Dylan’s home was purchased with big dreams of starting and building his family. Unfortunately, things did not pan out with his wife, so instead of downsizing  he kept the home he grew to love and opened 2 of the 4 bedrooms to his friends that needed a place to stay.

Dylan heads to the den and turns on the television to a news channel before heading into the kitchen for a snack.

Location: cecilia’s art gallery

Cecilia had spent the entire morning finding the perfect spot for every piece in  her current gallery collection, which doesn’t sound like much work, but she had to consider everything. Which pieces complimented each other, which didn’t, spacing, lighting…it had been a long day. She was just looking at new light fixtures online after deciding the ones in place weren’t her style when she heard the gallery door open. “I’m sorry, we aren’t open to the public yet. As you can see,” she sighed at the slight disarray behind her. “Can I help you with anything while you’re here?”

Of course the place that he blindly entered would be one that’s not fully functional yet. That much he gathered from the unfinished appearance of the interior and the woman’s apology. In turn Dylan has his own to offer, considering he didn’t mean to intrude, and especially in a manner that appeared as if he were being chased. “Ah, sorry! I just needed a place that I could quickly duck into unnoticed.” On the sidewalk ahead he spotted a familiar face that he would rather avoid. “My Aunt’s friend is pretty chatty and I’m not exactly in the mood to answer 99 questions about how I’m doing right now— but you didn’t ask me any of that,” a terse smile ended his rambling. “How about a do-over? I’m Dylan, “ he extended his hand in greeting. “Is this place going to be a gallery?”
