you grab another drink, choking a bit on the bitter taste of alcohol. stress drinking is a rare habit of yours that resurfaces often enough to build an abnormally high tolerance. you should, realistically, make a better effort to supress it, but you always can’t help yourself in social situations, especially paired with the other factors at play. factors that you’d rather drink away than drive yourself to hysteria thinking of.

The flowers wilted. I tried to keep them alive, believe me, but they withered more the longer you weren’t there. You always had more of a green thumb, didn’t you? The forest always liked you better.

Since you've left, I've finished my base. I used to complain about it to you when the silence between us was too heavy, but in reality it took less than a week to tidy everything up. I can imagine your 'told you so' even now.

Since you've left, I've come to realize my favorite dish isn't as good as it used to be. I wonder if it's ever really tasted good, or if i just enjoyed it because you were eating it alongside me.

Since you've left, I've done my laundry. I've discovered new hobbies, tamed baby wolves, been mining, taken a nap, and woke up the same; without you.

I've found, since you've left, that i miss you more in every mundane thing in my life; in all the mundane things i will never be able to tell you.
