Consider: The Summer Hikaru Died, Hollow Knight AU. They both got eldritch entities made of black goo. And elaborate generational rituals. And also Yoshiki really likes bugs

I ended up making them a firefly and moth based on your guys suggestions, cause it fits with "Hikaru" being drawn to Yoshiki's light, and moth wings also work well for translating the ooze patterns. But I also wanted to bring in some of the weaver lore since it fit with the Indou family curse stuff, so I decided to make Hikaru a silkmoth :)

I'm not enough of an expert on the hollow knight Lore to fully flesh out everything, but I do like the idea of Hikaru in this AU being the child of a weaver and a moth tribe member, who was offered as a sacrifice to appease the void maybe? But something went wrong and he ended up as a vessel for it instead. But mostly I just wanted to draw them as bugs.

Natsume Week 2026: Dates confirmed!

In 2026, Natsume Week will run from Monday the 3rd of August to Saturday the 9th of August (Tokyo time).

in new zealand, our evil government are trying to legislate definitions of women and men, in ways that are legally incoherent but clearly trying to pave the way for more horrifically transphobic legislation. we have an election in a few months but our main opposition party, and all our mainstream news media, are so spineless and cooked that there's a good chance the ghouls will win reelection.

it took 2 whole months for local terf group 'speak up for women' to get 2,000 signatures on the petition that led to this new bill in our parliament.

it's taken five days for this pro-trans 'they don't speak for us' petition to get 17,000 signatures.

this is a show of support that is really heartening for a lot of trans people in our corner of the world.

cis/ish women, if you're from here but haven't signed yet, please do. and if you're not from here and you know any new zealanders, could you send them this petition? a full fifth of our population lives overseas, and there's a good chance they don't follow the news.

I've been playing Silksong and my love for Hornet burns brighter day by day. She'll meet a stranger on the road, politely introduce herself, and tell them gravely and sincerely that she's concerned for their safety in this dangerous land, and that she hopes they keep well. And then she'll take out a fantasy 4Loko from under her cloak, chug the whole thing, crush the can against her forehead, and fling herself off of a cliff into the subterranean lair of Mother Fucker Unlimited, a monster six times her size, slaughter him and a dozen of his most annoying friends, black out, wake up an hour later on the cold ground, drag herself back up onto her feet, and do it all again.

Why is it that every time I google something like "Are olives poisonous to cats" the top results are always like "Fun fact: Cats are carnivores! This means that they eat meat. I've been using the pet poison hotline's poison list cause it has a search function. It also tells you whether something is mildly, moderately, or severely toxic which can be very handy! It doesn't contain like everything but it might be a good place to start, it also includes plants for fellow houseplant lovers <3
