Daffodils and the Primrose are out showing us all their color!
Fine photographic prints and canvases; hand-knit scarves, blankets; handmade stitch markers, zipper pulls; created by Matthew "Matteo" Trimn
Two more 8x10 prints. These sort of go together. An old barn with doors closed, a warehouse with doors open.
*Kodak Baby Brownie Camera *Fotokemika Efke 100 Film *David W. Lewis Bromoil Paper
Tapestry class ended last week. I am very happy with my red circle! Circles are hard lol. Like my flying sail boat?
The crocus are waking up and the daffodils are not far behind. I took these photos last week but I live in Michigan so it is snowing and in the 20's the last couple of days. But Saturday it will be back into the 60's!! https://matteostudios.art/collections/the-flowers
Working on some unframed 8 x 10 prints to sell this year. Clouds is very much influenced by Alfred Stieglitz Equivalents series. Photograph taken with my favorite film and printed on my favorite neutral tone, gelatin silver paper. *Ansco Cadet II Camera *AGFA Rollei Retro 80S Film *David W. Lewis Bromoil Paper https://archive.artic.edu/stieglitz/equivalents/
Taking a tapestry class this year! Something I have been meaning to do since my cross country trip in 2024. We are learning to do curves now.
A print form last year. Far more subtle and lower in contrast than my other Opscurus prints. Slowly warming up to its smoky, ethereal vibe. https://matteostudios.art/collections/opscurus
Another Opscurus Series print, inspired by Bauhaus design perhaps?
The Opscurus series name was created from the combination of the two Latin words opticus "of sight or seeing" and obscurus "dark, dusky, sha
Follow me into the abyss.
Back in the darkroom and working on some prints for the Opscurus Series. Really loving the feel of this print. I don't think I could have shot this one on purpose!

Working prints pressed. Need to rewash the negatives, too many spots but really liking the old time feel.
Hanging out with the girls Ethel and Ginger, two of my friend Robert's Silkie chickens. ~ Matteo
Monarch butterfly in my friend Robert's back yard in San Diego. ~ Matteo
Listen to a mountain stream. We had lunch next to this, created by snow melting on top of San Gorgonio Mountain. ~ Matteo
Short little hike in the canyon behind my friend Robert's house. I love how canyons bisect the neighborhoods in San Diego. They are pathways of nature that refuse to be developed, allowing coyotes, owls, and other animals to survive in the urban environment. ~ Matteo
Corvette Diner for dinner last night and a quick stop in Little Italy at Filippi's for Italian cookies! ~ Matteo
