Managed to keep my hand steady enough to do some cleanup. Fiddlin’ with the Clip Studio animation tools.
For the daywalkers
Honestly, this artist is one of my favorite people. From the sense of humor on display in MGDMT to the quality of those thick, tabletty tapered lines she forms all of her extravagantly proportioned characters with, coelasquid pretty much nails where I’d like to land as an artist. Not as in I want to ape her style or make work like she does, but just the way it’s clearly developed over time and is a labor of love. Everything’s aggressive but rounded, completely unapologetic in its unique personality. I’d like to be able to say that about *my* work someday. But I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one of her characters from MGDMT move, and while I’m fully aware she’s done animation work before to see a comic character transition so fully into an animated one in just a few frames is just straight-up impressive. Anyway, I’m getting a new tablet this week and hopefully it means making more art. See you awesome peeps then.
