âRight! Opinions. I-Iâm pretty good at those, I think.â Phoenix replied, still rather quickly but just a tad bit calmer than before. âPiersonâs always got great opinions, too, and ideas in general. So uh⊠What is it about, exactly?â
âDecorations! Itâs almost Halloween and I wanna get a head start with things,â Mavis said as if it was an obvious answer. âYou can never plan too early. I have to go through my stuff from last year and hought you would be great help on telling me what I should keep and what I should scrap.â

dannyâs work schedule has him keeping hours that most would find out of the ordinary, but to him working well past sundown is hardly any cause for concern. heâd always been more of a night owl, finding heâs his calmest and most comfortable under the night sky. being in the woods however is not something he does regularly. but his producers had pointed out that there were whispers around the island of hauntings out by this part, and naturally, danny had to work a couple of episodes out of it. heâs sipping his coffee (fourth cup of the day, heâs fine) and listening attentively as the production assistant gives him his directions for the episodeâs intro. the pair are bouncing dialogue ideas off each other, hoping to make the scripted intro seem a little moreâŠ.him. âi mean, i can always just say âback at it again with the ghost huntingâ if all else fails.â danny jokes. then, everyone around him freezes as the leaves in a tree nearby rustle. âstop.â he warns, amused by how easily they spook. but the two people accompanying him had already started heading back to the truck and danny just sighs. he quickly learns that theyâre right though when he turns back around and thereâs suddenly a girl there. âholy shit.â he breathes, before sighing in amused relief. âgood scare.â he compliments the stranger with a smile, and while itâs probably not in his best interest to be chatting up an absolute stranger in the woods at night, something about her enthusiasm seems harmless. ânot yet. but iâm looking for some ghosts, if you wanna stick around and help.â
mavis laughed. she really wasnât going for a scare moment but she couldnât really control how some moments played out. at the option to help she bounced on her heels. mavis hoped she was a decent help. she liked to think she was pretty good at spotting ghouls and ghastly things that crept in the night. there was no other job she was more prepared for than this one. âi would love to help! my dad says i have a sixth sense with these things.â she used to talk to spirits, or what she thought were spirits, all the time back home. she was sure she knew the right tone to have and the right amount of enthusiasm. but she also knows she can get a little too into things and didnât wanna mess him up. so she just shoved her hands in her pockets to control herself from moving too much and grinned again. âso what do you have so far?â

âYâknow, I woke up so exhausted this morning, I didnât think Iâd be able to leave the house,â Phoenix began, his words coming out quickly and with a lot of energy. âI got some coffee on my way here and WOW, it made a difference!â He took another sip of his coffee, his right foot tapping on the ground repeatedly. âI donât usually handle caffeine well, yâknow, but this is fantastic! Iâm ready to take on the day!â After another sip of his coffee, he made eye contact with the person he was speaking to. âSo what were we doing here again?â
Mavis smiled at him. She was happy to see him all hyped up but she was a little concerned and intrigued by the coffee he has consumed. She never really drank coffee since sh had so much energy on a normal day. She could only imagine what coffee would do to her. At his question she laughed lightly. âOh yeah. I um..I need someoneâs opinion about something with the inn and since youâre Piersonâs brother I figured you would be great help because heâs great help too!â

Mavis liked chilling in the woods, especially at night. Thatâs when the creepier things came out and she enjoyed the fresh air. She liked to chill in the trees and watch nature just do its thing. But tonight something different was going on. She heard people from where she was sitting and saw lights. She had no idea what they were saying, but it was enough for her to start climbing down. She was being so loud; the tree was rustling so loudly and she was trying to be a little more cool with how she landed. But then the voices were super close and she swore she heard someone talk about ghosts. She loved talking about ghosts so she lept the rest of the way down and waved at the people. She probably appeared a little too sudden but she didnât really register that. âHi!! I love ghosts!! Did you find one?â

conrad was never that good at introducing himself. he never really knew exactly when the right time should be, or what words would be the easiest to say. although he knew he had to get himself out thereâmake some friendsâso he took a deep breath and looked over at the person beside him and smiled a little bit, âheyâuh, hows it going? my names conrad. whatsâŠâ he stumbled on his words and bit the inside of his cheek, âup?â
mavis grinned at him, her pointy teeth in full view as she starts to speak. she says itâs because she doesnât eat meat, but given the fact that her last name was draule it was fitting. âiâm mavis! conradâs a cute name,â she giggled. âare you alright? you look a little nervous! i promise i donât bite.â

â if we live through this, remind me to thank you. â
@awkwebby
Mavis laughed loudly, looking back at Webby to smile. âRelax! Itâs just the attic. Probably full of creepy crawlies and loose floorboards. Maybe we die! But if we do, we get to haunt the hotel! That would be so much fun!!!â She started to head further up the ladder to the attic. âThis isnât too much, is it?â
what happened between you and pierson???
âWhat do you mean? I love Pierson! Heâs spooky!â

A small smirk grew on her lips at the girlâs assumption that she wasnât someone who should be made to feel stupid. It was right and Shock was glad that she gave off that sort of vibe. âGood,â was all she simply said as she relaxed a bit and let the stranger continue. When she was asked what she thought, Shock opened her eyes and looked at the photo. It surprisingly didnât look as ridiculous as she had thought it would. Sheâd been completely prepared to go wipe it all off the moment they were done, but she found that she actually⊠sort of liked it? âItâs good.â A lame answer, but this was still one of Piersonâs new girls and Shock refused to give her anything more than that. âThanks, I guess.â
Mavis grinned at the approval. She wasnât normally the type to seek approval or anything like that, but this girl felt like a tough nut to crack, and she wanted to see what she liked. âYou look badass. Everyoneâs gonna wish they were you.â She put her things away and then looked down at her feet. âUmm....do you have any plans? For the rest of the parade? I think we should take some selfies...So people can be jealous of you for looking so good!â
shockbordesâ:
Shock simply hummed in her response, already pretty sure she could guess what the girl was doing just by her words. It wasnât something sheâd think to do herself - but then again neither was applying glitter in the first place. Again she reminded herself that it would help her fit in and sheâd hopefully be home before either of her siblings had a chance to see her in it. âJust donât let it look too childish,â she finally says, realizing she probably should have interjected that earlier before the girl got started.
Mavis stopped for a moment, surprised by her concern. âOh no...I wouldnât do that. If I did then you would look stupid,and I really donât think youâre the kind of girl that people should make feel stupid.â She went back to working on her face in silence after that, a huge grin on her face once she was finished. She pulled out her phone and snapped a quick photo before giving the other girl her phone. âWhat do you think?â
shockbordesâ:
As the girl stepped forward with the open container of red glitter, Shock almost regretted agreeing to this. She didnât need this stranger all up in her space, especially not when she remembered that this was one of the girls that started to hang around Pierson after the broke up, but it was too late to go back on it now. So instead, she closed her eyes and just dealt with it. âNot too much,â she states coolly, opening one eye to look at the brunette. âThis will wash off, right?â The last thing she needed was to show up to work tomorrow covered in glitter like some kind of child.
Mavis nodded her head. âOf course it does! We canât have glitter on our faces every day. Even though it would really fun.â As she came up with a better idea for what she wanted to do, the strokes sped up a bit. âYouâre going to look so hot when Iâm finished. Or erm. I guess hotter. I...I was making a pun. Y-Youâll see what I mean!â she stopped herself from talking further and continued to paint. Hopefully she wasnât being too much.
shockbordesâ:
First instincts have Shock wanting to refuse and stay far away from the disastrous mess that the red glitter would inevitably make, but one look around made her realize that most of the others at this event were also covered head to toe in the shiny substance. With an internal sigh she nodded her head and turned back to the girl. âAlright,â she agrees, knowing she should blend in as much as possible. Plus the red would look on her and itâd compliment with the ripped black jeans and white tank she was wearing. âThe red will do.â
Mavis grinned, taking the red body glitter and biting her lip. Was she putting it on her? Did she wanna do it herself? Mavis couldnât really read her. But she didnât hate that; it just made things a bit more intense. She figured she could try it and if she tensed or got upset she would hand it over. She dipped her makeup brush into the red glitter and got a little closer to her, carefully starting to apply the glitter on one side of her face. âHope this is okay. I promise I have a steady hand.â
@shockbordesâ
âOh wow! Sorry about that!â Mavis said with a small smile. She had been so caught up in the parade, following it from behind the blockers that she had bumped into someone. A gorgeous someone so like she wasnât complaining but she also looked a little mad so she did feel bad. âHope I didnât get too much of my red glitter on ya. It is wicked though, right?â
Annoyance flared up when someone bumped into her, but like always Shock kept her features schooled in a polite smile. It was important to keep up appearances after all. Though the smile did falter for a brief second once she saw who exactly it was that had jostled her. One of the girls Pierson hangs out with now. Go figure. Though she did have to admit she was quite cute and the red glitter did look wicked on her as she said. Not that the realization of that did anything to calm the bit of jealousy that had risen inside her - even if she knew it was ridiculous and stupid. âNo problem,â she states coolly. âRedâs my color anyway so I guess it works out.â A partial lie as Shock would be pissed if any of this glitter lingered for too long, even though she had known it would likely be unavoidable if she attended a pride parade event.Â
Mavis nodded her head in agreement. Red did look really good on her and there was no mistaking that. Her cool demeanor didn't mess Mavis up on bit: she waa forgiven now she can move forward. "Do you want some glitter? I kept some on me just in case since sharing is caring and I figured red body glitter would be super needed." She was going to have to fix her arms a little but that didn't take much. "I have other colors too! Even though I'm not using them for myself."
