He's up against Jake Auchincloss, who's doing shockingly poorly for someone with something like $7,000,000 in funding, possibly because he's an all-around detestable corrupt scumbag whose only friends are corporations and bombs. There's a real chance Jason Poulos might win in MA-04's September 1st primary, which decides that House seat, which is nuts (!!!) and would make a hell of an impact on Democratic politics. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that people will jump at any chance to justify their worst impulses 😣 They want to find the one group whom it's "OK" to scapegoat and negatively stereotype. They want to find the one person whom it's "OK" to treat unfairly. And they'll dress it up in language that makes it sound like *you're* the bad person for criticising this attitude, whether it's religious or socio-political. It's a universal behaviour that does my head in 🤦‍♀️

a couple years ago i noticed a kind of gentrified syrok made with greek yogurt being introduced to the american market under the name "clio" and i tried them, they were fine but nowhere near as good as the classic farmer's cheese version.... but nobody ever really talks about syrok, you gotta go to the eastern european markets here in south brooklyn to get your hands on em (i've found them as far north as kensington but they don't sell them past windsor terrace so for most people it's a schlep). but everyone i've ever made try them immediately becomes obsessed. this is a treat that SHOULD have a viral tiktok moment because it's absolutely so goddamn good but i feel like most people just don't know they exist!!
