oho sorry i’ve been mia for a few days. there was an issue with my account not wanting to log me in so i’ve been hanging out over here on my firo blog.
that said, activity may not pick up much. classes start back up at my university on monday & its going to be a hell semester so that definitely takes top priority. i’ll be lurking here regularly & still doing replies, but for the most part my main blog is firo.

tetsurou aimlessly w a n d e r e d the crowded pavement, C O N C E A L E D by the pedestrians rushing to their DESTINATIONS. dark hues DULLY g l a n c e d at those passing by; everyone bundled up in their warmest attire, PROTECTING themselves against the FRIGID g u s t s. his pointless stroll and people-watching were the SYMPTOMS of b o r e d o m, seeking for a source of ENTERTAINMENT and that’s when his gaze fell upon an unfortunate stranger hidden in the depths of an alleyway.
D I S R U P T I N G the flow of the crowd, tetsurou made a sharp turn down the DESERTED alleyway. his footsteps were almost SILENT as he grew closer to the huddled stranger before lightly tapping his foot against the other’s shin. ❛ oi, don’t ignore me get up. ❜
For a moment, Tsuki thinks nothing off the nudge - they’re half asleep and tempted to just give in to the feeling. It’s dangerous to fall asleep in weather like this, but in the alleyway they should mostly be safe - at least the walls of the surrounding buildings would block most of the wind, and their ratty jacket would do the best job it could. If anything, the nudge is mistaken momentarily as imagination.
The only reason Tsuki jolts up at all is because of that voice---
---dangerous. Scrambling back closer to the wall on instinct, a gasp escapes Tsuki’s lips despite themself. If they could squeeze in behind the dumpster and hide, they’d probably do it. It wasn’t often strangers payed them any mind, let alone at this hour and definitely not people that looked like this. This person was dressed too nice to be any sort of good news. The only people that ever talked to Tsuki without there being a promise of trouble were the nice old ladies that ran old bakeries and food stores - they’d often give them stuff that was about to go bad, in return for them sweeping up their shops.
“Wh-.. What do you want?” Tsuki force out, making themself smaller in the process of stuttering out the words. Smaller than they’d intended. Vulnerably small. Disgusting. After a second, Tsuki using it to catch their breath, they repeated the question- voice somewhat more confident, but only marginally so. “---what do you want?”

Just when Tsuki was starting to think it couldn’t get colder, it gets colder. That’s how it always goes, though, isn’t it? Curled up into a small alley between buildings, Tsuki sighed and tucked their knees up to their chest - anything to keep at least some of their body heat from escaping. Another long night. Winters are horrible. But it’s not like they have anywhere they could go, anymore.

Sora frowned, not understanding. Man, woman, both, or neither, they were all “man” or “dude” to him. It was a casual catch-all term in his eyes. “Sorry, uh…kiddo? Good luck with that medicine, whoever it’s for. Hope they get well soon.” His tone was sincere. He wasn’t exactly a jerk; he was just exceedingly shallow at times. “I don’t know if you like suckers, but, uh. If it’ll make things any better, you can have one.” He pulled a lollipop from his bag and made a gentle tossing motion toward the other, not yet letting go of the candy on the off-chance the other wanted nothing to do with him.
“---taking any kind of food from a stranger is stupid. Why would you even offer that?” Kiddo. That’s- That’s literally almost worse. What kind of person just goes around calling people in their own age kiddos? “You sound like and old person or something. Offering hard candy and unwanted advice. Leave me alone and stop following.”
“Hey, man. One’s trash is another’s treasure. I don’t mind if I look like garbage in your eyes, cause I know I’m a real helluva gem.” He didn’t think there was much reason for the other to get so touchy and defensive. “All I’m saying is, you’re just a few steps away from crocs ‘n’ socks. You might wanna watch out. Never know who you could be on the verge of impressing.”
“A gem would be someone who respects the fact that sometimes a person has to run out of the house last minute to get headache medicine for someone. I’d also suggest refraining from calling me a man ever again, because that’s disgustingly presumptuous and incorrect. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go.”
“Yeah, maybe. I mean, when they’re dressed like that, I do. When you step out into the world, you send out a message. Even if you really don’t care at all, that’s still sayin’ something.”
“I hope it says ‘I don’t care at all’ because I don’t care at all.” What a day for their headphones to be broken, honestly. “I think yours say you care too much. So much it makes you a disgusting, judgmental, pathetic piece of garbage. Haha. You’re right. Clothes really do send a message!”
