however, he seldom has time to prioritise such holidays. he doesn't view them as trivial by any means, oh no. but his schedule is so busy, he struggles to balance it out

this is an interesting one

minho is a complex guy. despite presenting to be rather straightforward, those who are closest to him knows that is infact far from the truth

minho thinks valentine's day is another way for people to spend money for no reason

he is romantic in his own way. he just believes that love should not be limited to one single day. it should be expressed every day, in little ways, all the time

but if you think he'd admit this outloud? you'd be disappointed

obviously lee know would be huffy and be permanently shrugging and not make a big deal out of the day 🙄

valentine's day with hyunne is a priority to him. being the prince of all things romantic he will spend a lot of time planning this day

which can make him a bit of a perfectionist

and also eager to top it the next year

would've given you an artistic gift because thats how he channels his innermost thoughts and emotions

so he might gift a painted portrait of you, or wrote you a poem, or made you a song. that sort of thing

and whatever date you end up having, he wants it to be private and intimate. just the two of you...

the members knew this. he was classified as one of the more sensitive souls of the group. the type of person that let their feelings devour them. the type of person that indulges in artistic pleasures just to make sense or control or maintain or understand what they are feeling.

it is a soul that easy to be drawn to. a man with a soft masculinity is hard to come by. hyunjin is elegant in his movements, ethereal in his looks, gentle with his touch.

and above all, he is kind.

you stare at the sketch he drew of you from memory. the imperfections of your face that you always focused on seemed to be... flattering. not removed or ignored. every feature was important to him. and he made the ugliest part of yourself look... well, rather lovely.

"how long did this take you?" you asked in disbelief, swallowing nervously.

he simply shrugged, a soft smile tugging on those plump lips of his.

"i don't know," he said simply, and his eyes told you that he was devastatingly in love with you.

your friendship with him had never been simple. because with two souls so passionate and emotional and wild and involved and kind and raw, they tended to find each other, and mingle together. not in a way that fits the confines of a friendship.

"i don't know what to do with all the love you give me sometimes," you whispered softly, eyes full of despair and desperation and love. they all seem to coincide nowadays.

hyunjin looked relieved, his soft brown eyes softening, his face thoughtful. his thumb stroked the outside of your hand, slow circles. gentle.

he allowed you to dwell in the moment, tilting his head, allowing his brown bangs to frame his irritatingly beautiful face.

he took the sketch away and placed out of the way for later.

"what to do with all the love i give?" hyunjin hummed and wondered over how to answer.

his long fingers found the inside of your palm, creating swirling patterns that made your skin tingle with sensitivity.

"embrace it. it's all yours. all my love: yours. forever."

[18:19pm] you stare at hueningkai with a rather intense sort of look. not so much as a glare, although your eyes a squinting, as if you are trying to understand. to fathom what is before you.

hueningkai, in all his awkward charm and sweet nervousness, let's out a huff of uneasy laughter, giving you a little bit of a side eye.

"if you want a staring competition you should've just asked, you know" he joked, although he was hoping that was the reason for you persistent staring.

he started to worry, dread setting in. did his skin look too dry? or too oily? was there something on his face from when he ahd devoured that hamburger earlier? was their acne popping up?

he winced at his own thought and rolled his eyes at you, flicking your forehead gently so that you come back down to earth. in a soft gasp, you blinking your eyes and held your head.

"hey!" you groaned, because even a gentle flick from hueningkai was bound to leave a mark.

"sorry!" he said, now wincing because of his actions towards you. "you were freaking me out!"

"sorry," you shook your head, rubbing your face with an open palm, collecting your thoughts.

"why were you staring at me for so long?" kai asked, and you could here a hitch in his voice. a slight change in pitch. a twinge that sounded a little... vulnerable? insecure?

"sorry," you shook your head again. what ahd gotten into you today? well you needed to be honest now.

"i... just can't believe your real," you murmured, and he looked quizzical, an eyebrow raised.

"like... your face. your face is real," you elaborated, which somehow made it more vague and created more confusion.

"your face is not a thing of myths. it is a beautifully crafted gift from whatever higher being created you." he wasn't expecting poetry from you this afternoon. he was in absolute awe of this current verbal display, and stayed rigid in his chair for a moment.

"like... you're so beautiful. handsome. ethereal. i feel inspired by you. i don't know what i feel inspired to do yet," you tapped your chin in consideration. "maybe kiss you?"

"can you shut up!" hueningkai had balled his long body up into a fetal position, a stupid grin of his red face as he squirmed from your continuous praise. "jesus, where did all that come from?"

you shrugged simply, and shook your head, gazing at his blonde hair, the way it made his features looked softer. those eyes of his, gentle and warm but also passionate. the unqieu feature sof his face, each angular line, sculpted to perfection.

"you're so hot i start recite poetry, basically," you murmured sarcastically, and he raised an eyebrow, peaking from his large hands that he had been hiding his face behind up until now.

"well don't, it freaked me out big time" he chuckled, grunting as he adjusted himself in his seat, squirming a little. his fidgety self could not sit still, especially after your comments.

i haven't posted here since 2023 (gosh its literally been that long). i am still alive.

i don't know who will see this!! i am possibly talking into a void right now.

i think my life in 2023 was busy and complicated and, while it still is, i was looking back on my old posts and how much response i got from people and i was like... yeah, that was fun!

"Are you warm enough?"

He had asked you this multiple times, his fingerless-gloved hand holding your bare ones. Both your arms swayed slightly as you walked further into the forest, and your fingers stayed connected.

"Yes, Mingi," you giggled at his repetitive question. He was being very sweet today. Making sure you were all warm, wrapped up cosy with a big scarf on. He offered you his gloves but you said you were finally. You would settle for holding his hand instead, which sat warmly in yours.

"Mingi..." you started, a quizzical look on your face as you looked at the two paths ahead of you.

You were both faced with signs that you hadn't seen before. Signs which pointed different ways, telling you different locations. But where were you going...

"As we lost?" You questioned, releasing his hand and walking up to the wooden sign to have a closer look at the directions.

"No," Mingi automatically said, his stubbornness spiking free before he could even take in his new surroundings.

But his new surroundings weren't really 'new.' Everywhere in this damn forest looked the same. No landmarks, no fields, no benches. Nothing but mud and trees and leaves scattered all around.

"No, we're not lost," Mingi decided again, walking up to the sign that you were staring at, "we're exploring."

You snorted at his statement, "Okay, Dora the Explorer."

Despite your humour, you were a bit unsettled by the fact that you and your boyfriend were stuck, in the middle of nowhere, both of you hopeless with directions.

"Come on, this way," he grabbed your hand again in his, tugging you along with him down a path which led to who knows where.

You found yourself following him instead of protesting. It was easier that way.

Besides, it felt nice to have his warm hands back in yours.

Okay,I love autumn and especially Halloween,I swear I get more excited for it than Christmas,and one of my favorite things to do during this time is snuggle up in a cozy blanket w snacks and some hot drinks and do a Tim Burton movie marathon and an annual screening of Coraline (my favorite movie of all time). he's so soft for this cosy season and he's legit down for any autumnal activity you can think of, if he finds the time, of course

he can be a bit of a romantic sometimes and, when he's walking during his lunch break after work and he feels the crisp autumn air on his skin and the dim-lit cafes where people huddle into for warmth, he can't help but be reminded of you

autumn is a comfort season for him, and he wants to spend it with you

but his favourite thing to do is snuggle up with his partner and binge-watch movies, on his days off.

fluffy blankets are important!! but he usually overheats and takes then his off, usually wrapping you up in his blanket and chuckling at the sight of you smothered in all these blankets.

will always ask if you're comfy and give you tons of pillows too. you basically have too much stuff on/around you because he wants to make sure you're the cosiest you can possibly be okay ??

when it comes to movies, channie is pretty open-minded. For instance, if you suggest watching something like a tim burton film, he's pretty much down for that.

the nightmare before christmas is his fave, btw :)

but just a warning, coraline freaks him out lowkey tho lmao

he won't let you know that, of course.... but you might notice by the way he cuddles up to you a bit more hehe

he still loves to watch it though because he's always in awe of the animation!

usually, he falls asleep during movies, but for the movies that make him feel a bit on edge, there's no hope for any snoozing for him

coraline is his fine, for the most part; if you suggest any sort of horror movie, he just can't i'm sorry. especially if it involves evil spirits like he just can't. might be able to tolerate thrillers or movies with human antagonists. just no ghost shit, yk

give him more cutesy autumn films and he'd be much happier <3

Warnings: cursing, reader has major commitment issues

Synopsis: You are afraid of overstepping the lines from friends to lovers. But San? San isn't afraid of something more...

"Don't you wish for something else?"

You looked up from your phone. You and San both were sitting on either end of the sofa, far apart, and yet your feet were resting atop each other's quite naturally. "Hmm?"

"Don't you wish," San hesitated, his eyes glued to his own device as he racked his brains to formulate a sentence. "Don't you wish for something more?"

A small smile played on his lips. You knew what he meant; knew what he was asking. He was cheeky like this; always making suggestions about 'what ifs' and 'maybes' that you eventually shut down. As you would do again, this night.

"No," you said, after thinking for a bit. "This is nice... is it not?"

"Yeah," San replied immediately, his voice ever so soft, "Yes this is nice."

Friendship was a tricky thing. Or, it was for you two, at least. It would be easy if you were both on the same page. But you never were. It's not like there were any major miscommunications between the two of you. It was just... you both had a mutual yearning to be together, forever.

San is more of a romantic than you ever were. But you had made your boundaries: friends only. That's it.

But you felt you were thoroughly deceiving yourself. When you look at San, the one you call your best friend, your cheeks start to burn. Your heart starts to quicken. There's a light in your eyes when you hear his name; a smile on your lips when you hear his voice. Perhaps these weren't just feelings of friendship after all?

And it didn't help that San kept questioning the bond you shared with each other. He felt a massive attraction and he hoped, he prayed, that he wasn't the only one to feel it. And he could feel, just by the way you looked at him, your feelings matched his, whether you spoke them or not. He wasn't going to give up.

Stubborn bastard...

You gazed over at him from across the sofa. "Just lay off it, okay?"

San tutted and shook his head, "You know I can't do that."

"Why?" You felt a spark of defiance ripple inside you as you dropped your phone on the pillow that rested on top of your lap.

For a moment San looked pained. And then he smiled softly and shrugged, "I just can't."

"That's not good enough," you said harshly, but he just smiled. You weren't going to push him away, even if you tried.

"I know," he started, breathing out a gentle sigh before shuffling closer to you. He reached out to hold your hand in his, but you flinched as he did so.

He rubbed his thumb on your palm to calm you.

"I know you think that we might ruin something special," San's fingers started to fiddle with yours, "but I don't think you should let that get in the way when it's us. You and me. There's nothing you can say or do that will make me stop loving you."

You didn't look San in the eye because you felt tears start to form, touched by his words.

"Crossing the line between friends to... more..." your hands were stiff in his, even as he tried to relax you, "it's risky. Friendship is safe. Friendship is light. Relationships... they're serious and complicated."

"Yes," San nodded, "they're messy and unpredictable and fiery sometimes. But have we not been through stuff like that as friends already?"

You didn't respond to him, but your hand relaxed in his. You let his fingers trail over your skin, soothing you in the tenderest of ways.

With his other hand, he cupped the side of your face, lifting your chin up to meet his gaze. There was so, so, so much love shining in his eyes. Love that he couldn't possibly think to put into words because, well, the feelings were just too pure.

You looked at each other like this, until he leaned forward to place a kiss on your forehead. What felt like a big hole in your heart had suddenly healed. He stayed there, like that, lips connected to your forehead, before he pulled you into an embrace, resting his chin on top of your head as your face nestled into the crook of his neck.

And you breathed. And you relaxed, fully in his grasp.

And you realised that he was the first man you had ever felt safe with.
