Do you think INFJs are capable of cheating?

I think all the types are capable of doing anything. MBTI shouldn’t be considered a behavioural prediction, but rather a set of cognitive processes that may lead someone to make certain behaviours.

Although I’ve read many theories about why people think INFJs can’t cheat due to their strong Ni/Fe making it incapable for them to hurt someone close to them. Which is very possible in a mentally healthy INFJ.

However, an INFJ with severe depression for example, may have a very tired and “overactive” Ni/Fe and therefore might succumb to the inferior Se urges in a destructive way, INFJs tend to think of this as experiencing an out of body experience and indulge in sensory pleasures such as overindulging in food, taking drugs, binge drinking OR cheating on their s.o.

So yes, I think they are capable of cheating. As an INFJ, what I described above is what I have experienced. We often get put on a pedestal because of our kind nature, so it’s normally a bigger shock to our s.o. and those around us. It doesn’t however, come without a lot of guilt and self hatred, as you’d expect from an INFJ.
