I have nothing to say. Like, itâs not because I donât have what to say, I do, a LOT, but I donât want to talk anymore due to feeling like Iâm being too annoying, and not being productive as I would like to beâŠ. so now i will come back when i actually make something cool.
In other words: indefinite hiatus until my ass ACTUALLY does something other than just yapping.
Ok but⊠what if X kept every weapon and armor and just

Reploids with the same face can be a funny concept, but also existential dreadful depending on the caseâ this happens in real life with us! And this goes beyond twins! (Of course that it isnât intentional industrial design for us unlike themâ you understood what I meant)
We live in a planet with 8 Billion people! And sometimes, people will have the same face, (and thereâs the fun part because imagine if Reploids had those events where they gather together just because they were made by the same company, having identical faces, and just having fun) (the reunion of Reploids with same-face syndrome đâïž) (IMAGINE A BUNCH OF THEM COSPLAYING THE SAME CHARACTER BUT IN DIFFERENT COLORS OR GENERIC ANIME PROTAGONIST WITH SAME FACE SYNDROME TOO, STOP, THATâS SO ADORABLE TO ME HOW THEY JUST EMBRACE IT AND HAVE FUN TOGETHER đđđđ)
But the existential dread is knowing that âyou arenât uniqueâ, âyouâre not special, so youâre worthless. ReplaceableââŠ. And depending on the Reploid this shit can be taken to extreme, because imagine if youâre a soldier? You HAVE to stay in the uniform, your body is the uniform, your face is the norm, you canât just change that.
You canât simply customize, express your personality without breaking rules.
If you die, someone like you will take your place, and no one will remember your name. You were⊠just one more coin in the war machine.
(I think thereâs aspects about Reploids that can lead to heartwarming moments or just a tragedy) (or indifference) (I donât know if Iâm overthinking here)

Teal, Marverick Hunter of class A; she ended dying after stopping an explosion to happen inside an airplane full of civilians.
Storm eagle was her boyfriend, she also was Zeroâs friend.
My twin was talking about her and she wanted to redesign Teal, but she couldnât find references anywhere (outside the manga).
So I decided to gather as much appearances I could find of her and, well, share here too! đ

(Honestly, I LOVE when they show Reploids that have families, friends or romantic partnersâ I have a huge soft spot for it).
My mind has been jumping around AUs, therefore, those are the average situations between X and iris:
in the reinterpretation.
(Kronos eating his children because thatâs how Iris feels about X. âTime eats all his childrenâ; going against a power much bigger than you; the past generation consuming everything, nothing is left for the future; she canât scape him no matter how hard she tries, and the only way out was rebelling) (Prometheus because X4 is gonna be inspired by the myth⊠I mean the only story is inspired by the myth, but X4 is the conclusion of the myth. âZeusâ, in this case Sigma, took away the âFireâ, Repliforce, from humanity. X, âPrometheusâ, returned the fire to humanity, so âZeusâ punished âPrometheusâ with the âeagleâ, Iris.
Iris can also be simultaneously Zeus, the Fire and The Eagle tooâZeus because he took the fire away after he was tricked by Prometheus to have the worse meal; her turning into the eagle can also mean how she abandoned humanity physically, but also abandoned X gift to Reploids, their free will, in name of her revenge.
The Fire abandoning its own humanity and its keepers, returning to its primal stage) (Ouroboros is the cycle of creation and destruction, âthe dragon or snake that eats itselfâ; Iris is the recreation of X too, the industry consumed itself to create her) (donât need to explain why Ted and AM are here, right?)

Confession time (and this will be the hugest plot reveal of the century): I used to be a huge Iris hater.
It was a long, long time ago, but I was, and itâs⊠interesting how those days I was called âIris enthusiastâ. Good.
Iâm doing something right this time , lol!
Fuck me, Reinterpretation Gate is now my second favorite villain (first is Iris) just because I can see him âCollective Consciousnessâ And âIt has to be this wayâ from Metal Gear Rising, and my dumbass imagine that one scene with Raiden and Armstrong, but with X punching Gate 100 times and not doing anything đđ
(One detail: Gate is a human being here, so that armor is fucking doing its job very well)

(X, Colonel and Iris being this established trio, siblings and all that, then Zero comes along and he just stand out like an alien near them, but still sticks around is so fucking cute to me đ)

(If he was a hunter in the AU, they would be closer for sure, but because heâs in Repliforce, just Iris is. She will also change units for a while here, when Repliforce was formed, but here I imagine she was going to train their navigators instead of being, well, a newbie; him and Colonel are more formal, they donât spare⊠Colonel doesnât like him very much, and X is his fucking nemesis/rival that WILL have problems with him for breathing wrong.
X is gonna be a menace here due to Colonelâs influence + the fact that here the trio know that he was a Maverick. The X-Hunters literally fought to have each otherâs piece of Zero! Heâs a dangerous weapon! He has amnesia, but Colonel is doubtful, so X also gets doubtful, but because he isnât in a position of power, he can be more vocal about it.
I know that it would be funny to add âbecause of Irisâ, but Iris is naturally more cautious than her brothers, and itâs very telling when she ends up actually believing Zero is not that boogeyman Colonel is making him appear to be. She even ends up standing up for Zero once, calling out X bullshit, and this ends up making X paranoia tune down, a little, but it did).
After a miserable idea, I had to actually think about something that would give me serotoninâ so AU where X, Colonel and Iris were raised like siblings đ
(The idea is very simple: Dr.Cain created Reploids before he decided to release X from his shoebox, but, the reason why he took so long, even after the creation of the first line, was because he was trying to recreate Xâ that recreation would be his sibling!
X ended up with two siblings in the end, but the more the betterâ because weâre earlier in the story, the twins would work with the Hunters, Colonel would probably be Sigmaâs left hand, Iris is their designated navigator.
Talking about Sigma, heâs kinda their older brother⊠but you know that half-sibling from fatherâs part, thatâs 20 years older than you?
Thatâs him.
He doesnât really have the same energy as the trio, not anymore, but he sees their enthusiasm and canât help but feel hopeful about the future too. Colonel is close to him, as they both are Reploids created solely for combat, but Sigma actually seems more closer with Iris, probably because they seem to care a lot about the well being of the Hunters in general.
Doesnât mean he doesnât get along with X as well! They just donât talk as much because heâs with Cain, helping in his projects.
X only joins the Hunters much later than them, which Iris wasnât as enthusiastic as Colonel was when X told themâŠ

Continuing this idea a little bit, Sigma wouldnât be infected here (making him a recurring villain would be boring as hell here, honestlyâ specially because of his connection with the main trio. So him dying once is already enough), that would mean Zero wouldnât be found until much later, in X2, by the X-Hunters!
(Colonel takes Zero role in X1, and just like him, he almost died, but he was fine đ)
I like to think that the X-Hunter were fighting between each other here, each one of them wanted to be the next leader, so they all have a individually one part of Zeroâ theyâre fucking battling each other to have their very own Exodia â anyway, Zero is rebuilt here, I donât know by whom, but he was.
He probably will infect Colonel here too, but it took him over very, very slowly. I want the Marverick virus working a little differently here, like, it finds an strong host and if they die it will jump at the next person, which means: Colonel wonât be the Sigma of this AU.
Anyway. Zero would be a Repliforce member, their very own super soldier because the Hunters already had X. The trio donât like him, specially X, this dude was literally fought over to be rebuilt, how dangerous he actually is??
(Something something, Colonel finally rebels, and Iris, bitter with humanity after learning How Reploids were created, and dealing with an unimaginable grief after the lost of her twin, decided fuse with his infected core for power) (unlike Colonel, she doesnât go insane, sheâs cunning, and hides away when she needs to)
(she will be the recurring antagonist. X wants to save her so bad from that armor) (she is not angry at X in this AU, she still cares about him deeply, but her disdain here itâs because of Dr.Cain Laziness when building the Reploids. X was the only Hunter that wasnât infected. He was built better, with love, care, and her and Colonel werenâtâ and because of this, Colonel was infected)
(Well, Zero and him becomes close allies after all of those events, the person he hated the most now is the closest he has to a family now)

Cried in two different moments in my Reinterpretation (so far) (actually it was three):
Iris feeling Colonelâs spark fading away while she was in a coma state; when one is in danger, the other will be alerted⊠she could only feel him slowly fading away. She has no idea how, nor who, killed him here. She just knows she could not even save Her own brother. (And I cried like a baby because I thought about this while listening to âBright Eyesâ, from Watership down. Look, Zero still killed Colonel here, but really, it doesnât matter⊠because when someone you love dies during war, will you ever know who killed them? She would never forgive him, she would hate him forever after this. She fucking would. But for this story, it doesnât matter it was him, or any other Hunter, because her Wrath was against something much bigger than Zero). (Colonelâs death also made me tear up when I thought about it because he was finally freeing himself from his programming⊠and he died before Iris could learn the name he picked up for himself. Colonel died as a soldier moments before of actually becoming someone beyond his role).
2. X listening, over and over again, Dr.Lightâs messages has left for him, of how proud he was of him; even though they couldnât possibly meet each other the moment X started to live⊠he shall know that whatever path X decides to take, he has his approval and support. (Dude imagine going through the worst moment in your life and you just need someone to tell you: Youâre doing fine.
When the path youâre taking simply doesnât make sense, you feel lost, you need someone to tell you they support what youâre doing).
I Fucking love X being Prometheus, (the Titan that brought Fire for his masterpiece,
humanity).
You can actually imagine the âfireâ X gave away in two ways here, simultaneously: He helped humanity to evolve technologically and he gave his creations, the Reploids, the power to make decisions on their own, just like him.
It all started with good intentions from his part, but good intentions are never enough to justify that he still gave the same fire that would burn down villages.
And now his liver is constantly being eaten away by his decision.

He doesnât have the right for his own creations, Dr.Cain has; (Or something like that) (the point is, X just assisted with the first Reploid and their schematics, Dr.Cain distributes those schematics)
Therefore, X doesnât have the final word of what Reploids shall be created for⊠he wasnât happy in the slightest knowing that Dr.Cain just gave the permission that Reploids would be fabricated for Conflict purposes.
but he also didnât fought against it, as at that point in time there was no better answer for the Maverick attacks other than creating someone capable of solving the problem.
(this decision will bite him in the ass very hard, as this is a road that is not easy to go back) (Man kind created swords, then guns, then tanks, then Nuclear bombsâ Reploids created for conflict will always get bigger until the point you just have to ask yourself why you havenât stop; thereâs a legitimate risk this Reploid will not be treated as a sentient entity, but a weapon with consciousness and internalize it.)
(And this happened with Repliforce)
(I want them to be the point where the Reploids are created to be humanity strongest military, treated more like an instruments of destruction that happen to make decisions on their own behalf.
Look, Iâm trying to be fair here⊠Iâm not gonna say a human shouldnât be worried being near someone thatâs built like a tank. Any Reploid can go Maverick; with how optimize for battle a Repliforce soldier is too, one of them going Maverick is enough to say âwe canât let them do anything without supervisionâ.
The difference is that youâre doing this with someone thatâs capable of rationalizing whatâs going on. You have created super soldiers that canât possibly live in civil life being who they are, and sure, some Reploids may not feel bad about it, after all: Why miss something that you never had? They have their own place tooâŠ
some may never want the war to end. Why wishing for a civil life?
But not everyone is like this. Thatâs the point.
Assuming how a whole group would act the same way never ends up well. By design, corporations creates Reploids that couldnât exist without causing fear, so how can you make sure they are able to have a life outside combat? Outside the battlefield? To Truly Have Free Will??
Yes, you can argue: But theyâre Reploids, they can change their bodies.
Which is fair, but Letâs just say: The Reploid is comfortable is changing who they are to fit civil life⊠Is it enough? Think about it, this soldier never lived with a human before, theyâre created for war, and fought everyday, therefore they have a lot of baggage too, the same way a veteran would have after returning homeâ if a human veteran already has challenges to overcome after war, how can you make sure a Reploid is even gonna be prepared for a life they never had?
You canât stop a human soldier coming back home because of the possibility of them not being able to readapt to civil life. Itâs their right to return after serving. But This Reploid needs support because of public safety + their own, as again, they never lived outside the context of the military. How accessible thatâs?
How can you make sure a Reploid, created for war, can have their right to choose to not to be a combatant? To have a life outside conflict and the military? While also not creating panic among humans?)
