quick sketch because I stan
one of long-time oc’s of mine ignore the awkward arm angle, there’s supposed to be a prop he’s leaning on off-frame
My first proper fantasy drawing inspired by crying sharkfolk from one song. Someone upset him :( Also came up with a signature at last.
Finished my Angst Squad! These were actually for an assignment, but I just love them too much. Goth Attire for Self-Defence at your service.
"Lucia With Cat" (or "When I Got So Bored With Just Drawing the Model I Transferred Them to a Dimension of Sinister Anime Cats")
I've been trying out colors lately, and I am quite fascinated. This one is done with oil pastels.
I felt like drawing some skinny blobs of darkness this morning
(also look at my goth art supplies)
"The Church Guardian" | An OC of mine, a church guardian spirit known as kyrkogrim in Swedish folklore. His name’s Kjell, he wears old vicar robes re-sewn to fit his body shape, and he loves secretly listening to goth kids having picnics at his church’s cemetery.
(it's worth of full view, trust me)
Okay, it really took me a lot of time. It’s only thanks to my dear partner that I actually finished this whole page, but oh, was it worth it! Let me do a bit of comments here. This is us, the person I love on the left and me on the right. No personas, no fantacizing, just us. (I’ve improved quite visibly in drawing portraits.) And this is our story, told in a way both documental and artistic. What we are and what we will be is so intricately intertwined here that I cannot even tell exactly where the border lies. It’s like a photograph of a state of mind - of two minds even. The minds so determined that they shape not only the bodies, but the whole reality too. Lots of love to you, Krzysztof. I did that for you.
P.S. Yes, the Sonic Youth cover art homage is intentional.
"Ratface" | One of my OCs. Has a biblical name, looks a bit uglier than your usual vampire but is generally a good person. Metal-strengthened boots are a great self-defence weapon when used with a vampire power. I am on a kind of skill-improving hiatus now and here's one of the first results.
"Night Rides" | Moto suits. Black, shiny, like straight out of 'The Matrix' movie. Sure, why not.
"Life Is Only Pain" | Aren't we all goth kids in this devouring November spleen. (yeah that's an Ikea table because I like them.)
"Broken Bird" | Sort of my version of the story from Dionysos' song 'Broken Bird'. I did something in color! Think I pulled it off quite well, but from now on I will check if paper is good for watercolors in advance.
“Welcome To The Neighbourhood (Please Keep It Quiet)” | I remember Stephen King saying in a foreword to one of his books that whenever he has a really bad day he just proceeds to go and write about someone dying really really gory and this makes him unwind and feel better. I myself don’t like making even fictional characters suffer, but the pain and fear I felt after reading about the shooting in Orlando club kind of poisoned me from the inside. I feel really really bad and I needed to vent it out.
“Understand” | Yesterday’s “Placebo: Alt. Russia” movie premiere with Brian and Stefan just couldn’t not make me feel inspired and emotional for probably days and days to come.
“Warboy” | Kids all dressed up in uniform and militarist symbolics are still just kids enjoying painting their faces.
Sharing art now on Tumblr too!
So, my art blog is finally here! Welcome to everyone who felt curious or just stumbled upon this page while roaming around the web.
What kind of drawings one can expect to find here: most of them are random alternatively looking and dressed people (punks, goths, existentialists and whatever else) with occassional bits of fan art and seldom experiments with historic clothes. I’m using pencil and paper and don’t plan on switching to digital art or using colors any time soon.
Unlike my DA page, this blog is brand new, therefore all my previous works are listed on a special page - make sure you visit it too, it contains a lot of stuff I love! Starting from this day all new drawings will be published on this blog and later added to the archive page (if I’m not too lazy to do this on time).
That’s it for the little opening speech, enjoy your stay and, if you’ve got anything to say, just send a message to my main account to contact me. I appreciate any kind of feedback as well as just friendly ghosts wishing to have a small talk ;)
Have a good day!
Yours sincerely, the artist.
