Jonice Webb, Running on Empty: Overcome Your Childhood Emotional Neglect
You know what Allah ﷻ calls you on your worst day?
"يا عبادي “
"My Beloved Servant”
I’m only adding my two cents because I see this post pop up ALL the time and it annoys me that it isn’t linguistically correct and subsequently romanticizes something which is dishonest to the text.
عبد = servant/slave
عباد = servants/slaves
عبادي = My servants/slaves
The text is plural and there’s no “beloved” there. That whole ayah is beautiful and humbling, so I’m not sure why we need to hold onto inaccurate bits and bobs to feel good. There are also multiple times when Allah addresses us as ‘Ibadi’ not just on “our worst days” because again, the wording evokes a Master/slave relationship and therefore, one of obedience.
Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (Az-Zumar, Ayah 53)
O My servants who have believed, indeed My earth is spacious, so worship only Me. (Al-Ankabut, Ayah 56)
…and few of my servants are grateful. (Surah Saba, Ayah 13)
Indeed, over My [believing] servants there is for you no authority. And sufficient is your Lord as Disposer of affairs. (Al-Isra’, Ayah 65)
Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, ‘Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.’ (Al-Mu'minun, Ayah 109)
[O Muhammad], tell My servants who have believed to establish prayer and spend from what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, before a Day comes in which there will be no exchange, nor any friendships. (Ibrahim, Ayah 31)
FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT BARAK ALLAHU FEEKI THANK YOU THIS HAS BEEN BOTHERING ME SINCE FOREVER.
STOP ROMANTICIZING THE VERSES OF ALLAH TO FIT YOUR AESTHETIC. HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR THE QUR'AN AND DON’T PLAY WITH THE WORDS OF ALLAH.
It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoice.
Surah Ar Rum 30:48
The room with the window closed is my heart, and the dove fluttering in it is my love for you... And you... you are the light outside...

Imagine you’re someone who calls people to Allah? Imagine you’re someone who puts the love of Allah in the hearts of the people? سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّٰهِ that is a blessing and such an honour. May Allah make us amongst those people أمين
Flora & Fauna series 1/∞
Telling people we love them, that we see and hear them, even during life’s quieter moments, appreciating one another whether we see each other everyday or haven’t in a year, to hold the significance of someone in our hearts while they’re here and not only after they’re gone, to give the love that we want and receive the love that we need
It's okay if you have a stutter, a lisp, a thick accent, difficulty pronouncing words, difficulty speaking a specific language, etc. It's not your fault if people are impatient or unwilling to communicate with you. There is nothing wrong with the way that you talk.
The best ones left in the worst ways.
“The strongest people are the ones who are still kind even after the world tore them a part.”

The Correct Hijāb of a Muslim Woman
Whenever she leaves her home or is around men or in a place where men can see her
• No embroidery.
• No jewels no sparkles.
• No designs no patterns.
• No bright colors.
• No thin or clingy or stretchy material.
• No noise of the heels or jewelry or any other adornment.
• No kohl in the eyes or any makeup whatsoever.
• No flashy & adorned handbags or shoes.
Simple, plain, and unattractive.
Starts from the head all the way down to the toes - covered fully.
When outside her home, not even a nail is uncovered.
Not even the shape of the shoulders or arms is shown.
Just a thin narrow small slit for the eyes, just enough to see the way.
• Her eyes - lowered not staring at other men
• Her voice - harsh, not softened, containing no laughter or giggles.
• Her speech - restricted to only what is necessary, no chit chat or joking.
This is the command of Allāh. This is Hijāb.
”It is not necessary to see the fruit of your Da’wah in this life. Some people want to see the ultimate victory. The ultimate victory is to die patient and firm on the right path, and that is why we continuously ask Allah to keep us steadfast and firm on the right and pure Tawheed”
