When twilight fell, the Palace would EMPTY of wandering servants and tarrying advisers, allowing Aladdin the RESPITE he needed from the trials of the day. It was hard to pretend ALL THE TIME, harder than it had been when he’d been Prince Ali - for different reasons. For ONE, he didn’t have to look like he knew everything there was to know. Instead, he had to look COMPETENT enough to LEARN it all. Aladdin thought this was infinitely harder.
The only PEACE he could get, aside from when he was alone with Jasmine, was in the GARDENS, in the fresh air. He didn’t know that this once was Jasmine’s OASIS as well. He only knew it was a LOW TRAFFIC AREA, tranquil, and a good place to THINK.
THUS was why he was surprised when Morgiana SNUCK UP on him. Starting at how CLOSE she had managed to get before he had HEARD her, he frowned at her words, squinting up at her. ❝ I do, ❞ he answered, wary. ❝ I wouldn’t say I’m the best for whatever vision you’ve had, but lay it on me. ❞
”Yes, well…you may be our best bet, Al.” The way she spoke was ominous. Glowing orbs wide with concern, she tried to compose herself by sighing once before taking a seat alongside him. While the serene trickling & bubbling of the fountain was soothing, it wasn’t enough to calm her nerves. Her hands were clasped tightly together in her lap, gaze downcast. Leg shifting up, she felt the smooth stone against her skin as she sat on her calf, while the other dangled off. It may seem like an odd way to sit to anyone other than her, but this position felt most comfortable to Morgiana. Tan fingers finally released their grip from each other & combed through her midnight hair. The Seer finally looked to Aladdin, hesitance pressing her eyebrows together.
“Her name is Bizarrah… & unlike Genie, she’s twisted by her cosmic power. She was once imprisoned within her lamp on Dragon Island, before a wizard released her-…” Pausing, she realized this information was just as new to him, as it was to her. “Dragon Island was once off the coast of the Red Sea. It was infested with red dragons, which were known for hoarding gold. They were attacking neighboring kingdoms for food & wealth. That is, until a wizard by the name of Pharaoh Very Ankh-Amman decided to take action. To the people, it seemed as if he was doing this to save their lives…but in actuality, he only journeyed there in search of more POWER. Typical, right?”
“Anyway… the wizard pharaoh had heard of a magical silver lamp, hidden away by the dragons ever since it’s creation. He coveted it, convinced there was a genie within that could grant his wishes. And so… he journeyed to the island, slayed the dragons, & uncovered his prize. Once she was released, Bizarrah quickly revealed her true intentions. With every wish, the evil genie would use his commands against him as a means of wreaking havoc upon the lands. In an attempt to seal her away, Pharaoh Very Ankh-Amman imprisoned her within a floating pyramid in a dimension created specifically for her. Several defenses were put up to ward off any magic user from entering. Nobody has even tried. Not in thousands of years… but…”
Trailing off, she hugged her middle, now staring into the water cascading down into the basin below. What she had seen in her vision was… confusing, much like any dream, but much more vivid. The pictures in her mind were hard to even formulate into words. She knew her predictions were always correct, but what would HE think? Inhaling sharply, she continued in a rushed, almost panicked tone.
“Then I saw Princess Jasmine trapped within a mosaic! Genie was stuck in an enchanted dungeon cell, Abu was in a very small cage, & the Sultan was thrown inside a vortex! And- and… I saw a SNAKE. It was slithering past the lamp! I’m…afraid…that with these memories I’m seeing…& these strange images…Aladdin, I fear Bizarrah has escaped.”
