the public. There are smaller areas where the sexes are divided, but the largest areas are the mixed public rooms.
Opened: 2015 Headquarters Location: Omega, Gozu District Hours of Operation: Open all hours.
Owned by (species/person/parent company): Erato K’Melpomene (The K’ is an abbreviation for “Kori tou” meaning “daughter of”) believes its important to build a healthy confident body image in all guests. She is a keeper of secrets some of them her own.
Caters to (species): Anyone who obeys the rules.
Description: The Thermae is protected by a strict code of conduct. No fighting, no public lewdness or sex & no body shaming. The bathhouse is staffed with gregarious people who may be fully clothed or totally nude according to their wish. There is a color code for their clothing if they chose to wear it. Black and teal are their colors, if a worker is nude, they wear bands around their wrists marking them as workers of the Thermae of black and teal. If you break the rules once you get a warning any other infractions result in expulsion, depending on the rule broken you may get another chance tomorrow, or be permanently banned. It is a no fighting zone. Good behavior is often rewarded by the staff and returning customers are well cared for. While sexual favors are not banned, they are not permitted in public, and are not part of the Thermae’s offerings. That is a staff choice.
The Thermae is the largest entity on Omega, a small city in its own right that is not associated in any way to any crime syndicate. It is truly neutral ground. Sporting a veritable army of cleaners, repair workers, & hosts, all protected and watched over by enforcers who have the power to judge you unfit for the Thermae. Not even Erato will overrule their call.
Known Employees: Foínix Astynomía Éleos - Asari (Ardat-Yakshi in hiding) Enforcer “You can follow the rules and enjoy yourself, or you can be thrown out with the trash…” Fen is a no nonsense kind of person. She is very literal. She doesn’t take kindly to people who hurt others. She is part of the overnight staff at the Thermae. She is chaotic neutral. Using her A-Y as a way to wipe out the garbage in omega one kill at a time, fostering positive growth and change in her world. Fen is only 5’2” she wears clothes, shorts and a one piece under them with the black face and teal fringe. (Attached,)
Isla Thornton - Human female, Hostess. She is being trained under Liv. Wears a short black wrap with the teal border and bikini top with same coloring. She is gentle and kind and wears her heart on her sleeve. Being only 20 summers she is both the newest and youngest hostess they have. (Single)
Liviana Facolus - (Liv) Hostess. Sassy, prick of a female turian, knows she is beautiful, struts, and fans, loves to be noticed. Favorite color is a teal and violet pink often used to paint her frill and face. Nudist she wears company colors on her wrist as a bracelet. Liv is a tough lady, using her height both for leverage and intimidation. She knows how to put belligerent rule breakers in their place. She is an equal opportunity flirt, race and gender dont matter to her. But she isn’t a piece of meat. “A girl’s gotta have rules.” Liv is known to put offenders down faster than the enforcers. While she loves to be flirty and fawned over she is not okay with people touching her without permission. And despite public opinions she is not for sale, she may choose you for a fun night, but you cant buy her. (Single, Fiercely Independent)
Scrug - Krogan - Enforcer An older Krogan male who looks out for the Thermae in his dwindling years. While he may be older he is by no means inept as an Enforcer. What he lacks for in biotics he makes up for in mass & known violence. It is whispered that he tore a disgraced rule breaker’s arm off and hit him with it. This is unconfirmed, but no one stops the story from being circulated. Story goes: The man had gotten handsy with one of their Hostess and Scrug taught him what it was like to be manhandled without permission.
Despite his rough exterior from a hard life, Scrug is a jovial soul. Often he says if he were prettier he would be a hostess rather than an enforcer, but he is happy to watch over the Thermae’s people, sharing nuggets of wisdom and snippets of bygone days with anyone who will listen. Scrug, wears company colors in the form of clothing, shorts and sandals. he carries a Krogan war hammer, and stomps around daring some fool to give him a reason to use it. He grumbles at the lack of fools these days… (His marital status is unknown)
