I need this dress.
people who struggle with secondhand embarrassment obviously don’t have enough firsthand embarrassment in their lives. be more ashamed, like the rest of us. there’s enough shame to go around. start pullin yer weight
tumblr claims to be the most diverse open community and yet what is this ? i am being shame-shamed?
I feel like this would be a slippery slope towards making it illegal for people to choose to not vote.
that’s already how it is in australia
That’s just so fucked up. :( Do certain medical conditions exempt you?
?????? why is it be fucked up to have compulsory voting? that’s the way it is in most democratic countries? it’s a part of being a citizen, like paying taxes and obeying speed limits? the fine for not voting is only like $50 and because of the compulsory voting law, our country bends over backwards to make it accessible: it’s always on a weekend, lasts most of the day, and is set up at schools and community centers so there’s one within easy reach of almost everybody. you can also mail your ballot or vote early if you’ll be out of the country on the day. like, IT’S EASY TO VOTE, and the penalty isn’t even that ridiculous. i don’t understand why the usa doesn’t have this, except obviously it would make it harder to literally stop minorities from voting.
people who don’t like this are often coming from a place of wanting to protest by refusing to vote… and this would penalize them for that. They want a perfect candidate they agree with 100%. It is NEVER going to happen. So they honestly don’t ever plan to vote and instead will continue to complain about a broken system while not making any moves whatsoever to fix it.
ok but you also don’t actually have to vote for anyone in Australia, you just have to turn up at a voting booth and give them the slip of ballot paper. You can leave it blank or fill it out in a way that makes it invalid and you’ll still have fulfilled your civic duty
Like as long as you show up that’s all that matters, you could turn up and draw a dick on it for all anyone cares, but you showing up and deciding to spoil you ballot is your choice, it’s better that way then not showing up at all
finally some good news from this tic tac infested hellscape

My boyfriend just woke up, mostly still asleep and told me “don’t worry, it’s getting better” in a heavy, American accent, which is unusual for an Australian man.
“Why are you American?” I asked, to which I got:
“Sorry, it’s getting better” in a stereotypical posh English accent.
“Why are you English?” I asked, amused.
“What is he normally?” He managed to ask.
“He? You’re not anyone else, you’re you.”
“Ugh, me” was the last thing he said, in a right proper Aussie accent before he fell back into proper sleep.
Bitch just thwarted a ghost possession by judging his accents
i dont understand how i procrastinate everything i do like i even procrastinate watching tv shows? i feel like normally you would normally procrastinate doing things you dont enjoy like homework and cleaning and stuff but tv shows? who am i

Hey, remember when Raphael was painting the Cupid and Psyche frescos at the Villa Farnesina and he decided that his lush and fertile garland frame was too subtle in implying the fruitfulness of sex and romance between the two main figures and so he included a huge penis fruit with pendulous fruit-balls splitting open a very graphically suggestive fig?
Subtlety of a bulldozer.

Having a memory is like playing the ‘Telephone Game.’ Your brain distorts your memories more and more each time you think about them- so basically, when you recall a memory, you’re actually just remembering the last time you remembered it. Source Source 2
Trump nominates Christopher A. Wray as new FBI director
Trump on Wednesday announced on Twitter that he will nominate Christopher A. Wray as the new director of the FBI.
Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said on CBS This Morning that the nomination was an effort to distract from James Comey’s upcoming testimony.
Wray is a lawyer who served as assistant attorney general in the DOJ’s criminal division under President George W. Bush.
He currently serves as a partner at the law firm King & Spalding, and was New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s personal lawyer during the Bridgegatescandal. Read more (6/7/17)
Jeff Sessions proposed resignation after Russia recusal enraged Donald Trump
Attorney General Jeff Sessions allegedly proposed his possible resignation to Trump in a recent meeting amid an increasingly fraught working relationship, ABC News reported Tuesday, citing anonymous sources close to the president.
According to the ABC report, Trump remains so angry with Sessions over the latter’s decision to recuse himself from all matters related to ongoing investigations into Trump’s widely rumored ties with Russia that he “lashed out repeatedly at the attorney general in private meetings.“
Sources told ABC News the president personally blames Sessions for the expanding scandal, which now counts multiple congressional inquiries, a special counsel and an FBI investigation. Read more (6/6/17)
