If you ever have the opportunity to tour the Kearney Mansion Museum in Kearney Park in Fresno County, DO IT. At 123 years old it's just as beautiful today as it was the day construction was finished.

The Other World by Jean-Gabriel SOULA
This was once the home printery for the Fresno Morning Republican Newspaper starting in 1919. The building has served many different purposes over the decades, but now it is owned and operated by the Fresno City And County Historical Society. You can take a tour on Fridays and Saturdays. It is located in Downtown Fresno about a block from Courthouse Park. It is now known as The Archive On Kern. They are in the process of turning the entire building into a world class archive and research facility, with the intent of it being accessible and available to the entire community. Think of it as a mix of the Smithsonian and the National Archive. You can purchase tickets on the society's website www.valleyhistory.org the building is also available to rent for events. Christmas parties, weddings, special events, etc.

A hidden treasure in Downtown Fresno. I highly recommend taking the tours available from the Fresno County Historical Society. The area has such a rich and diverse history.

Rain falling on roses. All I did with this one was up my shutter speed to make the drops look frozen in time.

An interesting tree in my backyard. We've been told that it's a variety of olive as the fruit goes from green to yellow to red and then a dark blush purple. If anyone knows for sure I'd love to hear your thoughts!
A duck blind in one eye has taken up residence in my in-laws pool with his mate. They migrate with the rest of the ducks in the area when the time comes, but they always come back to my in-laws house. He's been coming back for 5 years now.
