A moment of light during the siege
genius british jockey diego brando better known as DIC
+(dont worry he realises soon)
My toxic belief is that if Giorno cheated, Mista would rage and cry and maybe break something but ultimately would forgive him and take him back like nothing was amiss. In contrast, if Mista cheated, Giorno would have the other person dead and keep Mista chained at the end of his bed for the rest of eternity because he couldn't bring himself to kill him too
my toxic belief is that Giorno would make Mista kill the person he cheated with himself. shoot them at point blank preferably. stay toxic
hello friends, i'm back to my bs with my current hot take for tonight: anasui did nothing wrong!!
hear me out, the reason why anasui was sent to prison was because he murdered his gf and the guy she cheated on him with and not just murder but full on dismemberment. but what if he never meant to do that and it was just his stand manifesting at the wrong time?
like okay sure he already had his stand when he was a kid, but it didn't seem like he knew how to properly control it (he looked really distressed during that time he disassembled a car). he was also sent to undergo a psychological evaluation, but the results came back empty. this only means all the disassembly wasn't done out of a hyperfixation but rather his stand ability.
he acknowledged that he did in fact murder his ex but not once did he ever mention that he enjoyed it or that she deserved it. all that we've seen from him is him asking for jolyne's hand in marriage. jolyne was one of the only people who didn't consider him a creep as opposed to everyone else needlessly reminding him that he's a killer and that he's dangerous. to him, being ostracized like that felt like being dead, and jolyne was the salvation he needed.
anasui is so misunderstood not only within the story but also by the fandom. i wish people gave him the benefit of the doubt because he's such an interesting character beyond being a simp for jolyne.
No one asked but here are my thoughts on a golden wind post-canon au.
Ok first off I know Iām a Fugo fan with a phf reference username but I do not agree with most of the contents of that book. I would take the bare bones outline of it (six months after golden wind Giorno contacts Fugo and gives him a special mission to get rid of the narcotics division) and discard all the rest. While it has been pointed out that Fugo did not actually leave Passione in the boat scene, quite the opposite in fact, I could see him lying low after Giorno takes over. This could either be in the form of joining another small-time local subunit or of trying to hide from Passione altogether (while I donāt think the second option is as plausible, I do like it purely because it gives me a chance to give him a little makeover lol). Giorno via Mista then finds him and instead of it being a test of his loyalty, the mission is more of a āI want to see what you can really do and I was already planning on killing these guys anyways so who caresā kind of thing.
Side note on the narcotics unit: I hateeeee phfās narcotics unit. There is no was that like five people can control an entire countryās drug trade. And the shit about Massimoās stand making a superdrug that replaces all the other drugs is stupid. They have to be actually importing real drugs. They canāt just do magic drugs. My idea of the narcotics unit would be an upper management that control the imports with subunits that control local distribution.
Ok this is getting long the rest is under the cut. Will add more when I have more thoughts.
Green Baby's existence is so interesting to me bc it always blows my mind to think that part of Dio's plan to go to heaven was literally having a child with Jonathan. That baby is only their baby, unlike their other children who have mothers.
It was born from Dio's finger bone that we know is actually Jonathan's too. Not only that but the baby has the star-shaped birthmark and when they see Jolyne's, they get attached to her and felt comfortable with her, showing the Joestar connection. So without a doubt they baby is a Joestar.
And it's interesting to think that the baby kinda symbolizes the connection between Jonathan and Dio. To reach heaven, Dio thought about that connection as a core part of his plan.
About the sinners' souls, I have my own idea that it can represent Dio himself. The finger bone is from Jonathan's body, and his, but it mostly represents Jonathan.
The Green Baby was born from the two elements mentioned earlier.
Like I said, the sinners' soul can represent Dio, representing him "corrupting" Jonathan's body. But "corrupting" not in a literal way but more in a symbolic way of Dio making Jonathan having his child. This being related to his obsession and twisted desire for Jonathan.
Relationship Analysis: Adam x Teela Can Only be Done in Revelation/Revolution
Now, to make one thing clear: I do like Teela as a character. She opens up a lot of storytelling potential, and keeps the secondary aspects of magic and guardianship in the He-Man franchise relevant as a result of her status as the Sorceress' daughter, in addition to what that entails.
However, as a romantic partner for Adam, she is a walking red flag in about 90-99% of the various continuities. Teela's actually at her best for Adam in Revelation/Revolution because it takes the necessary steps of knocking her off her high horse, letting her witch about how out of her depth and lied to she was without Adam getting the full tsunami effect of her wrath, and then letting her take him to task for what she can hold him responsible for before allowing her to mellow out and mature from her childish arrogance that she carried into adulthood. Following this, the culmination of their romance works in how the ensuing plotlines removed certain obstacles to their relationship in the show, which works if you want Teela to be endgame for Adam in addition to ascending to the role of Sorceress of Castle Grayskull.
Otherwise, it's just a disaster waiting to happen.
If you're interested, allow me to explain thusly.
Adam and Adora, saviors of the universe. Based on a post by @penguinbaby :3
Ok but these dumbasses would pull this shit, and as they walked away Catra would grab Adora and dragged her ass back over like āwhy did I marry this moronā
considering stands are a manifestation of a user's spirit, do you have any headcanons on what do the Sex Pistols mean about Mista's psyche? I heard there was an explanation in phf but I doubt you'd agree with it lol. on a side note, great chapter as always!!! I'm excited for the pistols
Of course I donāt agree with PHF āexplanationā and not just because Mista is my blorbo (although, Iām the first person to admit that he is). It simply makes no sense, but⦠Iām gonna leave the rant for another post, otherwise weāll be here for a while.Ā
See, Sex Pistols is a unique Stand. Not only is it a Multi-Unit Stand, but also each member is an intelligent being with a distinct personality. There are some commonalities among the group: they all love food, theyāre kinda lazy, but take pride in a job well done, they love a thrill, and they all care about Mista and his friendsā well-being. Thatās where I believe Mistaās core lies. Other than that, theyāre incredibly competitive with each other and fight constantly over petty things. I think this is a sign of Mistaās slightly egotistic nature. He loves his comfort and his time in the limelight, and heās willing to antagonize anyone who gets in the way of that⦠even if itās himself.Ā
The first thing we learn about Sex Pistols is that they donāt like being treated as pets. They have a high intellect and are capable of complicated speech in a way few other Stands are. In my speculation, this reflects Mistaās own intelligence and how it manifests. Heās a curious lad, with a lot of inquisitiveness about the world and all the different experiences it encompasses, and he never hesitates to voice his wildly out-of-pocket theories and opinions. Heās also an incredibly resourceful and creative problem solver, but the way he approaches challenges is often through trial and error. Mista likes to test things out, to push and probe around an issue. His decision making is considering different angles, almost like a conversation between his mind and the circumstances he finds himself in, a back and forth thatās easier when you have six little fellas offering their input.Ā
Sex Pistols are also a team. They need to work together in order to achieve anything of substance. Number Six couldnāt even push Bucciaratiās heart together when he was by himself. I think this speaks of Mistaās ability to be a team player. Heās at his strongest as part of a whole. He can take charge, but also fall behind and offer support when the situation calls for it, the same way the Pistols can lead and encourage each other while at the same time cooperate successfully. Like we all remember the Yee-haw battle cry, but they also yell out Pass-Pass-Pass to signal that theyāre open to help.Ā
Now, there are two more aspects of the Stand that I find interesting. First, thereās Number Five, and second is the fact that Mista has to manage them.Ā
Number Five is obviously an outlier among Sex Pistols. Theyāre all somewhat different, some are more violent, some are more cheery, some are leaders, some are followers, but Number Five is unlike anybody else. Heās emotional, sensitive, a cry-baby and easily scared. Obviously, Iām not the first to point out that he should have been Number Four, and the others, especially Number Three, hate him for it. But I feel he also represents the part of Mista thatās the most vulnerable, a part that heād rather not acknowledge too much, that he clearly associates with the number four: his fears.Ā
But! But!! Hereās the thing: Mista manages Sex Pistols! He doesnāt allow Number Three to bully Number Five, and he tries to distribute their snacks equally so no one complains of favoritism. Even when it comes to his āweakestā aspect, Mista doesnāt actually let the unlucky number four be associated with it. Number Five is Number Five. He deserves a seat at the table, same as everyone else. I think this shows an incredible amount of self-respect and self-acceptance.Ā
Mistaās Stand is id incarnate. If left to their own devices, they would eat, sleep and fight all day, but Mista steps in and reigns his fears, he actively puts limits on his indulgent nature, and makes an effort to be there for others around him. And that, I think, makes him such a fascinating character.
If SasuKarin had a kid would the kid be capable of having the sharingan and Sage Mode at the same time?
Probably. I personally havenāt yet built my SK kids in terms of power-ups.
But I donāt see why now tho. Karin has a crazy resisting body - she filled Tsunadeās base reserves & Byakugou, awakened the chakra chains AND FOUGHT THAT BIG ASS STATUE (one of them).
Like do you realise how much that is?
So then imagine that all the side effects of using the Sharingan will be close to zero and the body would be pretty much capable of withstanding almost anything.
Thatās ofc if the kid inherits the parentsā prowess ofc.
But in theory it could be done, yeah.
Here it is!!! It's kinda messy and unfinished, but I didn't wanna keep you waiting any longer!!! TAADAAAA!!!

Happy Star Wars Day! Iāve decided to make my Skywalker comic into one easily rebloggable post.
Continuing on with my legends musings another partly hot take is that I donāt mind Luke having other partners besides Mara but it has to before they meet. After that I want Luke to develop a relationship with Mara. I think him having relationships before meeting Mara that didnāt work out makes sense as Luke is more emotionally mature than Mara and he doesnāt strike me as someone who wouldnāt engage in romance.
Looking at his quite large list of love interests, the ones I before he met I have no issue with. Shira Brie for example I love the idea that an ex of Luke ended up as a villain. I think it gives Lukeās character a different perspective plus you know Vader was his dad. Gaeriel was ok for him trying to rebound after what happened in ROTJ. Teneniel is actually my favorite love interest of his after Mara and I genuinely think they had a brief fling on Dathomir but I donāt want them together because well I canāt do Jacen dirty and have Tenel Ka be his cousin, the Luke and Leia kiss is already enough incest lol. There are more love interests, many more in fact but Iām just focusing on a couple.
But when you take a look of his partners after he met Mara and theyāre all not well written. First you have Jem Ysana which is a character introduce in Dark Empire II and the literal next issue where Luke and her get together she dies. Then you have Callista, Lukeās most famous love interest after Mara and his most infamous. Her character concept is great, her character is ok but her relationship is bad. Like not including the ghost sex which I really donāt have an issue with, her taking the body of Lukeās student that basically committed suicide is not great and the story applauding is gross. Plus the whole āif I donāt have the force then my kids wonāt so I canāt be with Lukeā is pretty gross. Finally you have Akanah who basically just gaslight Luke the entire relationship and weāre supposed to feel sorry for her.
I donāt mind him having relationships before Mara but after he meets her, then his romantic focus should be on her. I think him having partners before Mara just helps to separate Luke from his dad who fell in love with the first woman he showed attraction and never got over her. It shows Lukeās maturity and willingness to love and move on.
Plus it also contrasts with Mara herself as I genuinely donāt believe she had much experience in the romantic side of things. I headcanon most of her experience being sexual partners and/or brief flings. I think her upbringing as an assassin plus having Palpatine as her mentor left her a bit too emotionally damage to be in a relationship. Until she heals and becomes a Jedi in which she starts a relationship with Luke.
PadmĆ© and Luke are both driven by hope, even when everything around them thinks they shouldnāt be. PadmĆ© believes in democracy, in people, in the idea that systems can be saved before they collapse. Luke carries that same belief, but on a more personal level. He looks at Darth Vader, a man the entire galaxy sees as irredeemable, and still insists there is good in him. Where others see an ending, both of them see possibility. They hold onto compassion as a strength, not a weakness, and it defines the choices they make.
Anakin and Leia, on the other hand, share a different kind of intensity. Both are deeply emotional, fiercely loyal, and quick to act when the people they love are threatened. Anakinās love consumes him, twisting into fear and control. Leia channels that same fire into leadership, into resistance, into refusing to back down no matter the cost. They both carry anger, but where Anakin is ruled by it, Leia sharpens it into something purposeful. It becomes her strength instead of her downfall.
on that note i see a lot of posts that are like "x character would never have done that to jay nakamura..." and then like 30% of the time its correct, usually when someone names a milestone character, but 70% of the time its like. not only would they have done that to jay they wouldve been like... way worse actually. like they wouldve made jon look forgivable
What happened now in Jon's comics?
